“Resembles a Turtle”

Some brilliant person put up a bunch of Missing Person flyers around downtown DC. The flyers describe 84-year-old Senator Mitch McConnell – last seen actually alive, for sure – back in June – as “turtle like” – along with a picture that makes the point. Well, an AI-generated image (probably) of the Dirty Old Turtle, as he is unaffectionately known.

The whole thing reached a level of absurdity – and criminality – weeks ago. It is coming up on two months since the Dirty Old Turtle disappeared from public view and going on two weeks now since the AI generated image of him sitting up in bed, looking like a healthy Dirty Old Turtle with his cheerful looking wife by his side was issued as proof of life. If that image weren’t AI-generated, the Dirty Old Turtle ought to have been out of bed by now – or at least in front of a camera. We’re told – and they actually think we’ll believe it – that the Dirty Old Turtle is just recovering from a mild fall and a bout of not-so-serious pneumonia.

There’s this wonderful scene in the film Rob Roy, in which the Marquess of Montrose, played by John Hurt, is being bullshitted by his henchman Archie, played by Tim Roth. The henchman tries to account for his new suit of fancy clothes by claiming he won at cards. The Marquess isn’t buying it – and neither should we.

The state isn’t merely corrupt; it is insolently corrupt. Of course. Did you expect otherwise? Insolent corruption is the natural result when there are no meaningful consequences for corruption. Most parents understand that a child who is allowed to get away with bad behavior will continue to behave badly – and worse. But parents do have the ability to correct their children. We have lost that power – as far as correcting the state. It cannot be corrected via the ballot box. That is a childish notion. The ballot box – which is a touchscreen in many areas – is merely a device for ratifying the insolent corruption. We are only permitted to chose a different color of insolent corruption, red or blue (which is a shame, because both are the same color – brown – as in shit).

This coming week is probably when the “sudden” and “unexpected” death of the Dirty Old Turtle will be announced. That is, his death (or brain death) of a month or more ago will be officially acknowledged once the clock has run out on the ballot box; i.e., the special election that won’t be held in order to assure that the “anti-Semitic” Rep. Thomas Massie cannot take the Dirty Old Turtle’s vacated seat.

The really interesting thing about this is that Beshear is a Democrat and so (putatively) represents the opposition party. In other words, he has a fine opportunity to embarrass the other party by demanding proof of life. The problem, though, is that might result in someone who is not insolently corrupt – Massie – being elected to replace the Dirty Old Turtle. Beshear prefers that the Dirty Old Turtle’s seat remain vacant.

It is not that Massie is a Republican that’s the problem. It is that he isn’t a younger iteration of the Dirty Old Turtle.

Once again, there will be no consequences for this insolent corruption. “The people” (of Kentucky, in this case) can feel the warm piss running down their backs but are assured it’s just a late summer rain. They know otherwise. So also the people of the country as regards Fauci, who shit in our laps as well as pissed down our backs. The old rat-faced bastard looked right at us – via the TeeVee – and refused to answer questions about his involvement in matters he’s already been preemptively pardoned for by the hair-plugged old bastard, “Joe Biden.” This is supposed to constitute contempt of Congress, nominally a crime. Some people believed this would compel Fauci to answer questions. The poor children! Some of them actually believe that sort of thing. No wonder time-shares still sell and Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity are multi-millionaires.

One day, though, it will have been enough.

That day could be tomorrow or it could be next year or perhaps five years from now. That cannot be known with precision. What can be known for certain is that it is coming – for the same reason that a pot left on a hot stove will eventually boil over.

  1. Hey Eric: What do you mean bout the special election and Massie? Would not Beshear just appoint a new Senator to finish out McConnell’s term? Must be different, then. Curious.

  2. ‘One day, though, it will have been enough.’ — eric

    Is this enough?

‘The mystery surrounding Mitch McConnell deepened on Friday after his office refused to say whether a letter sent to President Donald Trump this week was personally signed by the missing Republican—or by autopen.

‘The July 28 letter, signed by McConnell and every member of Kentucky’s congressional delegation, urged Trump to approve a request from Kentucky governor Andy Beshear for a major disaster declaration following devastating flooding in the state.

‘But when The Daily Beast asked McConnell’s office if the signature was handwritten or produced using an autopen, his aides, led by the Senator’s $226,000-a-year chief of staff, Terry Carmack, declined to answer.’

You are not authorized to receive an answer to this impertinent question, serf.

Monsieur Turtelle will confirm his existence, or lack thereof, at a time and place of his choosing.

    Papiere, bitte.

    • Rabbit, Buzzard and Turtle were going down a road when they came across a farm. The farmer had his goods packed up and was driving away. He told the trio the farm was barren for years, and he was giving up. They could have the deed for free if they wanted to try their luck at growing crops.

The three accepted the offer. They surmised the farmer was not fertilizing the crops as he should. They drew straws as to who would go into town to get fertilizer. Rabbit lost, and so off he went.

Meanwhile, Buzzard and Turtle start digging and strike oil. Suddenly, they are rich and proceed to build a plantation house. Quite some time has passed since Rabbit left. He returns to the farm and discovers an imposing mansion. He knocks on the door, the butler answers.

      Rabbit asks, ‘Where is Buzzard?’

Butler: Monsieur Buzzard? Why, he is out in the yard.

      Rabbit: How about ol’ Turtle?

Butler: Monsieur Turtelle? He is down at the well.

Rabbit: Well, you tell them critters that Mr. Rabbit is here with the shit!
