The man who grifts millions in a day by leveraging the power he has to start and pause wars says there are “Too many non-working holidays in America.” Like Labor Day, for instance. That one day in September that most working Americans don’t have to work to earn the money to pay the taxes that feed the creatures that gorge on their lifeblood like a tick on the neck of a dog. 
Marie Antoinette-like, he continues: “The workers don’t want it either! Soon we’ll end up having a holiday for every once working day of the year. It must change if we are going to, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
That’s right. The workers who work to generate the blood sucked by the tick don’t want a day off in September; one of a handful of holidays that let them sleep in – as opposed to sleeping in the Oval Office during dog-and-pony shows.
This is either deliberate goading-mocking (bad enough) or it is the indifferent contempt of a mean-minded old man who can’t even be bothered to pretend to care about the very goyim who got him elected. Both beg some interesting questions.
What is the purpose of mocking-goading people? Bullies enjoy mocking and goading people. Especially people they consider “losers” and particularly “losers” in no position to do anything about it. But – aside from the ugly joy it gives the bully – what is the purpose of Trump’s mocking and goading of his own goyim supporters? He used to mock and goad his opponents and that made political sense. The wheels have turned, of course – and Trump now stands opposed to his supporters on matters such as the Epstein Stuff and this catastrophically stupid, evil war and its effects – and so Trump wheels about and mocks and goads them for opposing him. 
This is where the psychology gets as interesting as the pathology. Could it be deliberate? Could it be Trump’s particular purpose to goad and mock his own goym supporters in order to demoralize and break them? The answer suggests itself – because it is working.
Not even two years ago, the Make America Great Again movement was not just in ascendance, it had ascended. Trump – its leader – won a convincing victory but it was much more than a polling victory. It was a psychological-political victory greater even than Reagan’s landslide victory back in 1984. The putative other side had not merely been defeated at the polls but routed in the mind. Cast your mind back to the early weeks and months of 2025 and recall the retreat of the putative other side, the flailing of the LGBTQ+ crowd. The relief people felt because it seemed that the “swamp” might actually get drained. That they might actually get a rebate from all the “savings” that Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) was recouping. The goyim were led to believe they’d not only be paying less but that they might even be getting a sizable portion of what they’d been forced to pay (italicized because taxes are not voluntary) to subsidize, in Jefferson’s words, the propagation of ideas (and other such) they found detestable.
All of that was dangled – and then ripped away. It is a case study demonstration of Stalin’s Chicken. The mustachio’d tyrant would roughly pluck the bird until it had no feathers left and then cast a few crumbs by his boots, so that the chicken would eventually come back to peck at them. Trump’s use of the technique differs chiefly in letting the chicken-goyim peck at a few crumbs before he rudely plucks them. Then he goads and mocks them. The purpose goes beyond mere sadism. It is intentional demoralization – and de-legitimization. The goyim who supported Trump are – quite understandably – demoralized. How could this be? What has happened is something like marrying Sydney Sweeny and waking up a year later to find Rosie O’Donnell in your bed and – worse – she’s going to ruin you if you divorce her.
More significantly – and so, probably deliberately – the Make America Great brand has become something like Tylenol after the spate of poisoning deaths; i.e., it is a thing to be avoided. It is also something worse. Tylenol, per se, was not a bad product. It had been tampered with. MAGA is a bad brand – because it was always incoherent, always unprincipled. This made it easy for Trump to get people to believe what they thought they heard. Make America Great Again sounds fine. Who could object? But what does it mean, specifically? Apparently, it means whatever Trump says it means, which is to say it means nothing at all. 
It was always built on shaky ground and that is why it has been so easily toppled. Now that it has been, something new will replace it. Probably something more vigorous because it will be founded on principles, even if they are not openly stated. What will be said are things such as “community” and “fairness” and “safety” and all those other fine-sounding things that are the foundation of evil things. They will be sold as the antidote to MAGA, which has already become a near cussword and certainly a laughing stock.
Perhaps that was The Plan all along. It certainly seems to have been. It is the only rational explanation for Trump’s otherwise inexplicable actions. If it is true, then the cancer goes much deeper than Trump – and it has been metastasizing for much longer, too.

My friend who just had the stroke is a guy who has spent his life working a physically (and mentally) demanding job that provides a needed and valued service to people. He hasn’t tick-fed off of us, as Trump and his kind do. Now he’s suffered a serious medical event that may force him to “retire” – which means selling his business to pay his bills and hope there’s enough left for him to live on.
Damn, I’m sorry to hear that, Eric. You know, for many of us, just having a business of our own *is* the American dream. It is still mine. I finally found that reference. Turns out it was a lot easier to find than I thought, but only after I factored it, pulling out the 40, since that is a common magic number in the Bible. As is 70, the number of Biblical nations of the earth, the context here.
That’s one single rabbi’s opinion. It comes from a blatant misinterpretation of Zechariah 8:23. When people say to the jew, “Let us go with you..”, he interpreted that as “Let us serve you..”, ignoring the last half of the quote entirely, “..for we have heard God is with you.” If you are in doubt, from context the immediate verse before it, they want to go with the jew as they go to Jerusalem to seek the Lord.

You are on to something with the narcissism. Narcissism can manifest in many ways and how it manifest can change with age. Ten years ago (and for most of his adult life), Trump’s narcissism manifested as wanting to be seen as a hero; as the guy that stood up to the bullies for the little guy. But again, all these things were in the first 5 to 6 mos.

Hi John & Steve. I would like to see Trump put on a set of nursing scrubs, and work a medical floor for 12-plus hours. All-the while dealing with sick patients, entitled visitors and family members, and a management system that touts the “what could we have done better” line when something goes wrong. Nursing is the worst for one’s back, and I dare say Trump would not make it a week. He might be able to flip his mouth off, but try that (even if you are right) at work, and you will find yourself with a pink slip. As for “work harder”? Yeah, he can shove that line where the sun doesn’t shine. For at this point, many of us are going to have to take a second job just to afford the gasoline, heating fuel, and grocery prices that do nothing but increase. For Winter is here, and it lasts far longer than our paychecks stretch through the month.

As it happens, an old friend of mine just had a minor stroke; he got out of the hospital yesterday. He probably won’t be able to do the physical work his job entails and probably, he’s going to get slammed with ruinous medical bills on top of that. He’s worked hard all his life and always paid his own way. He’s not a profligate person. He has always lived modestly. But it’s not enough to allow him a decent retirement – because the system is indecent. He’s not old enough to collect his SS dole yet, either.
That is the worst fear for nurses, is strokes. Everyone relates that they would rather have a heart attack than a stroke, because we see first hand how devastating it can be. And sadly, we all dread getting sick, because it only takes one hospitalization to bankrupt a person. Even worse, is that although it only takes one term for a congressman (D or R. House or Senate) to reap life time, taxpayer paid benefits that include, of course, health care, and not ObamaCare, either. Indecent system indeed. I know of far too many nurses who worked simply for the health care, and until they reached the age where they qualified for Medicare. And even then, the younger ones are not sticking around, because the medical field can be a brutal profession. Sadly, you are right, Eric. It does not matter how hard one works. In the end, they get screwed. While the ones screwing us laugh all the way to the bank-and the beach to retire-via the money they stole from the rest of us.

Why not both, you tightwad? The only ones who generally worked between the holidays were maintenance who volunteered for the hours and the double time. (Straight+holiday.)
Not only for the extra pay but maintenance is an endless thankless task, and they can get a LOT done without interruptions from the paperwork end of the spectrum.

As it is an emergence from the darkest days of the year, it can be a time to refresh and celebrate however one sees fit, be it Christmas, Yule, Saturnalia, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, you name it, it is yours to celebrate!

Ok, so, it sounds like fun, and I’m with you on principle, but…it won’t pay off the federal debt. Not by a long shot. The simple fact is, it’s impossible to pay the national debt so long as the federal reserve bank exists. Anyone that comes up with some plan to “pay it off” is living in a fantasy world with no real idea of where the national debt even comes from.
A year? How about one a week until accountability, or morale improves.
