On The Radar

That saying about everything looking like a nail to the guy who has a hammer came to mind the other day when I passed a local cop in my one-stoplight rural SW Virginia county sitting by the side of the road running a radar trap in his brand-new Ford Explorer – paid for in part by the property taxes (i.e., the rent) I am forced to pay each year to the county in order to avoid not being evicted from the house I “own” in the same sense that you are “asked” to pay what they like to call a “fair share” of your money that you earned to benefit other people who didn’t earn it.

Apologies for the long sentence.

Anyhow, it occurred to me that the local cops didn’t used to run radar traps in the county because they drove old Ford Crown Vics that didn’t have radar rigs. They might have wheeled around to pursue a “speeder” if the “speeder” (silly term, isn’t it?) was driving at a speed obviously much faster than whatever the speed limit  happened to be. But they didn’t lurk in cutouts by the side of road running radar to catch “speeders” driving a few miles-per-hour over whatever the speed limit happened to be. They mostly dealt with criminals because you only need a car to do that.

Well, they got a fleet of fancy Ford Explorers – each one costing in the vicinity of $45,000 and each one equipped with a radar rig. And – what do you know? – now they spend a lot of tie manning radar traps. That is to say, they spend a lot of time harassing and collecting – from the very tax cattle that got to pay for the implements used to harass them and collect from them.

This is how it goes.

There was no real need – in the going-after-criminals sense – for a fleet of brand-new Explorers that cost the country at least $270,000 (for six). But someone’s got to pay for all that. More finely, someone’s going to be made to pay for that. First the tax cattle who were threatened with eviction from what aren’t their homes if they failed to stand and deliver what is styled “their” property taxes. Kind of like “your” mask, if you remember the way they talked about that. Then again, when they have the bad luck to be the first one to pass by one of these revenue collectors (and revenue wasters) running his radar by the side of the road as he sits in air conditioned comfort burning gas you “helped” pay for.

This is a fine little lesson in how government works. It takes – and then takes more, having acquired the means to do that via the first taking which justifies or at least enables the second.

The local cops in my one-stoplight town also no longer look like the sheriffs deputies they still refer to themselves as being. From the looks of them, you’d think they were getting ready to HALO drop into Teheran. Full kit, including military-grade body armor, tactical pants and web gear. For what? Well, for the same reason they got the fancy new Explorers and radar sets.

As the rabid Red Legs cavalry officer said in The Outlaw Josey Wales, “doin’ right ain’t got no end.”

Especially when there’s money to be made from the doing of it.

  1. Hey no problem eric. ‘Reply’ wouldn’t work so it’s here.

When those two bogus traffic tickets came about, one a class b misdemeanor that gave me the right to demand a jury trial, the covid diapering was in full effect. Well, I said fuck that and a month before I had to go to ‘court’ I wrote the County Sheriff a nice letter telling him I would be forced to appear at the courthouse on such and such day and time and that I would NOT be wearing a face-diaper. I demanded that he protect my rights and educate his deputies at the courthouse that I will be entering and NOT wearing a mask and I cited certain federal laws for his benefit.

When I strode into the courthouse, deputy do-right came at me with a box of masks and I said NO I can’t wear a mask. He said oh you have to and I pushed the box away. Hehe. There was a standoff until the deputy behind the scanner said, Hey what’s your name? I told him and he immediately said He’s okay let him through. Well, I was the ONLY one in the entire courthouse then and for the six months of bullshit hearings and the ‘trial’ NOT wearing a god damn diaper!! Not one person or even the judge said one fucking word to me about no mask. The judge, the prosecutor, the state trooper with his gun on in the stand being questioned by me–ALL WEARING DIAPERS!! BWAHHAHAA!

See ya. Couple more things about the Law to protect yourself:

“I HEREBY RESERVE THE RIGHT NOT TO BE COMPELLED TO PERFORM UNDER ANY CONTRACT OR AGREEMENT I HAVE NOT ENTERED KNOWINGLY, INTENTIONALLY, AND VOLUNTARILY. FURTHER, I REFUSE THE LIABILITY ASSOCIATED WITH THE USE OF ANY COMPELLED BENEFIT OR UNREVEALED CONTRACT OR COMMERCIAL AGREEMENT.”

Your Real ‘name’ is NOT what you think it is!
YOUR TWO NAMES: Given Name AND Family Name.
NO Such thing as ‘full name’ or ‘first, middle, last name’ and NO ‘sir/sur’ name– NEVER ACCEPT THIS.
‘FULL NAME’ IS A CORPORATE LEGAL FICTION AND IT’S A HUGE FRAUD!

  2. It would be easy to write an essay on how to protect yourself from these criminal predators with badges. One thing to do is always know you are going into enemy territory when driving, so always look for them just like they are looking for you.

Another thing is to GET YOURSELF A DASH CAM!
I have 4 trucks and they all have had dash cams with audio for 15 years and with large memory cards. Got them at Walmart for $25 a piece and they are still working. Saved my ass directly twice. Totally bogus ‘following too closely’ by a state trooper, took it to trial, used the trooper to lay a foundation and get my evidence admitted – Not Guilty!

Another totally bogus C & I ON A PRIVATE ROAD ON PRIVATE PROPERTY! The law does not fucking apply on private property unless you let some suit fuck you around in court. I demanded a jury trial — CASE DISMISSED! (Because they got humiliated by the first trial and found out I knew the law and how to get evidence admitted!)

So the last recommendation is to LEARN THE LAW! Not what fucking lawyers say about the law. They are high priced liars and fraudsters. Study the Law. It’s really not that hard to find out how something so important that is constantly used against you really works. It’s not rocket science and it’s not magic. You can learn it just like anything else.
    Anyway…

  3. When I was a new reporter, I was tasked to cover a small no-stoplight town in our county, which basically meant go to their hours-long town council meetings. (They had a lot to fight about.) They hired some young-gun town marshal and at one meeting, the whole town turned out to complain about him. He was rude, brusque and by-the-book. Several people called him a gestapo. One of his worse transgressions was putting a women and her month-old baby out to walk in the cold so he could have her car towed because she lacked proper registration.
His attitude stank to high heaven. How dare the citizens who were paying his salary have any say in how he did his job? They, however, stood firm that they did not wish to be harassed about mundane, victimless, process crimes … leave that to the county mounties. His job: Run the teens off the playground at 11, stop the obvious and dangerous speeders in town, make a report when there’s a burglary or car accident and show up at the school on DARE day.
He followed me to my car next meeting to give me shit about the “gestapo” quote. My response was I didn’t call you a gestapo; one of the people you work for did. (Tough talk, but I was shaking inside. I had to drive in that town, too.)
Anyway, he didn’t last much longer. But the larger the town or government entity, the less pull “we the people” have.

  4. Eric, ever see the inside of one of these newer cop cars? Looks like more equipment than the situation room at the WH. While they may get a ‘deal’ buying many of them, I’m betting they cost a lot more than 45K to copify them.

  5. “as he sits in air conditioned comfort burning gas you “helped” pay for.”

It’s even worse than that. A week or two ago I pulled into a local diner for lunch and parked next to a TN highway patrol explorer that was sitting there running. It wasn’t hot outside, mind you; I could at least understand if he wanted the thing to be cool when he came back to get into it. The guy just left it running while he was inside having lunch with his parents (or friends, I took it to be his parents).

    • Yup – and we get to pay for his lunch, too.

I could never understand how any man not a complete scumbag could work in what is styled “law enforcement” as it entails bullying people who’ve caused no harm to anyone, stealing their money (on behalf of your employer) and earning your living by having it forcibly extracted from the hides of people who do not desire your services.

    • Actually they do that to keep the batteries charged due to the ridiculous electronics drains of the radios, computers, and surveillance equipment. Though I’m sure keeping the climate control on is part of it.

    • It does look bad, but there are multiple reasons aside from climate control to keep it running. Mainly to keep all the computers booted up and running. No one wants to have a call on the radio and have to wait for the computer to boot up while driving to a hot call. They send vital information directly to your in car laptop on the location, suspect information, ect. You can also see where other units are on the map. Secondarily, keeping batteries charged, not dealing with the risk of the engine starter not working. Now if you see a community service car running with no laptop or a closed one, your point is valid

  6. Few people hate these mother fuckers more than I. I used to say, The only good one was a dead one. Now I say, The only good one is a dying, suffering one. For me, justice would be: Strapping to them chairs while making them watch as 5 or 6 of thier fellow “law enforcement” buddies are shot in the back of the head and then, cutting off one of thier limbs and letting them bleed to death. I really hate these pricks.

    • Hi Doug,

I’ll argue with you over that one! I despise armed government workers because even though I am not a criminal, even though I harm no one, I am constantly having to sweat being hassled and mulcted by them. I deeply resent being forced to “help” finance “services” that I neither want no support. I do not – unlike some – believe these AGWs “keep me safe.” I keep myself safe. When seconds count, a cop is 20 minutes away (in my county).

      • They sell as somehow “keeping us safe”, but meanwhile, THEY are ones we have to fear, and the ones we have a far greater chance of encountering and being victimized by, much more so than any civilian street thug.

    • I don’t hate them, but since the government is illegitimate and seeks to rule through them, and since peaceful protest like running or disrespecting them is so harshly punished, that reaction is entirely normal and the safety valve will blow when enough pressure builds up.

    • I literally would not piss on one of them if they were on fire. I’d be happy to crap all over any one of them though, whether they were on fire or not.

  7. Also, do consider the municipal “maintenance” costs for these new Ford Police “Exploders.” Eric, please double check with Ford on this, but I believe that a number of common repair/defect engine/transmission corrections requires the dealerships to fully drop the entire engine/trans axle assemblies out from under the front of the car. It looks like the car gets cut in half!?

I recently saw three “newer” police Explorers, at a local Ford dealership, that required this drastic approach, all for the same grave issues.

  8. Biden Diagnosed With ‘Aggressive’ Stage IV Prostate Cancer

One can empathize with an 82-year-old man diagnosed with a probably fatal condition …

… while still suspecting that given the thorough medical monitoring of the occupant of the Oval Office, this diagnosis was known long before it advanced to a dire Stage IV.

Indeed, this might be the reason why ‘Joe’ dropped out of the presidential race on 21 July 2024.

Fortunately, ‘Joe’ survived long enough to pardon his entire corrupt, grifting family, including his crackhead son Hunter and his thieving, degenerate brothers and sisters.

    Any questions?

    • They lied – again. Prostate cancer doesn’t typically manifest suddenly. So they knew he had it while he was still “president.” Which means the old SOB – had he been elected – likely would have died before the first year of his second term, had he won one.

The whole thing stinks worse than a dumpster full of dead chickens.

      • Karma is a bitch, what’s goes around comes around. The degenerative old quiff can join McCain in hell. Maybe should have passed on the Jew jab. Life is hard and it is harder when your stupid….,John Wayne

      • Again, we are faced with two options re: Biden’s diagnosis of aggressive, stage 4, prostate cancer that has spread to his bones.

        1. This is just another piece of the façade that was the Biden presidency. This, along with his obvious mental decline, was kept from the public. The most obvious reason this was done was because those who held the power behind the cut-out figure of a president didn’t want to give up that power.

        2. The POTUS is being treated by the most incompetent group of “doctors” ever assembled and they just flat missed it.

        Now, which is it?

        • Good morning, Mark!

I don’t believe incompetence explains this. The old grifter had multiple physical exams over the past five years and routine blood work would have showed elevated PSA levels, warranting further investigation. Then again maybe the old grifter got Turbo Cancer from the jabs he pushed (and took) which would be poetic justice.

I will not feign sympathy I do not feel for a man who would have put me into a camp for not being “vaccinated.” Enjoy your actual embalming, you old SOB!

          • Eric,

With regard to Joe Biden, as horrible as his Presidency was, it was obvious that he wasn’t REALLY the President the past 4 years given given his mental health. If anything, Ol’ Joe was more a victim of elder abuse, be it by his wife, his staff, Barack Obama, or someone else, as he was too demented to even RUN for President, let alone BE President, but the media, the establishment, and the Democrat Party wanted everyone to be believe he was fit to serve, and accused people who tried to tell the TRUTH about Biden’s mental decline of being CONSPIRACY THEORISTS. And now, ironically, some of the same media types who made such accusations are trying to sell books about the cover up of Biden’s mental decline.

        • Third option.

Maybe they stopped giving him the placebo and gave him the turbo cancer jab.

I think (1) is most likely, followed by (3).

      • Scott Adams (Dilbert) just revealed his diagnosis.

        https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2025/05/19/scott-adams-reveals-prostate-cancer-diagnosis/

He does mention that he did not wish to reveal it sooner because of the social media backlash for him receiving the COVID shots. Breitbart decides to inject that “there was no evidence of any causal link”. Really? Four men that I know (one uncle and three clients) are going through chemo treatment for prostate cancer that has metastasized into the bones right now. The cancer is so rapid nothing is stopping it. Guess what they all have in common? But, we are to pretend it does not exist and there is no co-relation.

    • Oh, that’s a shame. Shame that the bastard only has one life to give, considering how many deaths, robberies and who-knows-what-else he is responsible for; and shame that he has already lived a long life.

      Rot In Pieces, ya POS!

Joe, we knew ye far too well!

    • My condolences to the prostate cancer, as it is affected by a terminal case of the Joe Bidens….
But it could be worse, it could have a terrible case of the Hillary Clintons….

      • ‘it could have a terrible case of the Hillary Clintons…’

Ugghhh — a fate I would not wish even on a spirochete.

  9. In addition to up front cost of the Explorer and upgrades to meet “hero” standards, the Explorers are a lot more costly to maintain than the Panther platform Crown Vic ever was.

The Crown Vic could and often was maintained by idiots, barely capable of changing the oil, but just that maintenance would routinely get 400,000 miles out of the vehicle before any serious money had to be spent, which is the reason so many were bought by police departments and car services.

  10. Why does anyone need to pay property tax when Washington has a magic money machine that creates money out of nothing? They spent 8 trillion on the Gulf Wars. What if they gave us the 8 trillion for new cars instead?

    335,000,000 million Amerikans x $20,000 = $6.7 trillion

    —————-

Let’s ask Ai: what is the sum total property tax is paid each year in all 50 states?

“In 2021, state and local governments in the United States collected a combined total of approximately $630 billion in property taxes. This amount represents about 15 percent of general revenue for these governments.”

    • Ask Ai, which nations do not have property tax?

The full list of countries without property tax for residents and non-residents includes Bahrain, Cambodia, the Cayman Islands, Cambodia, Croatia, the Cook Islands, Fiji, Georgia, Dominica, Israel, Kuwait, Liechtenstein, Malta, Monaco, Oman, Qatar, the Faroe Islands, Fiji, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the Seychelles, Sri Lanka, Thailand, the UAE, and the Faroe Islands.

      https://immigrantinvest.com/blog/no-property-tax-countries/

      —————

Perhaps we should organize to eliminate property tax and most gov’t functions, and one main reason, outside of saving money, is based on moral grounds. The government is immoral, some say gov’t is pure evil, it taxes us to kill us with vaccines, deadly additives in food, pollutes the air with chemtrails, makes war, pays cops to be militarized, etc. etc.

Why exactly are we paying for evil?

      • Two thumbs up for the Cayman Islands. Some of the best infrastructure I have ever seen…and no taxes. Also, extremely nice people. Hubby accidentally left his wallet in a rental car we were using…over $700 and we came back about two hours later and they had it. We tipped them for their honesty.

The price of groceries will make you sick though. Everything is imported.

  11. Here is a Henderson Texas hero deciding to check a man’s junk to be sure he is unarmed then deciding it’s better to kill him. This is the state of law enforcement today.

    https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=3104eda309b25bab&q=henderson+texas+police+kill+man+in+traffic+stop&udm=7&fbs=ABzOT_CWdhQLP1FcmU5B0fn3xuWpmDtIGL1r84kuKz6yAcD_ip1RA3L6hbNpnjK_ML6MGeX9tsslGBAmA7OONF1MAjQZrzOUgQeEP3u4PbHm9AoeqYLaTBpe6uoUOdg4_2KgK39tgci-a0hDltNMP7oL-woMI9_wajYilLZjGVWdf3YLf6jGk-UeDBpjltQCg6IPOqo42AVsCTIKw21kthC7jub2yhq9jg&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiIorDRra2NAxVqATQIHQ32FDcQtKgLegQIFRAB&biw=1528&bih=738&dpr=1.25#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:94e134ff,vid:nhSZhMaUsTg,st:0

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?… The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If…if…We didn’t love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation…. We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

  12. ‘you’d think they were getting ready to HALO drop into Teheran Gaza. Full kit, including military-grade body armor’ — eric

Our tax dollars ($30 billion of them last year) at work, murdering babies:

DEIR AL-BALAH, Gaza Strip (AP) — Israel launched “extensive” new ground operations in the Gaza Strip while airstrikes in its new offensive killed at least 103 people, including dozens of children, overnight and into Sunday, hospitals and medics said. The strikes forced northern Gaza’s main hospital to close.

Israel began the offensive — the largest since it shattered a ceasefire in March — on Saturday with the aim of seizing territory and displacing hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.

    Hey, hey, Donald J
How many kids did you kill today?

  13. I could go on for pages about the Amerikkkan Stasi.

Fortunately, I live in PA, the only state (I believe) that doesn’t allow local freedom suppressors to use radar. They try to get it changed every year, so one day they will.

I live in a town with no cops, so we pay a neighboring township for use of theirs. I have much to say about their lack of ability to tell the truth.

Another neighboring township has acquired an SUV equipped with cameras on top. Purpose? Scanning license plates.

So they drive this thing around every day, performing a virtual stop and frisk of your car. Papers please.

Sure there are the ignorant masses that have been lulled into the belief that without those “boys in blue” (more accurately boys in 5.11 black outfits, utility belts, plate carriers, ready for a day of LARPing) we would all be subject to daily arson, theft, and rape. They will (and have) defended cops sitting in the road at a traffic light to catch ne’er-do-wells, while in violation of the law themselves to do so. Idiots.

Meanwhile, our saviors from slaughter are protecting and serving us in maximum disguised vehicles in which police identification can only be seen at night via reflective stickers.

Their covertness is reminiscent more of espionage than policing. Which at the end of the day is what they are. Spies attempting to subvert your peaceful existence and freedom for the purposes of control.

But alas, they will point to the few instances they are helpful and tell you that it is worth the millions of dollars to fund their militia. Fuck them all.

    • Hi Dan,

Coming back through Georgia yesterday and I noticed on some of the major highways they now have overhead cameras. On 95 yesterday, near the Savannah exit, they had one. Hubby looked up and asked, “What is that?” I said, “It is a camera to see if you are on the phone or not wearing your seat belt.” A half mile up the road…guess who was waiting? GA state patrol.

    • Dan, I’m glad some folks (many of the people here) can see things for what they are. Very easy to become discouraged with the number of, ahem, “retards” walking around insisting that “da police iz theres to helps us!”.

Such bullshit. I appreciate the clarity of your comment.

  14. Its all part of a demoralization campaign against ethnic Europeans designed to push them into extinction. Getting stopped is a humiliation ritual. Its been going on ever since they crucified Christ. Most of these thugs also attend all costs paid “police training” junkets to Israel.

Just consider how suddenly, all across the planet, statues are torn down and replaced by those of angry overweight negro women. These events are not just coincidence, their agenda is bitch slapping us across the face.

  15. The Outlaw Josey Wales, Cool Hand Luke and One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. This triumvirate encapsulates the current relationship of The State v. The Citizenry.

Some might say The Matrix, 1984 and others more accurately describe our situation but, they don’t get to the base violence for non-compliance. “To Protect and Serve”, if it ever was true, has been replaced with Comply or Die. Luke and RP McMurphy are the epitome of how The State deals with those with Oppositional/Defiance Disorder (I guess drapetomania was too hard to spell). Josey Wales gives us hope.

  16. Josey Wales, an outlaw on the lam, could have cut the rope, the Redlegs would have been stranded on the other side of the river shore.

What fun is that when one shot sends them down the river and into the drink?

This past Monday the temperature was about 97 degrees F.

It began to rain on Wednesday, lasted three days, the temps dropped to 34 degrees at night, the high temp today is going to be 49 degrees.

Cold out there, you need a coat. The good news is I can burn weeds and wood.

  17. “Full kit, including military-grade body armor, tactical pants and web gear.”
All that gear won’t protect these traitors when the people they ‘protect and serve’ finally recognize the slavery they have endured for their entire lives.

  18. I got entrapped by the road pirates this pass week, operating a motor vehicle while not wearing available seat belt. They had a stooge watching for traffic criminals and was radioing ahead to bilk said motorists. I felt so much better having having 180 dollars extorted from myself. That is 5 seatbelt fines in 45 years I am a repeat offender.
The insurance pirates crank your rates up on such “convictions “.

Eric, my grade 7 English teacher called it a run on sentence.

  19. I wonder what happens when there are actual less offenses to be ticketed? What happens then when that fancy fleet isn’t pulling enough “revenue” in? Do you then get pulled over for trivial offenses like that car freshener hanging off your rear view mirror or a dirty license plate that can be ticketed for “obstruction”? Or would the AGW’s sink low enough to ticket you for a busted tail light after it “ran into their nightstick”? There were dirty cops in the past and may well be plenty now. Besides if you were victim of traffic foul play, who’s the judge going to believe? I’ve come to believe that the county courthouses are nothing more than revenue collection centers praying on the citizens.

    • Real criminals are dangerous and there is no revenue to be had from them, which leads one to wonder why all the body armour for passing out traffic violations.

    • Hi Allen,

A few months ago, I had two of them Hot Pursuit me about three miles from my house after I passed them in my truck with the Farm Use tags on. They were lurking by a storage place waiting for an evildoer such as myself. When I pulled over, they approached as if they suspected I was a recently escaped murderer. One on either side, one of them carefully touching the tailgate so as to leave his fingerprint. Over Farm Use tags.

      Surreal.

      • The Israelite SOP policing paranoia has long infected our domestic military occupiers. They’re armed to the teeth and scared sh*tless that someone might come up from behind and give the a cranial injection of lead. Gee…I wonder why?

      • You are damned if you do, damned if you don’t, Eric. If you decided to go anti-social and keep to yourself just to avoid these Commie, power-tripping bastards, one of these well-armed LEO’s would be at your place doing a “wellness check”. They would be more than happy to shoot you six feet under & claim everything you own for themselves while claiming it was “suicide via two shots to the back of the head”. Good grief, and just when you think the bottom could not drop out, society says, “here, hold my beer”.

  20. A lot of that cop stuff is paid for by federal grant money. Check and see how much your county gets in grants and that may tell you how they paid for all that tactical shit.

Of course, once they are on the federal money teat, they become de facto imperial police controlled by D.C.

Want to keep the money flowing, Ossifer Bubba? Y’all better use that kit to find some “drug dealers” and “terrorists”…
