The president’s strange outbursts grow more frequent. This happens when the mind begins to slip into the twilight of second childhood, as anyone who has dealt with the phenomenon can attest. It is either that or the man is incredibly – as in unbelievably – stupid. Or it is something much worse.
It has to be one of the three.
The latest outburst took the form of a video depiction of the Obamas as apes – and himself as a sauntering lion king, fawned over by the other denizens of the jungle. It’s no easy thing to decide which of the two depictions is the worse – in terms of the sheer infantile idiocy of it.
His supporters – are there still any? – say it is “fake outrage.” No.
It is exasperated disappointment.
This gratuitous, pointless video Trump posted – and quickly deleted as the outrage swelled – only served to generate sympathy for the Obamas. It served to give the Left a new talking point.
How does this advance the MAGA cause?
It gives them and those allied with them a handy stick to beat anyone who supports MAGA with. They are obviously petty, mean-minded racists – because their leader is sure as hell making himself look like one.
Can he be that obtuse? It beggars belief that anyone not a literal drooling moron, addled by drugs or mentally impaired in some way – as by advancing dementia – could not see the way depicting the Obamas as apes would be received and portrayed.
And yet, behold. Another needlessly stupid blood-letting of political capital.
How long until he says “mooncrickets” or “jigaboos”?
The president of the United States is making (or at least, authorizing and approving the posting of) videos like this. Let it percolate. The president. The man who has the power to start WW III is sending out videos – as the president of the United States – depicting the Obamas as apes and himself as the swinging dick king of the jungle.

How long before he rolls on his back, lifts his legs – and lights a fart?
Of course, he is already farting in the faces of everyone who still supports him. Some still do. Americans could not understand this because it seemed so obvious – to Americans – that the Germans were beaten and the war lost.

Why – again – does Trump insist on doing the things he’s been doing these past several months? From a rational – a self-interested – point-of-view, they are not only counterproductive they are actively destructive. He gives the Left exactly what it wants – evidence that he is an asshole and insane. He refuses to fire assholes such as Kash Patel and Jeanine Pirro, both of whom sharted in the face of people who voted for Trump and got away with it. It is a madhouse. A clown show.
Or it is something else, touched on here before.
It is – perhaps – deliberately done, to demoralize the reasonable people who voted for Trump because they were exhausted after four years of “COVID” and “Joe Biden” and men wearing lipstick in uniform (and elementary schools) and just wanted to see America get normal again – not order-barking goons on American streets (and stupid, childishly derogatory videos) and hoped that evil people such as Dr. Fauci and Anthony Bourla and the creeps associated with Epstein might actually face consequences. Instead, they got Obamas-as-apes videos and maybe World War III – to make Israel Greater Again.
It is also serving to delegitimize everything that might smack of “conservative” – by taint of association with this obnoxious, vulgar bully. If it continues down this path, it will soon be difficult for anyone not an outright Communist to run for anything. That is how bad it is. That is how serious it is.
And it may well be how on-purpose it is.
You have probably heard of creative destruction. It is the idea that in order to create something new, something old – as in the pre-existing order – must first be destroyed. It is the modus operandi of the string pullers, the people who really run things and use people such as Trump (and Biden and the Clintons and all the rest of them) to front for them. They do so willingly for the same basic reason that a pole dancer dances. She gets the money, honey.

You may be making a most fundamental mistake of assuming any of this is real. Trump is an actor playing a stage role.

On a purely practical (Realpolitik) level, Trump is going to be the cause of a massive backlash at the ballot box. This has already happened in VA. It is going to happen nationally this coming November. The Left – Democrats – will likely get both houses and a mandate. Maybe this is 55D chess. Just snagged a ticket to Democrat Gov Katie Hobbs’ Feb. 25 State of the Rural State address in Arizona. It’s a nonpartisan event, and I have a nonpartisan ulterior motive: asking the governor to cut the ribbon on a cool, grant-funded trail project our volunteer group is building.
Hobbs, who is up for re-election in November and likely will be opposed by R-party Freedom Caucus Rep Andy Biggs, probably will win. I hate to say to say it, and I’m not seeking to be defeatist.
But Trump has ‘negative coattails’ in this midterm election. Demented antics such as mocking minorities as apes gratuitously cost the R-party votes, in a state where Hobbs won by a skinny 17,117-vote margin in 2022.

Now the House and Senate must act again before the 2-week extension expires, to provide full-year funding for DHS. The SAVE Act is still in play in the House. They’ll vote on it next week. But in the Senate, 53 R-party votes isn’t enough to push it through — it needs 60.
A period of DHS shutdown might ensue. Republicans could change the filibuster rules. But it would come back to bite them. What a mess.
