Here’s a story about an armed government worker – a “lieutenant,” which is a rank conferred in the same manner as SA Obergruppenfuhrer – who was seen driving erratically and recklessly, probably assuming he was immunized from any repercussions as a member of America’s Praetorian class.

The AGW is driving a nice new expensive truck – paid for by the tax-victims of New Jersey.

The AGWs who respond to the calls of citizens about the recklessly driving AGW are extra-deferential and extra-cautious. One takes care to tell the other that their audio is “live” – a hint to be careful about what they are about to say.

They wait for several minutes, talking among themselves, before they even begin dealing with the “lieutenant.”

“We’re gonna have to pull him out,” one says ruefully. As they would never say if it weren’t a “lieutenant.”

The “lieutenant,” when finally – almost apologetically – approached by the AGWs, dismissively says he’s only got “half a mile” to go (home, presumably). What do you suppose the “lieutenant’s” reaction would have been to a citizen who made the same plea for mercy?

The AGWs continue to politely wait for the “lieutenant” to exit the vehicle, which he finally does – without being Hut! Hut! Hutted! out of it, as anyone else would have been.

The soused “lieutenant” gets belligerent – but his lack of “cooperation” doesn’t result in a Tazering or other form of Hut! Hut! Hutting! Even when he refuses to get into the back of the AGW mobile – not handcuffed, it’s important to point out.

“Can I have 20 minutes?” the “lieutenant” pleads.

“Put him in the front seat,” one of the AGWs whispers.  And the “lieutenant” is allowed to walk on his own – not cuffed – back to the AGW’s squad car.

“There’s no cuffs,” the “lieutenant” insists – and is allowed to park himself, not cuffed, in the back of the AGW mobile.

“Is it absolutely necessary we cuff him,” one of the AGWs asks?

At each step, the arresting AGWs are practically obsequious to the “lieutenant” – probably because they realize they are on camera and also because he is “one of them” and not a disgusting Deplorable in need of “education.”

Finally, they do cuff the “lieutenant.” In front – not in back – and gently, not as they would you or me.

What do you suppose they would have done absent the cameras?

How much do you want to bet the “lieutenant” would have been allowed to drive that half-mile home?
