  1. Speaking of absolutely unnecessary modern features that add expense, weight, and complexity, the powered lift gate is high on my list of annoying things.

    How damn yard is it to grab the handle and pull?

    • Hi Kevin,

      I agree – but here’s an insight. A friend – female – has kids. She often has one in her arms and thus it is awkward to open the liftgate. Cars – crossovers, especially – are very much designed with women in mind. Hence the ubiquity of the powered liftgate!
