“Now We Know”

If you follow or are aware of Devolution – a hypothesis (as distinct from a theory, which has evidence and facts to support it) that the military assumed quiet control of the federal government around the time Joe Biden was declared the “winner” of the 2020 presidential election – you may be aware of John Rich, the country singer. He is also a a proponent of this Devolution thing, which asserts that these military “patriots” have been “in charge” since then  and that everything that has been unfolding since 2020 (inclusingthe re-election of Trump) is part of a “plan” that ought to be “trusted.”

It’s early for a drink, isn’t it?

Well, this John Rich dude recently sat down with Trump and some others who’d been invited and says he was asked by Trump why his people boo him at rallies whenever he mentions – favorably – the “vaccines.”

Rich says he said: “Okay, I’m gonna tell you the answer and you’re not gonna like it. . . Let me start off by saying this: we, the American people, do not trust the people that you were forced to trust at the time when this was happening.”

Italics added.

It is a major tenet of Devolution that Trump was “forced to trust” these bad actors; i.e., that Trump is an innocent who got duped.

“By the people we don’t trust, here’s who I mean – the FDA, the CDC, the NIH, the WHO, Fauci and all the rest of them. . . Mr. President, we consider them to be a bunch of murderous depopulationist psychopaths.”

Rich then tells us about Trump’s reaction.: “His eyes are – he goes, Unbelievable. Unbelievable . . .”

“Now, let me tell you why they’re booing you,” Rich told him. “Because all of them, including me, I said, I would boo you. I would boo you.”

Rich goes on to explain that ” . . .it dawned on me, nobody had told the man what I was telling him right now, cause they all work for him, they all got something to gain from him.”

Italics added.

Trump got rolled!

“Here’s why they’re booing you, Mr. President. . . .every human being out in that rally, either themselves or they know someone directly who has been harmed by the vaccine, or has even died from it, including me . . . got members of my own family who were forced to take it against their will to keep their jobs, and now they’ve got all kinds of problems – big problems. Heart problems. Lung problems.”

Now comes the punchline of the joke that’s not funny:

“And he’s, he, he’s looking at me and he, he looks around the table and he goes: This is unbelievable .  . . Is, is this – does anyone – has anyone else heard this?”

Italics added.

Are you laughing – or crying? Maybe smashing something with your fists?

This Rich guy thinks Trump didn’t know – if only Stalin knew! – which is bad enough. Far worse, though, is the pass Rich and his fellow Devolutionists give Trump for pretending not to know these “vaccines” weren’t going to be forced on people and after the fact – to this date – that he has yet to apologize for that or even acknowledged that the “vaccines” was the farthest thing from being “beautiful.”

Nazi doctors were hanged and hounded to the far ends of the Earth for performing medical experiments on a relative handful of unwilling victims. It is a war crime under the Nuremburg Code that served as the basis for hanging and hounding those Nazi doctors that forcing people to submit to medical experimentation against their will is a serious – a capital – crime.

The principle established – now forgotten – is that no human being is to be forced to submit to medical procedures or without the doctor having obtained informed consent from the patient; i.e., that the patient is fully advised of the risks as well as the potential benefits of the treatment or procedure. Withholding information about risks or exaggerating supposed benefits is – was – medically unethical.

Something on the order of 320 million Americans were subjected to exactly that.

They were not informed that the drugs being pushed on them were of extremely questionable origin and efficacy. Not even the doctors who served as Satan’s Little Helpers knew what exactly it was they were injecting people with. They just injected their heavily-pressured patients with them. Many of these doctors did so because they were under pressure to do just that. They were only following orders. That did not fly at Nuremburg.

Why does it fly now?

It is risible to believe that Trump doesn’t know about the damage caused by the drugs he helped to push. To believe that requires belief on the order of the belief that Stalin did not know about the Gulags and the Russians being sent to the camps. It is not possible to believe that the president doesn’t know now why people boo him at rallies. His feigned surprise is bullshit of the highest order – and Rich ate it up like fried chicken at a 4th of July party.

“Unbelievable”!

“Has anyone else heard this”?

The retort ought to be: Is anyone buying this?

Rich gave Trump a golden opportunity to own up. To state that he was wrong about the “vaccines” and that he is sorry about the whole awful mess. That he is going to do all that is within his power to make it right, including holding guilty parties such as Albert Bourla of Pfizer – accountable. Instead, he solicited funds from the latter at a big-donor MAGA fund-raiser held at his NJ golf club to “primary” Thomas Massie.

Maybe Rich has a 75D chess explanation for that one.

A pathological liar’s greatest tool is his ability to lie with unction. To manifest convincingly persuasive what do you mean?  and I didn’t do that. Bill Clinton excels at this. “I did not have sex with that woman,” he said. It just depends on what one’s understanding of “sex” is, you see.

Trump is also a master of the art and perhaps excels Clinton in this respect. He certainly excels him in audacity. How stupid does Trump think his followers are? Well, very. He even said so recently.

The truth is they’re not stupid, just deluded. Rich seems like a good man who has been badly duped by an evil man. Good men want badly to believe when they hear what they consider to be  good things coming out of the mouth of a sly but charismatic and convincing demagogue. Slick Willie understood this. Trump understands it.

Perhaps one day, the Red Hats will understand it also.

  1. I know the emergency rubicon was crossed a long time ago and redlined for coof, but now the Orange Ass is just throwing this around for any and all things. His latest is crime in DC is now an emergency necessitating federal takeover of city law enforcement. Coupled with his perpetual military fetish, it means deploying troops. See, I’m not ok with this. Because not everything is an emergency, and if everything is than nothing is a true emergency situation. And there is an endless stream of issues one can go to town on if you call them each an emergency. This authoritarian piece of garbage is going to finish this country off with red hats flying through the air, fireworks, and Lee Greenwood’s brain fart blaring from the rafters.

    • There is evidence that this is the first real step into turning DC into a dystopian “SMART CITY” (not for the Important People of course) in which the peons servicing the Important People get to live in 15 minute Hell while their masters enjoy their Pedo Parties unmolested in Upper Northwest DC, Potomac, McLean and Great Falls.

The Orange Clown is all onboard with the WEF “you will own nothing” agenda of course but the MAGAheads that remain oblivious while the “conservative” media and “influencers” herd them into their pens. Just check out the comments on any of those sites and prepare to be depressed.

      • Hi Eric,

The ironic thing about that is, those same people claim they would have fought Hitler in Nazi Germany but acted like little Nazis themselves during the height of COVID hysteria & COVID jab mania. Remember the shrieks from them and corporate media how the unvaxxed and people who refused to wear face diapers everywhere were “dangerous” and a “threat to public health”? What’s even more ironic is that to this day they still call people who don’t subscribe to their political (or even COVID/ vaccine) beliefs FASCISTS or NAZIS.

      • Your analogy is flawed. They are not “Germans” or “Nationalists” (NSDAP – “NAH – ZEE – OH – NAHL”. You are calling someone a “Nati” or “Nashi” short for a Nationalist. Not an Insult to our Founding Fathers or any learned American). The Covid Pushers are GLOBALISTS. They’re the Marxist Internationale’. Communists.. Get it right. Thank you.

  2. Go Fuck Yourself – to anyone who buys that shit!

Just be practical. Covering up Trump’s shortcomings is not the answer. Neither is ONLY focusing on them, refusing to back any real progress.

    • Morning, Steve!

I’d love to see some real progress. Instead, the we have Trump backing Lindsey Graham and pushing Palantir and REAL ID. Inflation out of hand. No repealing of regs (just temporary dialing them back a bit). Support for Israel no matter what it does. A U.S. president going after any who boycott that rogue state. Where is the progress, exactly?

      • [X] Sit around and bitch and complain

You equate the “Red Hats” as Qtarded Israel supporters.

Eric’s not gonna drag everyday American’s through the mud, we voted Trump and don’t like what’s going on.

        • RE: “we voted Trump and don’t like what’s going on.”

…Too bad, you can’t do Jack, about it.

…ALL the Trump flags & banners here in, rural ‘Red State’ Eastern Iowa have disappeared.

    • Attention all Trumptards,

      https://stateofthenation.info/?p=29401#more-29401

“Trump is throwing all of his political weight
toward removing the most heroic Patriot in
      the U.S. Congress?!?!?!?!?!

      What a fucking asshole!!!

Yeah, you read that right: A FUCKING ASSHOLE ! ! ! And Trump should take that as a great compliment in view of his despicable trashing of the extraordinarily heroic Rep. Thomas Massie of Kentucky.”

  3. Don’t be surprised if Trump assassinates Putin in Alaska.

Trump invited Putin on a peace treaty, same for Soleimani who Trump murdered:

“The assassination of Qasem Soleimani occurred on January 3, 2020, when a U.S. drone strike targeted his convoy near Baghdad International Airport, killing him and several others.”

Putin is the ringleader of BRICS which threatens Rothschild banking empire. US hegemony is being threatened by a multipolar world. Trump is a Rothschild agent taking his orders from the City of London.

The USA under Rothschild agent Biden blew up Nordstream then stole $400 billion from Russian oil trading accounts

“Western states stole more than $300 billion from Russia, which were on the accounts of Gazprom in Western banks as payment for Russian gas, said Sergey Lavrov, Russian Foreign Minister, TASS reports.”

The USA has tried to shoot down Putin’s jet more than once

Trump is a deciever, a liar, and the antichrist. You can not trust Trump, the Russians are fools to send Putin. Trust not treacherous Trumpenstein turncoat treasonous traitor.

The west lost Ukraine to Putin, so why not be a sore loser. Putin has been a thorn in the side of Jewish world domination.

The west tried to kill us all with the covid death jab, which only killed 20 million, killing Putin could trigger WW3 and the instant deaths of billions – just what they want.

Jews hate Putin, he thwarted their plans for a Great Khazaria empire remake.

Jews hate Russians, they killed 66 million according to Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

Jews hate Putin who has outlawed gays and trannies and ended LBGTQ and promotes orthodox christianity and family values

Jews hate Iran which is allied with Russia, Russia bought Iran drones used to kill Ukrainians

Trump could divert attention away from Epsteingate. Who will care about that when everything is being nuked back to the stone age?

Of course the assassination will be staged as a false flag, and Trump will feign innocence. “We didn’t know the 8,0 earthquake would collapse the concrete building on our friend Vlad”

  4. Did Trump know?

Trump is a con artist and is stupid, so if Trump didn’t know or was stupid is up in the air. Perhaps Trump did not know. Not likely, but still a probability. Thus Trump can act like he didn’t know about the dangers of the vaxx and fool his redneck MAGA base (who still love him, lol). If you think you know Trump is lying – can you prove it in court? Probably not. You would have to have testimony from some insider who witnessed Trump being briefed about the dangers of the vaxx. Regardless, the orange Trumpenstein base is rapidly evaporating as Jews and Israel have been found out. What amazes me is that Tulsi and Dan Bongino still work for him – or maybe both of them are also an act.

Now when it comes to the Gaza genocide, can Trump feign he didn’t know it was a genocide? Not a chance, see Caitlin Johnstone’s recent essay: To Future Generations: They Knew. They All Knew What Was Happening In Gaza. Trump knows it’s a genocide and talks around it. But he knows and doesn’t care and is ok with Israel butchering people – including our soldiers. Trump is being found out as the Zionist bastard that he really is.

In the case of the Gaza genocide, Trump can be (easily) prosecuted for aiding and abetting, making him equally culpable. How can anyone still support Trump after he endorses a genocide, especially after the Covid attempted genocide? I mean, are you really that dumb not to see this orange huckster is MAGA in name only? Obviously QAnon is a sophisticated psyop to keep hope in Trump alive while they roll out the agenda. That means Q is probably an Israeli psyop to roll out he Jew agenda. Trump is all MIGA and no MAGA, at some point the MAGAtards will have to come to Jesus over Trump’s actual loyalties – but the problem is many MAGAts are also Zionist Evangelical whoreshippers of Zionist Israel. So they are not alarmed about genocide because the nation the love Israel is doing it.

Jews have a special status in the minds of these religious nutcases, Jews can do no wrong even when they blew up every Christian church and hospital in Gaza. Is there any hope for our nation when people are that dumb? Speaking of dumb, or acting dumb, is a pecuLIAR trait of Tucker, who acts dumb when he talks about 911 being an inside job, or god forbid Israel. Who could of known that 911 was an inside job or that Israel did it, or that false flag was used to start the endless War of Terror?

  5. That’s a powerful reflection on the nature of truth, belief, and political theater. You’ve really captured the core tension between what is said and what is known, and the almost tragic willingness of people to believe in a narrative that defies all evidence. The parallel you draw to Stalin is chilling and effective, highlighting how the powerful can create their own reality, while the willing believers sustain it. Your piece makes one consider the fine line between naivety and complicity, and the profound questions it raises about accountability in our modern age. It’s a piece that lingers.

      • I realize what “Vanilla” said is something we can all agree with, but tell me if you disagree: it reads very much like an AI bot wrote this. Eric, I’m wondering if your site has been targeted as a place where AI can be “trained” to zero in on dissident thinking. (Apologies if I’m being too paranoid.)

        • I’d have to agree with you Jason, and this isn’t the first time such a comment have appeared here. I hope we’re wrong and Vanilla is just an overly-polished commentator.

        • Like Milli Vanilli, AI is really good at lip syncing.

At heart, it’s industrial-scale plagiarism — but with a thin veneer of ostensibly even-handed obfuscation.

It’s almost a feeling you can touch in the air
You look all around you but nobody’s there
It’s been a long time now since you’ve been aware
          That someone is watching you

          — Alan Parsons Project, The Voice (1977)

        • That was my first thought too. Human mimicry. Not necessarily a bot, but maybe a commenter who filtered his thoughts through AI.

    • Anyone thinking any (((government))) is here to help citizens needs a redpill and blackpilled lobotomy and suppository.

Become the Gray man and get ready for the ensuing and oncoming train wreck to western civilization, culturally and economically.

It’s the (((plan))), Goyims, get onboard or get run over!!!
      (Sarcasm over)

  6. The other elephant in the room that most seem to overlook is the fact that so many people are in a position where their jobs are so crucial to their existence that they would choose take a chemical concoction which they knew would be detrimental to their health (and even fatal).
This is because most of those people unquestionably accepted a debt-based existence. Rather than saving when one is young (and can often live with their parents for free or close to it), the typical scenario is to get credit cards while still in high-school or shortly thereafter; to amass debt for “education” (and squander one’s most productive and energetic years amassing that debt, instead of earning); to get a corporate or government ‘position’ in their early 20’s, and immediately amass more massive debt, by buying a house and cars, etc. entirely with debt; Get married; have kids….. all based on that job that allows them to make payments on all of that debt- including interest and taxes and insurance.
Can’t make the payments? You lose everything. You would think that the “vaccine” fiasco would be a wake-up call to anyone who has never questioned this universally accepted scenario (As if the shakiness of this economy weren’t enough….)- But NOoooo! That scenario is still the norm to which almost everyone clamors to aspire to.
As with many such things, one can not entirely blame politicians or the elite (et al), because in a sense they are giving the people what they want, and taking advantage of people who have made it easy for them to control and take advantage of.
When I was in my 20’s and 30’s, I lived in a cheap apartment (I could live on less than $1000 a month) and saved my money. Didn’t buy my house till I was 39, and paid cash for it- while those I had grown up with had several-thousand-dollar a month mortgage payments; car payments (I drove junkers that I paid cash for). Most of those peers had either already lost a house (or two) by the time I bought mine (especially in the dot-com bubble!) or are still making payments on them till this day. I’m not holding myself up as an example, as I know people who did what I did even more so, and at much younger ages; (I’m pretty lazy, and not money-motivated) but merely to illustrate that the option is always there not to live ones life in debt-servitude, and to be able to maintain a large degree of autonomy in one’s life if just cares enough not to mindlessly follow the crowd.
I still live a very modest life, but I have what I want: FREEDOM! Like Eric, the “mandates” were not even a fleeting issue, because we chose autonomy and freedom instead of servitude. If more people would care enough to live so- even just those who identify as Libertarian or “freedom minded”, we’d have a good segment of the population that would be virtually uncontrollable.

    • “As with many such things, one can not entirely blame politicians or the elite (et al), because in a sense they are giving the people what they want, and taking advantage of people who have made it easy for them to control and take advantage of.”

      Precisely so.

It has been stated in the past, by great thinkers no less, than the governments of democratic countries are the reflection of the people who elected them.

When one looks at some of the products of ‘modern education’, it is clear to see why just about all the western countries are now governed by the worst of the worst.

How many times have we heard ‘…the government oughta do something about…[insert your favorite cause here]’?

The infantilization of society proceeds apace, in line with collectivist ideas.

  7. I can remember when Trump rallied about the weaponization of federal agencies, FEMA coming to mind.
I turned out the FEMA was purposely bypassing households who supported Trump, using that support to deny aid to flood and other disaster victims as a political weapon.
It’s come full-circle now. Trump is doing the same thing that his predecessor did, denying FEMA aid to anyone who does not support israel.
I thought Trump was smarter than that.
I want to believe that Trump is playing 5D chess, allowing the jews to marginalize anyone who doesn’t go along with israel’s genocide programs in Gaza and the West Bank, but I’m not so sure. Trump has been dealing with jews all of his life and knows what they are like..
One good thing might come out of this–the marginalization of jews in the USA. More and more people are finally recognizing what vicious, self-serving, greedy obnoxious people most USA jews are. Jews have exposed the fact that they are loyal to that “sh!tty little country”, israel and not the USA.
Hearing the cries of jews about anti-semitism (victimhood) while using their political clout to ban true free expression on campuses and elsewhere might just come back to bite jews in the @ss. Hell, if the jews had their way, the First Amendment to the Constitution would be abolished.
I am convinced that today’s jews who are protesting the genocides committed by their brethren are doing so out of self-preservation, nothing more. Some jews “see the handwriting on the wall” and realize that (((they))) might just become targets of good hardworking honest gentiles in the USA.
Today’s jews are attempting to separate judaism from zionism–something that is impossible to do. Zionism is merely the political part of judaism and is inseparable from judaism. Observe the genocidal behavior that jews are presently performing–right out of the Bible–nothing is to remain alive, men, women, boys, girls, toddlers, infants, all animals and every blade of grass. The jews are doing a real bang-up job fulfilling their bronze-age religion’s mandates. Of course, the millions of USA evangelicals who put israel and jews on a pedestal are a problem as well.
If jews were so concerned about genocide being committed by their brethren where were they two years ago when the enhanced bombings of hospitals, schools, and in general, total destruction was first (and is still) taking place?
Of course, these same tactics have been in play in occupied Palestine for close to 80 years now.
Observe the outcry of jews about their “hostages” while easily ignoring the wholesale slaughter of men, women, children, toddlers and infants–done with impunity and outright approval from jews themselves.
Violence against jews is not the answer (with the exception of self-defense–stopping the threat).
A more effective way to neutralize jewish power is to practice “shunning”. Shun them and their businesses. I realize that, in this day and age, it is not easy, but it can be done.

    • “5D chess”. Yeah, that’s one hell of a chess game! A lot of people have died and are dying- from the vaccines; from “our” military escapades and support of evil little nations (Oy vey!)……. To the best of my knowledge, Bobby Fischer never killed anyone.I don’t think Trump knows how to play.

  8. The simplest explanation is usually the best: Trump is part of the team and always has been. He is the latest shiny object to keep everyone’s attention fixated on something other than reality.

“It’s a big club and you ain’t in it” – some nasty so called comedian

  9. Before your teenage years, children would always play games and have ditties to shout out now and then. Red Rover was one, Ring around the Rosy, etc.

One was ‘open your mouth and close your eyes and I’ll give you something to make you wise’.

Sure you will. You get wise to that immediately.

Trump would fall for a snipe hunt at night, give him a flashlight and a gunnysack, leave him out in the country to walk back home.

I remember reading a story about Trump many moons ago. After being in Trump’s company for a period of time, one individual decided he wanted nothing to do with him.

I bought a bottle of vodka this week, made in the USA, didn’t cost too much, some cranberry juice, some ice, you have a refreshing beverage, vodka included.

  10. When will these idiots who think Trumpenstein is playing multi dimensional chess realize he can’t even play checkers, and if he was losing he’d tip over the board. It is early to start drinking but maybe I’ll make myself a mimosa

  11. “The truth is they’re not stupid, just deluded.” EP

The truth is they are stupid because they allow themselves to be deluded.

There . . . Fixed it for ya’

    • Roger that, BID!

Are you ready for commentary? A good friend of mine is an adherent of Devolution and just texted me the following, which I repeat verbatim for the general edification:

“Rich is an op that has been deployed. I caught onto that years ago when Big & Rich had to break their deal with ESPN’s College Gamesday. He was recruited for another mission. You just don’t get it. He’s not been fooled. He’s not been duped.”

      Italics added.

And they ask me why I drink.

      • I’m truly sorry Eric.

It is excruciating to see friends and loved ones we care about struggling with mental illness. Some people just aren’t able to cope with and process objective reality.

Sometimes you just have to accept them as they are and realize that nothing we say or do will change what they perceive as reality. Sometimes you just have to avoid them completely if they are toxic or dangerous.

        Been there done that.

    • Irony abounds Eric, and BID. Its sad the number of people I’ve met IRL who think that little computer affixed to their hand, along with the latest, greatest AI makes them a chess master level genius. Stupid and deluded. The same majority that lapped up the orange goo, like a kitten before a bowl of buttermilk, are the ones that drink daily from MSMs poisoned well. We’re going to need a deeper well.

  12. Trump care about one thing; Trump.

Do we believe he knew or cares about what happened to people?

I don’t discount that he didn’t know details because he didn’t care. I’m also sure he doesn’t live in such a bubble that he has heard nothing.

He was the better bad choice, he is not a god or savior. Even if he thought convid was the worst thing ever, he also publicly stated numbers that proved he also came to know that it wasn’t as bad as advertised. Yet he pushed forward to look like a hero.

  13. Corporate media & the Democrat Party establishment ran a similar con re Joe Biden. For years they KNEW that Biden was a demented old fool, but they tried to make everyone think he was “Fit to be President”, and if anyone said otherwise they were called CONSPIRACY THEORISTS or PURVEYORS OF RUSSIAN DISINFORMATION. Why, last year during the presidential campaign, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough even had the audacity to say that Biden was “The best Biden ever!” until that CNN debate between Biden & Trump exposed Biden’s true mental health. Corporate media laughably tried to claim they didn’t know Biden was demented, and Jake Tapper wrote a book claiming that he didn’t know either.

It’s astounding that people who constantly shriek about DEMOCRACY haven’t said a PEEP regarding yet ANOTHER UNDEMOCRATIC action taken by the Democratic Party, that is rigging primaries to benefit a candidate the establishment wants instead of who Democrat voters want. They did that for at least THREE presidential primaries in a row.

  14. Trump is probably the most visible disciple of Norman Vincent Peele. Nixon and Reagan knew Peele but Trump grew up in his church. Peele believed you could alter reality through thought with the process of belief + repetition = psychological momentum.

If you believe it, they will come.

Thing is, when you focus on the positives no matter what the downside risk you end up with really bad products and technology. He was sold a bill of goods with MRNA “vaccines.” Those MRNA treatments should never have been given vaccine status (which basically eliminates your right to sue drug companies for damages), but how else could they run this mass experiment on a global scale? It’s one thing to test fertility drugs in Uganda, they don’t have any lawyers. But running a test on white people? That’s a big deal.

So Pfizer sent their best sales team to the Oval Office to pitch how much of a hero Trump will be after he (him personally!) quashes the Chi-NA flu globally.

Oh, it didn’t work and caused myocarditis? That’s just because you didn’t believe enough!

    • The jabs were about eliminating Control in the population with regard to the MRNA tech, short-cutting decades off of the development process of a “super” flu shot (Pfizer) or an AIDS vaccine (Moderna).

Unfortunately for the stock holders of both companies, officially, about 10% of the population in the US resisted and remains as statistically significant Control for testing MRNA tech involved with any fantasy jab currently cooking in labs in Cambridge, MA.

I believe the number is actually much higher.

  15. Trump knows the truth. He just couldn’t believe that so many smart people see through the con and manage to coordinate communication despite the FedGov’s best efforts of the last 25 years.

Someone in the room was undoubtedly taking notes regarding web sites and YouTube channels.

If you don’t believe that a military caste now runs the country, look around your immediate circle for active duty members of the military with similar backgrounds and education. How many have mortgages on their homes that you could never afford, speak about their rental properties at previous postings, and discuss holding out on discharge waiting some kind of VA disability rating with an associated monthly nut.

How many members of those active duty military members have been placed in harm’s way in the last decade? Serious harm and not just the potential for injury associated with an elevated blood alcohol level in a social setting.

As for Massie being primaried, his MIT education and long association with Woodie Flowers make me believe the Congressman was a willing participant in the con until recently and wandered off the reservation for some reason. Maybe he should be retained in Congress, but I don’t think it is possible to rise to the level of dog catcher in this country without a few Kenny Boys in the background.

In retrospect, Enron seems like a minor prank compared to the “pandemic”.

    • To that end, notice how many YouTube and social medial “influencers” are ex-military turned “conservative” commentators.

  16. Irony Alert!

Why is it the people that love the jab are also some of the most severely afflicted with Trump Derangement Syndrome? And why is it so many of those that hate the jab love Orange Julius Caesar? That part I don’t get.

I guess I just don’t understand what the meaning of “is” is.

As far as Trump’s feigned ignorance. It’s a classic example of the Theory of Stupid Or Evil. It’s the theory that when cornered and one only has two reasons for their actions, Stupid or Evil, that Stupid will always be used as a defense/explanation. And, it’s always accepted by the accuser as a defense. A few examples should suffice to prove this theory:

    Pearl Harbor
    9/11

Or, just attend your local county commission meetings. You’ll see it in action any time some snafu/fubar arises. Bet on it.

    • Hi Mark.

Of course he could be stupid and evil if he thinks we will believe him now.

It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to know that foreign entanglements never work out for the benefit of the populace so why do we keep voting for politicians that push them? Perhaps because we’re not as smart as we think we are and afraid to admit it even to ourselves? I listened to a couple of people at a yard sale discussing how Russia was going to lose the war; they sounded as deluded as those who said: “My mask protects you and yours protects me” nutcases.

      • Hi Landru,

Yes, Stupid and Evil can co-exist in a person. However, the Theory of Stupid Or Evil is based on defensive strategies when confronted with the feces contacting the rotary oscillator and that they are the cause of said contact. It’s just that they never use Evil as the reason for their actions.

The idea of an Evil Mastermind is so ensconced in our social/media DNA that it’s easy to think that Stupid and Evil cannot dovetail, yet they do.

        • Most people aren’t really fundamentally evil, I don’t think. Sure we all have a little malevolence in us, but mostly it shows up in the occasional petty interpersonal squabble. Mostly people go along with evil mostly because it’s easy, they’re lazy, and they probably don’t even realize the importance of the ramifications of “going along to get along.” Only in hindsight, if ever, do they realize their mistake.

So when someone who is actually evil shows up, most people’s mental framework for understanding such a person is almost entirely missing.

C.S. Lewis reportedly found it quite difficult to write as Screwtape, and he was intellectually very much a cut above the average bear.

I am also reminded of this Jungian concept, that in order to be truly good, one must first learn how to be bad. That’s an interesting and very dangerous idea, because one can certainly imagine such an endeavor going very, very askew.

          Much more work to do.

      • Landru: “It doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to know that foreign entanglements never work out”

But I think a good brain scientist would see the fallacy immediately.😂

    • It boils down to this: most Americans today have little or no conception that human nature is inherently evil. Th wickedness of human nature is not only a recurring theme in the Bible, but it’s the constant testimony of everyday experience (including our own thoughts, words and deeds). Americans in particular are taught by government schools from an early age that we’re “basically good” and that if a person receives enough education, even the worst among us can be converted into being a good citizen. That’s why the default mechanism for most people is to assume that slimy politicians who do bad things are “just stupid” or misguided…or they at least had “good intentions” but were otherwise inept. The Principle of Parsimony teaches that the simplest answer is usually correct, viz. politicians are evil no matter how well intentioned they may be.

      • And 1Samuel8 proves your point of GovCo is inherently evil. As has been said before, If people are basically good there is no need for government. If people are basically evil we dare not have government.

Utopia is not an option but, we need not set up conditions for evil to flourish.
