President Trump – perhaps cluing in to the implications of the recent blowout elections in Virginia and New York and New Jersey – has dangled (again) the prospect of $2,000 checks for every American as their rebate – so to speak – for all the taxes he has cost them.
He does not, of course, refer to these taxes as taxes. He calls them “tariffs” – and counts on the rubes not comprehending that changing terms does not change facts. He also counts on them not understanding what “free” things cost.
One of the reasons a small bag of groceries that cost $30 before the “pandemic” now costs $60 is not because of the “pandemic” but because of the “stimulus” checks Trump showered on the people to get their minds off of what the “pandemic” cost them. He threw people who’d lost their jobs or businesses a few bills, in the manner of a guy just done with a hooker except we didn’t agree to provide such services.
What do you suppose is likely to happen when – if – Trump causes the Treasury Department’s printing presses to kick into overdrive again and sends out $2,000 checks to 320 million Americans (or even half that many)? They’d better hurry to spend it – because very shortly, that $2k may not buy what $100 buys right now. That is the effect of pumping more fake money into the system. Remember, the tax/tariff money Trump brays about is already spent on such things as “aid” to Israel and Ukraine – or committed to be spent on such things. Does anyone remember that the federal government is in debt to the tune of something like $37 trillion dollars? There is nothing to hand out except paper that’s as fake as Trump’s tan.
Trump hopes the rubes will be rejuvenated – politically – by his dangling of a $2,000 stimmy check (does anyone remember when Trump dangled a $5,000 stimmy check?) to get them to forget what his policies have cost them so far. As if $2,000 could even begin to compensate them for that. The so-called “inflation” – meaning currency devaluation – of the past five years has cost the average American probably ten thousand.
If you have been forced to spend an additional $200 each month for food (and that is probably a lowball estimate) on account of currency devaluation you have been mulcted out of $12,000 over the past five years. Do the math. And that does not factor in the inflated cost of everything else. But here’s $2,000 for your trouble – and a napkin to wipe the mess off your rear end.
Meanwhile, $150 billion for Ukraine. That is, for what is styled the U.S. “defense” industry, which is paid those billions to make the arms that are sent to Keeeeeeeeeeeeeeevvvv and also Israel, none of which serves the interests of the American tax cattle who are forced to finance it.
The tax cattle begin to resent it.
No, that’s much too bland. They hate it, incandescently.
They just expressed their incandescent and understandable rage at the ballot box and Trump seems to instinctively grasp that his bullshit show is on the ropes. It is on the ropes mainly because he has turned-about on just about every campaign promise he made to the rubes – me among them, mea culpa – who allowed their hope to cloud their judgment and voted for him because they wanted to believe he would actually end the stupid slaughter in Ukraine on “day one” by defunding it. That America – not Israel – would come first. The the Epstein operation – probably a Mossad operation – would be exposed and the cretins punished.
Instead we get an endless war in Ukraine – as if Biden were still president – and ongoing complicity in the Greater Israel project to a degree that Biden would probably not have been a party to. We are told – a fart right in our faces – that the Epstein operation was in fact a “Democrat hoax.”
We are told that Albert Bourla is a “great businessman” – rather than the criminal he is. We get RFK, Jr. touting the wonders of Ozempic while Trump brays about the government drug dispensary named after himself (TrumpRX).
And now we are promised a little check for our troubles. One that will probably never be sent and thank God for that because the results are certain to cost us a great deal more than $2,000.
How much could Americans be given back – actual money, now – if the $150 billion spent on the Ukraine war that has enriched America’s “defense” cartels while impoverishing Americans, plus the billions sent to that vicious little state that is our “greatest ally” the same way the Toothless Man in Deliverance was Ned Beatty’s best friend had not been spent on all that but instead had never been stolen from the. American people in the first place?
Never mind.
Here’s some picket change for you. Better spend it fast.

Hi Expat,
If you’d like to post something – longer than a comment – email me the text!
Thanks,
I will be posting some pictures which must be seen to be believed,
Two grand sounds good, but really it is sort of like a 300 pound man deciding to state his weight in Kilograms. Suddenly he becomes a “svelte” 136 kg.
I had a package delivered this week. The store sent it with a signature required. The item was a little over $270. I left bad feedback, which was responded with “we require a signature for anything over $250. To which I replied “you might want to consider raising that threshold considering the inflation.”
If you want to make everyone a millionaire, the easiest way is to just give everyone a million bucks. However, if the goal is to make everyone wealthy, that’s probably impossible.
The silver lining of all of this is that less than 10 years ago they used to deny the existence of the deep state. Halfway through the Biden admin, its existence became undeniable. However, there was a legitimate question of who/what comprised the deep state. Some would just say things like “TPTB” and some would say billionaires like Soros, but to my eyes it was unclear (perhaps I’m naïve). The past year has definitively answered that question though. It’s the Zionists, which use the cover of funding certain “Judeo-Christian” churches, “think tanks,” magazines (like National Review), YAF, media companies and figures, NGOs, etc. etc., to give the impression that their agenda is organic. Couple that with control of most of the moneyed-interests and Epstein (and probably Diddy)-style blackmail, and suddenly you can control the world. If it weren’t so Goddamn diabolical, it’s all-encompassing nature would be admirable.
I used to joke that we’re all living on the set of the Truman Show (movie). This is more accurate than I ever imagined though. Everything is all fake and gay Zionism.
One problem though is that many people think corruption and criminality in the U.S. government didn’t exist until Donald Trump’s first term as President. But the whole COVID nonsense and the 4 years of the Biden regime definitively proved to me that corruption & criminality has existed in the federal government for DECADES, and the 2 major political parties aren’t all that much better.
it seems that Trumps entry into politics may have helped reveal the corruption. Perhaps his time just coincides withe the emergence of internet platforms that actually caused it to be revealed though.
I remember as a kid in the late ‘60s the radio news financial reports would talk the M1 and M2 money supply figures. It mattered as to inflation, expanding the money supply beyond goods available = inflation. Even us everyday rubes could understand this.
Also in the ‘70s, ‘80s discussion of the national debt, word then “goes beyond 5 trillion your dollar is toast and it won’t come back”. Yep, nice job Feds.
Not a peep these days.
In the high inflation days of the 1970s — and with economist Milton Friedman ascendant (‘inflation is always and everywhere a monetary phenomenon’) — M1 and M2 money supply were the vital economic statistics of the week in the Jimmy Carter and early Ronald Reagan era.
Now the monthly jobs report — nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate — is the most closely watched statistic. And it’s delayed owing to the gov shutdown. But life goes on:
‘U.S. firms were shedding more than 11,000 jobs a week through late October, payroll processor ADP said on Tuesday in its latest real-time estimate of job market trends.’
https://www.reuters.com/business/us-lost-jobs-through-late-october-new-private-sector-data-shows-2025-11-11/
A year from now, the NBER (National Bureau of Economic Research) likely will identify the recession as having begun in Summer 2025.
Though the Orange Emperor will issue dire, midnight social media threats against the NBER, their determination will be electoral kryptonite for the Republiclown party in November 2026.
Voters will have but one motivation, within the sorry confines of our unconstitutional, de facto two-party system: PUNISH, PUNISH, PUNISH the ruling party who did this to us. :angry face:
Don’t think those $2000 checks will be coming out of the money Trumpenstein got from the tariffs if the Supreme Court rules that they are illegal. Of course that’s not a given but it looks that way so far. Those who brought the lawsuit against the tariffs have a lot of people behind them wanting a refund. Good luck figuring all that out.
I’m plagiarizing an article from the American Thinker (Stop Mincing Words by Micheal Hurly 11-6), but I think this captures really where we are in our society and what is at stake:
The forces of evil (Marxist-Democrats) do not fail to understand our program. The Marxist-Democrats are not casting about for a better balance of trade, more efficient government, etc. They know they’re in a war for power, and they intend to win it, which is why they fight so passionately. Abortion isn’t an issue for them. It’s a sacrament. Climate change isn’t a scientific debate. It is a religious worldview that gives their lives meaning and purpose. Politics for the left isn’t an intellectual sport to be conducted within the polite parameters of free speech. It’s an unholy crusade to be won by any means necessary, including censorship, lawfare, defamation, perjury, conspiracy, insurrection and assassination.
Trumps idea to hand out money is completet stupid and Bush tried this and made him look foolish. However, I have another idea. First, let us state the the public schools are not only indoctrination centers for the Marxist-Left but now gender-ideology brainwashing camps to harm our children. Here is my idea:
Trump to propose a federal tax *credit* for any family paying tuition to private school. Not a deduction but a *credit*. Those in poverty below the taxpayer threshold will get the money direct (or paid directly to the private school). This will be popular amongst the poor families who are desperate to get their kids out of public schools. There is no reform for public education at this point. The Marxist-Democrats want your children, and they are willing to tell them with a straight face your kids were born in the wrong bodies. That puberty blockers (chemical castration) are reversable, that top and bottom surgery will make them happy. Enough is enough. We are done. Let’s get children away from these creeps not by walking our kids out of public schools but by running as fast as we can.
That might be motivation enough to get to the ballot box in 2026.
The fact that you are just ranting about “Marxist-Democrats” and not realizing that the Repukes are as much a part of the problem as the Demonrats shows me that you still are not getting it. The whole “trans” push during the previous 4 years was not done out of a sincere belief in “trans” by TPTB but to cause the other side to go running to authoritarianism from the “right” as a solution. They will play this card again in 2026 to get people like you to pull the lever for the Red Team so the MIC can enrich itself even further, Israel will get even more money and the Orange Turd’s cronies will get even more handouts and insider trading, and you will get nothing but word salad pretending to care about “social” issues.
“That might be motivation enough to get to the ballot box in 2026” – JUST SAY NO.
Bravo, MetalQueen!
Exactly. I have come to the conclusion that the entirety of Joe Biden’s presidency was to set the stage for Trump – and for Trump in his turn to collapse the economy so that “capitalism” can be blamed and an authoritarian socialist/communist “solution” brought forth come 2028.
2028? I admire your optimism Eric.
One year from today marks the next fresh hell in our descent toward Bolshevik madness. Maybe give or take a week, as I’m sure the ballots will need weeks, if not longer to all be counted. We must leave no envelope unopened in order to ensure ‘muhdumbocracies’ victory.
I endorse Norman’s comment. Prepare to welcome House speaker Hakeem Jeffries. It’s gonna be a bumpy ride, especially for Orange Man when House committees under Democrat chairs begin issuing subpoenas to Trump and his cabinet. Are we not entertained??
Metalqueen, I do think there is a distinction between the Marxist-Democrats and the much-flawed so-called republicans with their RINO’s and their betrayals and false/weak promises they offer.
Here is what is at stake (paraphrased from Mr. Hurly):
There might have been a day when the spiritual battle lines in the West were difficult to discern, but no more. Allow me to focus your attention. We live in an age when every leading state and national candidate of the Democrat party, including every former Democrat president, openly supports the genital mutilation of healthy children and the obvious lie that a child can change genders. That, my friends, is the tell. Leave everything else aside if you must, because when a murderer is coming for your children, you do not pause to inquire whether he might also lower your electric bill. You sound the alarm and oppose him with every fiber of your being. When we hear this, we should think of the millstone and shudder.
The Marxist-Democrats and their fellow travelers are fighting for their faith, while we (whether it be R’s or libertarians) are fighting for policy prescriptions. The Marxist-Democrats know they’re in a spiritual war. We still think we’re in a civics debate. It’s high time we wake up, tell the public the truth about what’s at stake, and summon them to cast their vote in the fight for a noble cause—not for lower taxes or higher wages, but for our very survival as a nation.
Unfortunately, Hans, it was Nit Romney who said he’d been for gays in the boy scouts since 1994 (in 2012–the year I became an independent). You say you care about abortion and sodomy, but you keep encouraging people to vote Republican. Republicans no longer are anti abortion (Trump insisted it be taken out of the platform in 2024) or anti sodomy (Male Sec of Treasury is married to a man and has two children with him; trump was waving a rainbow flag in 2016) so now you move on to “trans.” It used to be abortion. Then it was gay marriage. Now it is “trans” children and calling democrats “marxists”–even as Trump, the republican, normalizes pedophilia (and trashes the constitution)!

See folks,
It’s “Bitchin Kool, Spot on” comments like this that force an old fart to just comment with travel story stuff..Kick Ass MQ….you hit a Grand Slam!
The deficit and the debt have both gone asymptotic, it doesn’t matter who sits in the Oval Office. The feral reserve note was always a temporary thing, all paper currency goes to zero value.
Tell ya what, print me a $39T shimmy check, and I’ll pay it off.
Meanwhile, get yourself a stock of gold, silver, liquor, and wine, kick back and watch the show. We can’t fix it. They can’t fix it. It can’t be fixed.
The devils/banker’s debt s#!t show is coming to an end, and digital currencies will not work. Any more than building themselves a false god with AI is going to get them out of their own trap. Look to yourselves and your tribe.
The stimmy should be a one ounce, trillion dollar face value platinum coin, issued to every American taxpayer. Debt and deficit problem solved. Cost, approximately 1600$ per taxpayer as opposed to the 2000$ Trumps proposed. They would need a waiting list, and IOUs as there’s not enough deliverable platinum to get very far.
There’s plenty of gold in Fort Knox, just ask ‘em or look at the most recent audit. Make them gold 1 ounce eagles with a face value of 15 billion and you’re on to something.
‘We can’t fix it. They can’t fix it. It can’t be fixed.’ — Ernie
This is not a theory or a proposition. It is a simple, verifiable mathematical certainty.
Only the rate of advance to the singularity can be slightly modulated, depending on which gang of thieves is in charge.
We used to say that Democrats would propel us to ruin faster. But now, the R-party is galloping into the lead as the ‘Finished’ line approaches. Orange Man Bad for the win! /sarc
Precisely, so why worry about it. Plan accordingly, provision your ark with everything you can and when the rains come, pull that ramp up and listen to the frantic demands from the outside, until they fade out.
The pundits are saying Trump is unlikely to get approval for the $2,000 stimulus, but the fact that Big Media even published this story is a not-so-subtle hint the ruling class is still committed to the inflation agenda. European Commission president Ursula von der Leven, in her latest state of the union address, called this agenda “THE global crisis” (emphasis mine). That tells us the ongoing cost of living scam is their number-one priority.
Never mind a puny $20 billion wasted on white elephant baaaaaattery plants. Now the Orange Oaf is spending hundreds of billions on nuclear power plants to serve AI data centers:
‘President Trump signed an executive order in May that called for the US to break ground on 10 large nuclear reactors by 2030. Energy Secretary Wright said he expects electricity demand from AI to attract billions of dollars in equity capital to build new nuclear capacity from “very creditworthy providers.” The Energy Department could match those private dollars by as much as four to one with low cost debt financing from the loan office, he said.
“When we leave office three years and three months from now, I want to see hopefully dozens of nuclear plants under construction,” Wright said.
‘The Trump administration tipped its cards last month when it struck a deal with the owners of Westinghouse to invest $80 billion to build nuclear plants across the US. Westinghouse is owned by uranium miner Cameco and Brookfield Asset Management (both Canadian companies).’
https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/trump-admin-lend-hundreds-billions-build-nuclear-power-plants
State industry, comrades: it’s corrupt to the core. But the Tech Lords are sitting pretty, as they build out the AI panopticon. Soon an FBI agent will be able to ask AI, ‘Tell me what you know about John Doe,’ and find out in seconds (courtesy of Palantir) everything from who lives in your household, to what prescriptions you’re on, to the rant you just posted on some gearhead site (!). What do you have to hide, citizen?
At this point I am up for reviving the “No Nukes” movement, not because I am opposed to nuclear power in principle (I’m not) but I am very much opposed to the “Public-Private Partnerships” the Orange Turd wants to use to revive it (and enrich his cronies) but I ESPECIALLY oppose the construction of nukes to enable the AI Data Center Big Brother Control Grid.
JUST SAY NO.
Part of the malaise (Jimmy Carter’s term) of the 1970s resulted from electric utilities getting bogged down in nuclear projects that took years longer than expected, when interest rates had unexpectedly popped to double digits.
The Orange One is setting us up for Round Two of Seventies malaise, but at a hundred times the scale, and with taxpayers on the hook as lenders to the AI Tech Lords. They get all the benefits. We get stuck with the tab. 🙁
And in Round 2 of 70s malaise, the result will be Democratic Socialists being elected.
It appears that OpenAI may ask the federal government to backstop its AI debt. Is it just me, or does it sound like we may have another instance of “Too Big to Fail” (when the federal government bailed out large banks in 2008-09) if OpenAI gets its wish?
One of the things that concern me with the 2nd Trump administration is the push for technocracy appears to be continuing under him. Curious that more people who voted for Trump aren’t speaking out, though they likely would be if we had a President Kamala Harris instead and Big Tech types were implementing Technocracy under her……
https://www.technocracy.news/is-this-you-i-voted-for-trump-i-feel-completely-swindled/
Anything that a politician gives you for free is more expensive than you can possibly imagine.
The whole thing looks like a deliberate attempt to collapse the Dollar and usher in a digital currency. I also question how any institution had the trillions & trillions on hand to lend out to Emerald City (D.C.) to spend all over the Land of Oz? But it seems to me that a Privileged Cabal holding office and appointed to plum positions have enriched themselves beyond reason for nothing more than showing up. Another question that I have is what collateral does the Fed have other than “Faith in the United States”? Are all the natural resources we have here are going to be seized by the Federal Reserve private banks? Are we the people the collateral? The whole scheme needs a lot of answers that no one is providing!
You should have stopped after your first sentence. But yep, Trump’s proposal does beg the digital currency question.
‘Trump seems to instinctively grasp that his bullshit show is on the ropes.’ — eric
Indeed. Even his 666 remaining fans aren’t buying Trumpy Bears no more. My California-exile neighbors, who had their entire house and yard so laden with Trump banners that it looked like a campaign headquarters, have switched over to large illuminated Christmas decorations (on November 9). The Orange One is nowhere to be seen.
Comically, Big Gov actually has a website called pandemicoversight.gov (who knew?). It pegs the cost of three rounds of stimmy checks totaling $3,200 per taxpayer at $814 billion:
https://tinyurl.com/4amuj4w9
So fresh $2,000 checks would cost about a round half-trillion — boosting the current federal deficit of $1.8 trillion to $2.3 trillion. Meanwhile, current tariff revenue is estimated at $350 billion annually, so it doesn’t even cover the full cost.
Lesson: Repugniclowns are such congenital wastrels, they make Lyndon Johnson look like a penny-pinching miser. Ask David Stockman. He actually worked as budget director for an R-party president (the Gippahhh) and learned a bitter truth: the socialist R-party will NEVER produce a balanced budget again, until the mountains crumble into the sea.
Party of Lincoln: UNFIT FOR PURPOSE. Incinerate safely.
The “stimulus” is inflationary, so it exacerbates the problem.
BTW… the debt is now over $38 trillion, not $37 trillion. I know, I know… who cares about a measly trillion here or there? But to put that in perspective, the debt was $5 trillion in 2001 when Clinton left office, $10 trillion in 2009 when Bush left office, and a mere $20 trillion in 2017 when Obama left office…
https://www.usdebtclock.org/
If all 258 million adults in America trundled a wheelbarrow full of hundred-dollah bills to the Treasury, would it pay off $38 trillion in debt?
Haven’t actually done the maff, but it would be a close call. Meanwhile the Magic Money Tree crazies have mercifully gone quiet about their goofball trillion dollar coin. When the situation turns as grim as ours, some turn to confabulating a deus ex machina to intervene.
Somebody should test the Orange Emperor’s reaction to kryptonite. :-0
Screw the wheelbarrows. If one hundred million, (said in Dr, Evil voice) Americans bought two silver dollars each from the LCS or E-bay today, it would wipe out all available above ground vaulted silver. China would then set the price for Silver, destroying the New York and London exchanges ability to deliver.
No confidence! it the only vote that matters. Was expecting a correction into the 30s which probably won’t happen now. The Rs caving on the CR is reason number (fill in the blank) why our dollar aint shit.
– $1.8 trillion (2025 deficit)
+ $150 billion (est) from new tariffs
– $307 billion tariff checks
= -$ 1.957 trillion
this would actually add to the deficit and debt, and exceeds the amount in payouts than were collected from the additional tariffs, so why would Trump propose this?
Maybe he doesn’t understand the numbers and was just spouting.
Maybe it is his attempt to convince us that his tariffs are the bigliest, most beautiful things ever. Then we would appreciate his 12D chess.
I’m going to make a payment on my 15 year car loan with my stimmy!
Maybe it will cover it.
