Today is Thanksgiving and I wanted to take a minute to do just that. Thank everyone who comes here and helps me keep this joint open for business! This includes the many reading this – and other things here – who prefer not to post comments but just read and listen. That’s fine, too! The thing that matters to me is that we have got this place to hang out that’s not yet been corralled by the Thought Police or bought out by corporate cash. It never will be, either – because I won’t have it. And I don’t think most of you would, either.
At any rate, just a quick early morning Thank You note to everyone and that I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I am honored to count many of you among my circle!

Thanksgiving is a uniquely American holiday and one of my favorites. I am thankful for Eric’s site where I’ve had great discussions over the years in the comment section and where Eric has proven what a talented wordsmith he is. Folks, this holiday represents what has been great about this country/culture in the past and what hopefully will reappear in the future. Let us make it so….free speech, free thought and free spirits….

Sorry to hear that your mother had passed a year ago, Eric, and for not picking that up when it happened. Belated condolences, as mine own mother passed when I was 35, I still remember it though it happened 30 years ago.
