It appears the guy who murdered Charlie Kirk was an Outdoor Masker. It is possible his metastasis from (so it seemed) normal teenager to mentally ill Leftist occurred over the past five years – i.e., during the era of and fallout from “the pandemic.”
The apparent shooter is said to be 22-year-old Tyler Robinson. That means he would have been about 17 when “the pandemic” was declared – which it had to be because otherwise no one would have known there was one. That is why it was necessary to make it look as though there was one by heavily pressuring people to wear masks and also to publicly shame those who did not believe – say it with a TV evangelist twang – there was one. They could be quickly identified, ridiculed and marginalized because they would not wear the mask.
Tyler Robinson wore the mask – outdoors, apparently. This is evidence of him not being quite right in the head because wearing a mask outdoors was generally not required – which means those who did wear them outside had freely chosen to and – worse –believed. Theirs was not the desultory theater of the go-along crowd. They had faith – militant faith – in their masks.
The kind of faith that hates those who lack it. See the Inquisition. See the Salem Witch Trials. See “the pandemic.”
Over the course of just five years – it feels sometimes as if it has been this way forever – much of the country went crazy. More finely, millions of Americans were driven functionally insane by an organized and choreographed event – “the pandemic” – that turned them into Sickness Psychotics. The much more dangerous iteration of the hypochondria that afflicts some people.
A hypochondriac, in the first place, generally knows he has an irrational and morbid dread of germs and getting sick. He is generally aware that his aversion to being around other people, the obsessive hand-washing and so on are not normal.
That he is sick (in the head).
What happened during “the pandemic” was that neurotic behavior and thinking was normalized. This caused mental illness to spread like it never had before in this country. It is now a bleakly permanent part of the scene in this country. (Just yesterday, I counted six mask wearers while out shopping; this is a big uptick from the usual 1-3 I typically encountered so far this year when out shopping.)
Tyler Robinson and other people his age grew up during “the pandemic.” His late teen/early young adult years were surely twisted in ways we have yet to fully appreciate from the perspective of being adults when “the pandemic” began. These young people were particularly vulnerable to the weaponization of hypochondria. The best years of their young adulthood were thoroughly ruined and along with that, many of their minds. Instead of fun and that feeling of being so close to freedom as an almost-adult, these kids were locked down and masked up and then most of them were injected with drugs they had effectively no choice but to take. 
Then came the National Drag Queen Story Time show – which very interestingly metastasized in tandem with the etiolation of weaponized hypochondria. But this ought not to be surprising. When mental illness is normalized you get more mental illness. Throw in some Black Lives Matter and the spectacle of half the country pretending the old man who kept falling down and couldn’t get up was Just Fine! Never Better! and you get to where we’re at.
This is no way justifies what Robinson did but it may help us to understand it.
The country didn’t go crazy for no reason. And there are still a lot of crazy people out there. You can tell who they are just by looking at them.

He did appear to have a backpack but how could he have disassembled the Mauser rifle we’re told he used in seconds, under frantic pressure to split the scene? Homes were very inexpensive in St George / Washington UT not very long ago. They’ve literally tripled in price in recent years due to all the people coming here trying to escape blue states.
The idea that cops aren’t paid well is a myth. A 600K house is a “starter home” for them.
The author should at least check where the kid grew up during that time period. St George / Washington Utah had the least masking / precautions of about anywhere in the country. Literally. Sounds like Paul has an axe to grind. I did a simple ChatGPT search and found that, according to available data, masking was “inconsistent” in the St. George/Washington, Utah area in 2020. Yes, there was apparently some heavy resistance to it, but there is no way to determine exactly what percentage of the population did or didn’t mask. And what a silly thing to demand of Eric, asking him to “do research” on local mask usage before making his (obviously valid) point that the alleged shooter was, in fact, an outdoor masker.
I don’t believe the kid took a 200 yard shot, with no hunting skills. What was the first thing that happened after? The Jews screamed “it wasn’t us.” That’s about all I need to know.

In my talks with these kind of people I have noticed a trend. They are mentally weak. Tend to have very strong opinions but don’t know or have any understanding of facts.
They seem to think they are good because their beliefs are good, which is just an opinion. How do they know their beliefs are good? Because.
They will opine on gun control, but don’t understand how a guns works or even what a caliber is.
They have opinions on Kirk, but have never heard him speak.
They believe in masks but have not read the study from May 2020 on NIH website that shows they are worthless. Yet they think they are smart and following science.
What they are following is what they are told. They have no critical thinking, so they squeal instead of talk. They don’t really know why they believe what they do.
I find the same characteristic in devout church goers. They have never studied or read the bible, but will tell you what it says. They are declaring what they think the dogma is.
The maskers are the same. It is part of their religion and this guy decided Kirk was a heretic. He doesn’t know why.
Excellent post, Dan. You are absolutely right…these people are mentally weak. They are followers, sheeple to be exact. They have such low (or no) esteem. Their first instinct is to see what everyone us is doing and toe that line. I respect their sanctuary of life because they are human beings, but I have zero respect for their viewpoints, thoughts, and desires. Why? Because they have none. They are cowards.

No. But masking certainly fostered (and normalized) mental illness. The effect was probably fiercest on people his age and younger, because they were under the most pressure (parental and external) to “mask up.” If they went to school, they had to. Most kids can’t say NO to school.
Kids can’t, but parents can. There comes a point in time where the safety and sanity of our children must be forefront. One’s parental convenience means crap. We are our children’s advocate…freaking act like it.
The shooting might be an actual turning point for the mainstream narrative. We’re starting to see reports of employees fired for celebrating and posting their gleeful messages online.

I’m certain there will be lawsuits, most of which will be thrown out because employees usually are covered by a binding arbitration agreement, and are working for a company “at will” which means they can be let go at any time for any reason.
Not only that, but a lot of people are taking on the attitude of what’s good for the goose is good for the gander. And they remember this 2021 message from Maxine Waters: “They’re not going to be able to go to a restaurant, they’re not going to be able to stop at a gas station, they’re not going to be able to shop at a department store.” Of course not having income might deter someone from engaging in any of those activities too, but we all know that somehow they will land on their feet, or at least live off the public dole.

We all have the right to freedom of speech, but we do not have the freedom from the consequences of it. I am very aware by posting my thoughts here that my clients could very well put two and two together and choose not to do business with me, because my thinking may not align with their own. I accept that risk.
If I had a client call me and celebrate Kirk’s murder I would stop doing business with them, not because I am a follower of Kirk’s, but because no tragedy should ever be reveled.
Those that celebrate a horrific killing that occurred in front of his wife and children should reap what they sow.
