No Peace Prize?

2394

It was just over a year ago that many – most – of the people who support Trump thought “Joe Biden” was manifesting symptoms of dementia and ought to step down. His own party thought so, too. It is why they (effectively) forced him to step aside for Kamala Harris, who ended up losing to Trump.

Well, what now?

Trump is manifesting similar signs. He just said he will no longer “think purely of peace,” with regard to Greenland (and probably also Iran) because he has not been awarded the Peace Prize.

The full text of Trump’s rant – delivered to the prime minister of Norway, is worth publishing in full:

Dear Jonas: Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize for having stopped 8 Wars PLUS, I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America. Denmark cannot protect that land from Russia or China, and why do they have a “right of ownership” anyway? There are no written documents, it’s only that a boat landed there hundreds of years ago, but we had boats landing there, also. I have done more for NATO than any other person since its founding, and now, NATO should do something for the United States. The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland. Thank you! President DJT

This is pathological. Or it is senile. Does it really matter which? The president of the United States is angry because he hasn’t been awarded a prize he covets and now he plans to take that anger out – on some other country.

On us, at the end of the day.

Again, this is not rational behavior. He is openly saying that he is motivated by personal pique. Not even The Chimp displayed such childish petulance – and when The Chimp makes you look bad, it’s really bad.

It may get worse. It probably will get worse. This tends to happen when you are dealing with a mentally unstable, vindictive narcissist who regard anything less than dog-like adoration as “treason” (viz, Marjorie Taylor Green, Thomas Massie).

Which brings us to the Hut! Hut! Hutting! that is being normalized by Trump. There are people who believe that a police state will not be used to police them. This is worse than childish because implicit in it is the being ok with a police state so long as it is turned loose on those one does not like. Implicit in that is losing any grounds for complaint when the police state is turned around and turned loose on those who cheered it when it was turned on those who “deserved” it.

Trump seems to be deliberately goading pretty much everyone – except his doggy-devoted followers (of which there are fewer the longer this. goes on). It is damned difficult for a principled person – a reasonable person – to stick with “MAGA” when it has morphed into something like the political iteration of Frankenstein’s monster.

Perhaps Golem is better.

Trump obsequiously fawns over Miriam Adelson; laps up the praise of Mark Levin, who lauded him as “America’s first Jewish President.” About 2.4 percent of the U.S. population is Jewish, so this is a very odd thing for a putatively populist president to be. JFK was regarded with wariness by some because he happened to Catholic – but JFK never fawned obsequiously over the Pope.

The president’s obsession with Greenland is bizarre, to say the least It is a mostly empty – because mostly ice-covered – lump of land that has been sitting where it is for a very long time and has caused the United States no problems during that time. It is not  a “rogue state” that has – or is trying to get – nuclear weapons (like the state of Israel, for instance). It has resources, certainly – but these no more belong to the United States than the Peace Prize belongs to Trump. It’s not ours to just take. Just as the Peace Prize is awarded – not seized, in the manner of a child grabbing another child’s toy.

How to handle this child?

Hunter Thompson once said something about how once you buy the ticket, you’re gonna take the ride.

It may be the wildest one ever.

  1. I don’t believe Trump is demented; I don’t believe that he writes these tweets. This is scripted, and what with commander in chief’s trolling it’s easy for emotions to get involved. When your emotions are brought into play you are being played. What is the play? A national backlash against Trump’s brand, and any remotest association with the slightest idea of making America great. It is going to be Virginia’s burgeoning gun confiscation on a national scale. Those ICE goons are not temporary hires.

  2. Eric’s TDS grows stronger by the day.

Keep insulting and degrading conservatives. Might as well get a septum piercing and some blue hair Virginny boy.

Mind you, I did not take a stance on the article. I only felt insulted. And I am no Trumpenstein follower.

It just seems like you are the blue haired person with a bull horn right now in my sphere. That’s all. Smoke some weed, then get back to us. If you cannot smoke weed, pack up and move, your state is horrible. Please contribute to the loss of congress critters in a shitty state. That is what I did.

    • Really, J?

So you think it’s a symptom of TDS to point out that Trump literally said he was “thinking less of peace” because he hasn’t been awarded a Peace Prize? Because I point out his egregiously slavish devotion to Israel? Because I ask what about the Epstein Stuff, now conveniently off the radar? Because I point out that we were told no new wars and seem to be getting into new ones every day? Because I point out the DOGE has disappeared and whatever happened to those $5,000 rebate checks we wre supposed to get? Because Fauci – and the rest of them – are free? Because I point out that Trump practically gave head to Albert Bourla – the creep that runs Pfizer?

It is Trump himself that is insulting and degrading conservatives who make excuses for him no matter what he does. I’ve been trying to tell them. I did the same 20 years ago, when conservatives got mad at me because I called Bush The Chimp and pointed out that his reckless, tyrannical policies such as “Homeland Security” and the “Patriot” Act were going to backfire on conservatives.

      Ah well.

      • There is a certain symmetry to the protection of Trump’s actions by his supporters and the same actions by Biden’s supporters when he was obviously demented. Do we expect assertions that Trump is sharp as a tack next?

      • Eric, your factual statements about Trump’s behavior of late has no effect on the low functioning retards of the right, same as the left. Those among us with “thought patterns” of the J’s of the world cannot ever comprehend such arguments that progress beyond tribal dynamics.

The sad reality is… libertarian thinkers are a tiny minority in this world. We are outnumbered by midwits such as J. All we can do is stand on principles and defend ourselves from the imbecilic hordes when they come for us.

        • Little l liberarians. Yup. You just pissed on one. Thought I was wearing a MAGA hat didn’t you?

I would be pissed with ya, but I am not. Just recognize. Books are not what their covers appear to be.

Conservatives snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, libertarians are just uber liberal white bitches to each other. Lesbians have a have a hard time starting in the bedroom, yet they are more successful in their endeavors than libertarians.

      • My response is in friendly jest.

Your hair is getting blue-er because you cannot take a step back and take a breath. Thus, my smoke some weed comment.

Trump says all kinds of crap. The crazier what he says, the more reaction it gets. It is a tactic. Watch the hands, not the mouth. Sure, the hands have done debateable things and that is righteous debate. Have I called you out like a retarded parrot that can only repeat the talking points on conservative talk radio heard earlier in their day? I am pretty sure I have not. When I say you are the blue hair part of my sphere, I also have a ‘Murica side of my sphere and that I enjoy but I find “politics du jour” very distasteful, which is quite common these days no matter their political stripe. Seems everyone falls for it these days. But Gen X are supposed to be critical thinkers. You are slightly older than me so I hold you to a higher standard, like “an older brother” standard, nothing too great, but a higher level since you are an “influencer” none-the-less.

You are blue haired because the media (that includes you), is insanely hostile to this administration to the point that a casual observer knows that there is no objectivity anymore. When I hear nothing but negative, over and over and over, I start to tune those people out. Why? Because misery loves company. I do not want to be miserable.

What I find interesting is that today, maybe tomorrow by the time you read this, Hillary Clinton is one step closer to being “locked up”.

Hmm, thought that was forgotten water under the bridge. Is Trump gonna lock her up like the tyrant he is supposed to be? Nope, but he certainly set a stage did he not with the Epstein file release? Happenstance or 4D chess? Flip the coin, I do not know either.

        • Hi J,

I am not “insanley hostile” – at least, I wasn’t until Trump began to betray his populist/nationalist promises. Then I did indeed become hostile. I am not a Zionist, so I do not put the state of Israel first. Trump seems to be doing just that. I expected creeps such as Fauci to be held accountable. They have not been. I want to know just how deep the Esptein rabbit hole goes – and whether Mossad is involved. Now it’s a “Democrat Hoax.” I am not a fan of soldiers on the streets Hut! Hut! Hutting people. I do not like REAL ID or Palantir or digital “money.”

If I’m off my rocker, I’d appreciate your explaining how.

I’m not the enemy of anyone who isn’t the enemy of what America is supposed to be.

            • Hi J,

Go back to 2024 – and just after the election. I wrote many articles approving of what Trump said he would do. I’m “hostile” now because Trump has abandoned much of his America First agenda. Unless you consider Israel First to be America First.

Here’s an article from Feb: https://www.ericpetersautos.com/2025/02/13/trump-2028/

              And another, from March: https://www.ericpetersautos.com/2025/03/14/trump-loves-pollution/

              And from 2023: https://www.ericpetersautos.com/2023/08/21/illegalizing-trump/

Mind: It is not my mission to approve of any politician. It is my job to approve of positive developments and to point out bad ones.

              • What Trump said he would do? Jesus Christ. Do I have to repeat myself?

                “Trump said”

I have oceanfront property in Arizona for sale at a really good price right now.

                • J,

It is not my job to cheerlead for Trump. This isn’t a “conservative” site – and I am not a “conservative.” Whatever that means.

The way I see it, Trump has done very little that merits approbation since about the first 2-3 months of 2025. I have serially pointed out his failures to deliver on substance – as opposed to talk. He talked about an America First policy; he has been Israel First for the past year, almost. He wasn’t Israel First when campaigning. He has not held anyone involved in the “COVID” tyranny responsible. He has lauded Bourla. Despicable. He told us – via his aging tart Pam Bondi – that the Epstein files would be released. Now they’re a “hoax.” He said he’d end the Ukraine war on “day one.” How many days ago was that?

Whatever happened to DOGE? And the $5k rebate checks we were told we’d get?

He has pushed for REAL ID and snuggled up to Tech Bros such as Altman and Fink. How is that America First? How is normalizing the sight of heavily armed/masked goons on America’s streets not a sign of a burgeoning police state? Do you like the idea of America attacking Iran? Why? How is that in the interests of America?

He said Massie and MTG are “traitors.” Why? Because they did not slavishly support his every action? Massie and MTG are far more America First than Trump is.

                • Hi J,

                  Yeah. I’m Don Lemon.

It’s tiresome – and it’s sad. You remind me of “conservatives” I knew back during the Bush years, who accused me of being a “liberal” because I opposed the Warrrr nnn Trrrrr.

                  It’s early, but I need a drink.

                    • Roger that, J –

I’m not one of those people who thinks anyone who disagrees with me on a few things is my enemy (pre Ronald RRRReagan). It’s foolish to regard those who are basically in agreement on most things as apostates or worse.

          • Total democrat hoax, but I’m not going to argue with someone who cites CNN. You’ve taken the bait and want it to be true, and side with OOOhhhh look he did pagent shows he’s bad! Nothing burger after nothingburger if it supports your confirmation bias. Go to Infowars.com to learn the truth! Doubt they’d have you on though, because Alex is fed up with “so called libertarians who do nothing but shit on Trump for clicks”.

Here’s a thought, implement IP country of origin script. A little flag to see what country your so called friends here are posting from. They say 52% of online encounters are bots, and let me tell you they are not trying to red pill you. They’re steering you towards being a S-lib.

Yes the people recording ICE and doxxing them are freaking terrorists, and the citizen journalists are embedding themselves with them to get the footage that matters. IF they wore a PRESS jacket they’d get a damn brick thrown at them by your citizens who don’t like ————-troops on the streets——————– scratch that (federal authorities enforcing the constitution i.e. immigration. PS you don’t need a warrant if it’s a COURT ORDER most of the time, and when they do, ICE is getting warrants too just to shut that narrative down.

People like you got Spanberger elected, because you love to hate Trump. Pick a side doesn’t translate into libertarian well. Neutral usually translates to left of center.

    • You are an absolute child and the embodiment of everything that is wrong with “conservatives” these days. Your rant perfectly illustrates how the Orange Douchebag was able to dupe MAGA supporters into thinking he was on their “side” while in fact he does not give a shit about anyone except Israel and his billionaire buddies. But you are obviously a brainwashed moron incapable of seeing things other than through idiotic team sport politics. It’s a UNIPARTY and they are sharing drinks (among other things) together and laughing at you for buying their BS.

BTW most people cannot just get up and leave where they live just because their state government sucks. The state governments of many “red” states suck as well, just for different reasons.

      Grow the hell up.

    • ‘Keep insulting and degrading conservatives’ — J

‘Conservatives,’ you say? WHERE? All I see are RINOs, military Keynesians, deficit spenders, ‘unitary executive’ moon howlers.

Anyone still playing the nursery school patty-cake game of ‘Ds vs Rs’ is hopelessly out of it … or else four years old.

You don’t need no PhD in Comparative Literature to see that Trump is a tragic figure. I can’t picture him surviving the year. He is chimping out on us as we speak, his brain turned to seething oatmeal mush.

      Insanity’s horse
      Adorns the sky
He can’t seem to find the right lie

      — The Doors, I Can’t See Your Face in my Mind

      • You try to argue with me in your 2nd paragraph but completely illustrate my point in your 3rd paragraph.

        The irony is amazing.

The folks saying I am a Trump simp are actually Peters simps. “Don’t be sayining nothing negative about Eric, you Nazi, white supremacist, colonizer!

        • Hi J,

You and others are welcome to criticize me. I’m not a little boy. We just disagree about Trump. I hope we can disagree on the facts and not make it a personal poo-flinging contest!

    • That sounds more like me than it does Eric.

Since when is blue hair and a septum ring a bad thing, anyway?

You don’t have to like it. It’s not your hair & it’s not your nose.

      • Do you know why swine and bulls have septum piercings?

You should probably look into this subject yourself and see why it is demeaning and those that do it willingly to themselves deserve derision.

        • Why yes, yes I do. My dad explained that to me when I was introduced to a team of oxen at the age of about 6.

Do you know why I got it?

Because some idiot told me not to because it was for bad people, and my ODD kicked in.

As it turns out, I’m quite happy with it and I’m pretty sure it did not turn me into a bad person.

Also, funnily enough, no one has yet attempted to tie a string around it. I wouldn’t recommend that anyone try it, either, because my nose will most likely not be the only one that’s sore after an interaction like that.

          • I really want to tie my dog’s flexi leash to your nose but I know that is over the line. I am a tolerant person despite being described as otherwise. You are a beta male.

Do you lnow how good it feels to have a pair of balls. I do not think you do.

            • I know how good a lot of things feel. Dopamine hits come from wherever you find them, whether there’s testosterone in the system or not.

And I was a GDI in college, so no Greek letters. I’m more of a lone wolf.

              • Me too. You have no idea. Logical fallacy of appealing to authority. You went to college. Woohoo! So did I.

Crap ton of brownie points for no greek letters though!

  3. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/other/ar-AA1UxA2e

MSN – “Opinion: Now is the time to admit it, America: He’s a dangerous, lunatic moron”

‘He is not playing 3-D chess.

He is not a master of the art of the deal. He is not a business genius. He is not a political savant.

He is not a peacemaker. He does not believe in “America first” or even know what it means. And he has no intention of making America “great again.”

No matter who you are, no matter how close you are to him, he does not represent you or even care about your interests.

No. He’s none of the good or great things the slavering fluffers in his Cabinet or on his White House staff make him out to be. And none of the defenses his enablers on Capitol Hill and in the press and across the country have used in the past work any longer.

He is just a dangerous lunatic moron who has become the most powerful man in the world.”

    —————-

My kind of rhetoric is finally catching on with main stream apologetic media. Not even the biggest MSM liars can still spin Trump’s insane behavior. Time to impeach (to say the least).

i feel very strongly that Trump should be arrested for numerous reasons, primarily for not arresting Netanyahu and endorsing Israel’s genocide. We simply can not have our President endorsing mass murder, even if Jews do it.

But what no one dares say is the obvious – Trump is acting as an agent of a foreign state, and that is treason. Bombing Iran for another country is no excuse, Trump’s job is to act in our interest, not Israel’s.

And no one dares say another not so obvious thing, anyone who acts in the interest of Jews must be crazy because Jews are completely crazy on every level, especially their religious beliefs and what they plan on doing to the rest of humanity. And if you are a good observer, note how another completely batshit crazy group endorses Israel – the Evangelical Christians who believe in the Rapture and God coming again. They literally want to blow up the world to FORCE god to return and prove their Bible text is true. But it isn’t true, they are just f-cking nuts.

    • Letter to my Congress Critter, the notorious Ken Calvert, a.k.a. Jabba the Hutt:

      29 October 2025

      Mr. Calvert:

I recently had occasion to note that the entrance to your office in the Corona Civic Center displays prominently the flag of the Jewish State of Israel, but not that of the United States of America.

To the best of my knowledge, you were elected to U.S. Congress to represent the interests of the people of the United States of America, not those of citizens of the Jewish State of Israel.

Yet, you have chosen to openly, and quite publicly, display the flag of a foreign country but NOT that of the country whose citizens you were elected to represent. You have thereby, at least in my opinion, demonstrated that your true loyalty is to a foreign country.

That used to be called treason.

With total disapproval of your traitorous actions and behavior,

      • @ Adi Heidler – outstanding, and I am sure the ADl will now make an entry with your name on it.

Jews require your worship and devotion, how dare you not slavishly whore yourself to Israel!

  4. Trump’s “Board of Peace” is heinous criminal land theft and the final ethnic cleansing of Gaza so criminal billionaires like Kushner and Trump can build resort hotels on the blood soaked land of another nation.

Basically Trump + Kushner are using the US military and taxpayer funds to do the site prep of their new real estate investment. Free beach front property, and free bulldozing of the previous tenants.

Anyone who joins is culpable to war crimes. All these fake Khazar Jews need to get the f-ck out of Palestine and leave those people alone. The world courts need to sue the fake Jews for reparations.

What Trump is trying to do is really bizarre and doomed to failure, because for one thing the Zionist Jews of Israel want it all for themselves. Why would Israel allow Trump and Kushner to steal their ill gotten gains?

    ————–

Google Ai asked about Trump’s plan:

As of January 2026, President Donald Trump’s “Board of Peace” has faced intense criticism and accusations of being “criminal” or illegitimate from various international leaders, legal experts, and advocacy groups. This criticism stems primarily from the controversial figures invited to lead it and the nature of its operational charter.

Key Controversies Surrounding the Board of Peace
Involvement of “War Criminals”: Critics have highlighted that several world leaders invited to join the board, including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, currently have active arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“Mafia-Like” Tactics: Critics describe the board’s structure as resembling a “mafia” operation or a “neocolonial” project. This is linked to reports that permanent member states must pay a $1 billion membership fee to join, which Trump has reportedly used to pressure allies, such as threatening 200% tariffs on French wine to coerce President Emmanuel Macron into joining.
Marginalization of Palestinians: While the board is tasked with overseeing the reconstruction and governance of Gaza, experts argue it sidelines Palestinian voices. The proposed three-tier structure places Trump and Western officials at the top, with Palestinians relegated to the third tier for “service delivery” without true political agency.

Alternative to the UN: The charter for the board is viewed by some as a blunt instrument to bypass the United Nations and established international law, creating a new intergovernmental organization led by Trump to exercise American power directly.

  5. What everyone is missing in the Trump Greenland saga is the hardly publisized piece that hit Zero Hedge and other finance news:

“Deutsche Bank warns of Europe’s $8 trillion ‘sell America’ weapon as U.S. eyes Greenland”

In other words, to stop Trump from taking Greenland, EU banks and institutions should sell US Treasuries. The real boss are the bond holders not some orange dickhead presiding over a collapsing empire of 39 trillion in debt.

    https://www.barchart.com/stocks/quotes/$TNX/interactive-chart

take a look at the chart, since last Friday when dumbass Orange Trumpturd sent his threat to Europe – 10 year Treasuries have exploded higher.

Don’t forget who told you again and again that interest rates were about to explode higher like a bat out of hell.

    • Interest rates are typical set based on a simple calculation of 2% over the inflation rate.

If you expect 30% inflation over the next 30 years, then the US Treasury bond yield ought to be 30 +2 = 32 percent.

      NOT THE CURRENT 4.5%

if the US Gov spending is completely out of control and Clowngress has zero fiscal discipline, and the annual deficit is 3 trillion why in the f-ck are interest rates so damn low?

Is is unreasonable to assume that in the next 30 years prices on everything could double?

IMO interest rates will soon be above their 1980 highs. Amerika is a militant banana republic run by an Orange Orangutan MIGA turd from hell.

  6. Retired German military officer ‘b’ writes these words, in an article posted at Lew Rockwell’s site today along with Eric’s essay ‘Has the Attack Been Called Off?’:

‘There are several ten-thousands U.S. soldiers and associated civilians in Europe. As the U.S. is threatening Greenland, it is justified to limit their current free movement, just to make sure that they, under Trump’s command, don’t start to do something equally stupid. In the end these people are hostages. Use them as such.

Yankee hostages, oy! Surround Ramstein Air Base, turn off the power, water and gas … and watch them flee like little bitches. ‘b’ speculates on what follows:

‘A news item yesterday said that the Pentagon claims it has put 1,500 active duty Army paratroopers on alert for a potential deployment to Minnesota. The soldiers are from the 11th Airborne Division, based at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska.

‘If you believe that the prime U.S. unit trained and designated to fight in Arctic climate were put on alarm to put down non-existent riots in Minnesota, contact me about buying this huge bridge I have on offer. These troops are without doubt preparing to take over Greenland.’

    https://www.moonofalabama.org/2026/01/trump-will-take-greenland-and-then-go-for-more.html

    I stand with Greenland.

  7. Why is Trump so obsessed with getting the Nobel Peace Prize? If you ask me, the whole Nobel Peace Prize thing was exposed as little more than a sham when Barack Obama won it just months after becoming president. Looking back at that time, Obama did very little if anything to actually advance peace, especially when we had MORE WAR under him than his predecessor, George W Bush.

    • Hi John,

Herman Goering loved medals and decorations. He was desperate to be awarded the Order of the Annunzi-something by Mussolini and was enraged when Ribbentrop got it first. Trump is like that, I think.

      • You could be right, Eric. However, much of American society has also gotten to the point where they expect medals, trophies, and decorations NOT for actual achievements at something, but merely for the sake of getting them.

    • A used car dealer here who specialized in Corvettes would often place snarky messages on his roadside sign. Once he offered to give William Gibson a free Corvette if Gibson — then head of the NAACP — would visit the dealer on the day that Gibson had designated as the day for blacks to boycott white-owned businesses to show the power of the black dollar. Gibson declined.

After Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize, the message on the dealer’s sign was
      FREE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE
      WITH ORDER OF SHRIMP TACOS

    • Trump views himself far superior than Obama, so why should Obama get the peace prize and not him. Not having one is a sign of inferiority.

And you are right, the Nobel prize is a joke.

      • Hi Yukon,

Another Nobel prize that I would say was exposed as a joke was the one for medicine after two individuals won the prize a few years ago for their work which made it possible for the “Safe and Effective!” COVID jabs to be “Warp speeded”.

  8. Silver this morning is just shy of $96 at spot this morning. I’m guessing it is at an all time high in all currencies and reflects the fact that most peoples fiat currency is dying and as that old saying goes “and then they take you to war”. From where I’m sitting I can see the Russians controlling Europe, China controlling most of Asia and the U.S. controlling most of North and South America or at least trying to.

Since we don’t have all the information on the situation it’s hard to say if President Trump is as crazy as a bug but on the surface……

Either way we can’t control what are so called leaders do. All we can do is figure out and plan for when it all goes sideways inevitably.

    • Who remembers that the US pegged the price of silver at $1.29 per ounce for over 170 years, from the Mint Act of 1792 through 1964? As the melt value of 90% silver coins exceeded $1.29 in 1964, my dad (a coin collector) spoke darkly of the debasement of the Roman denarius, and the cheap ‘n nasty sandwich coins which came in 1965.

From $1.29 to $95.00 an ounce, silver has faithfully tracked the baleful effects of massive Federal Reserve counterfeiting. Whereas, while rich country fiat currencies seesaw against each other, over time they all tend to devalue together at a similar rate, to facilitate trade.

In 2008, we suffered a financial crisis as the housing bubble imploded. Now we’re in an Everything Bubble, both housing and stocks, as QE5 launches. The coming crash will be earth-shattering. That Congress Clowns have refused for decades to audit the Federal Reserve — a creature of their own creation — tells us that it is erected on a foundation of bottomless fraud and chicanery.

Fort Knox belongs to us, comrades, empty though it may be.

      • Morning Jim.

Since everything is in a bubble and prices are high I now do my shopping at estate, bankruptcy, clearance or other sales. For new it’s maybe Walmart, Dollar Tree, Amazon or wherever I can find it on sale and good enough to do what I need it to do.

I have no debts and at this point and I don’t intend to find more debt either if I can help it.

      • Silver still has a long way to run, due to consumption it’s now rarer than gold, and to get to a 20:1 ratio with gold it needs to be nearly $250/troy oz. Note that accounting for inflation the old $40/oz record from the early 79s Hunt run up would also be in that 2-300 range.

There is still time to buy. And every ounce that real people buy is a vote against bankster manipulation and big tyrannical government. Even if you don’t vote politically this is a worthy vote.

        • Cant emphasize that enough. Even a small silver purchase if done by ten million Americans (3%) could have a devastating effect on the Deep state. Sad that most waited until 100$, when there were many of us shouting from the rooftops to buy at 20$, 30$, 40$.

The ship is going down anyway, might as well do everything peacefully within our power to upend the banksters from their life rafts.

          • That, and barter when/where ever possible.

That’s a double whammy, it cuts both the government and the banks out of the transaction.

          • Morning, Norman!

Yup. I normally pay as I go but I am seriously considering just putting the Super T10 on the card – and so having it in hand – rather than wait until I can afford to just buy it, as I normally would. That way, if things to hell, at least I have the parts I need to put the TA back together. I have guy coming by today to buy the old automatic and that will cover the bellhousing, which I’ll order later today. Good times, comrade!

  9. War is peace….Hitler had to save Mussolini’s ass before the start of Barbarossa, hence a six week delay and The Russian winter bogged down the assault. He supposedly offered peace to Britain numerous times during the pretend war period.Nary a word has ever been mentioned about that. Just he’s bad . It was worth it as now Jack can be Jill. Plus we have been enriched by hordes of third world dreamers.

Eric your comment is misprinted he declared war on the allies not Japan.

    • Hi Nova,

Yes, re the launch of Barbarossa. But I was referring to the halt called when the Germans arrived at Minsk – 200 miles shy of Moscow. They had the initiative. A factor of incalculable value. They ought to have pressed onward, even if the supply chains hadn’t quite caught up. Even if the men were tired. One last push – think Henry V – would have won the war.

Hitler also could have won at Kursk – but chose to divert several of his best divisions West to deal with the Italian situation. Fuck the Italians! Stalin was still losing the war at this point – and was sending out peace feelers. A decisive win at Kursk might have allowed the Germans to establish peace int he East and then turn everything toward the West and hold Europe.

      • I believe it was George Patton that commented that we were fighting the wrong enemy. He wanted to reach Berlin before Stalin did, but was prevented from doing so (ala, the Tehran Conference deal) Who would have imagined how right he was. Which makes you wonder about his suddenly, untimely death.

        • Hi Shadow!

Yup. I am reading a new book, Stalins War – and highly recommend it. I had no idea the extent to which the communists who were in FDR’s government, such as Harry Hopkins and Harry Dexter White, were aiding Stalin via “Lend Lease” – which was really just a massive giving away (literally) of an astounding quantity of American resources to the Soviets. FDR was either the greatest dupe or the greatest traitor – no small thing – of the 20th century.

          • The communists — with their purges, executions, show trials, censorship, propaganda, famines, gulags, and mass gang rapes of 2 million German women — were OUR ALLIES.

Ruminate on that for a bit.

If EVERYTHING Hitler is accused of was true, how was he any worse than our communist “allies”?

Both democracy and communism pronounce everyone equal. Fascism did not, so we allied with communists to attack it.

Eighty years later, most of the bullet points in “The Communist Manifesto” describe the U.S.

  10. ‘This is not rational behavior. You are dealing with a mentally unstable, vindictive narcissist.’ — eric

Orange Flake’s angry manic episode deepened ominously overnight:

“There can be no going back,” Mr. Trump wrote on social media about his designs on Greenland.

‘Trump threatened on Monday to impose 200 percent tariffs on French wine, including champagne, if President Emmanuel Macron of France declined to join his proposed “Board of Peace” for Gaza.’ — NYT

‘No going back’ — like Napoleon’s disastrous march on Moscow?

Amendment XXV provides for sidelining a president who is physically or mentally disabled. But his cabinet has to vote for it. And now that degraded US politics are just a partisan football game, Trump’s team will follow him like lemmings over the cliff to ruin.

Each day that this utter shambles continues lowers America’s rank among nations, undermines its trade, and destroys the fiat dollar’s role as a reserve currency. (Gold ripped higher by 138 counterfeit confetti dollars overnight.)

If Trump’s whipped-cur cabinet won’t act, will the US military — for the first time ever — step in and depose the raging madman? It would be a dire move. But our other institutions — the cabinet, and Clowngress with its impeachment power — have abjectly face-planted. They are no longer fit for purpose.

Will no one save what’s left of the republic? Its 250th birthday this July looks to be a funeral wake for a country done in by a demented leader.

    • Hi Jim,
Trumpenstein throws his tariffs around like a juvenile throwing spitballs. When the hell is the “Supreme” Court going to slap him down and rule that his tariffs are illegal? I wonder if they’re afraid he’ll just ignore them….then what? I’m in favor of a contingent of tanks rolling up to the White House and arresting the psychopath. Give him a Napoleon costume and put him on an island somewhere and he can be the king. Epstein Island is available.

      • If I were running another country, and Trump was trying to browbeat me with tariffs, you know what I would do?

I would call up the Sinaloas or equivalent. If anyone can get stuff across the U.S. border it’s probably them. Then flood the market & put the pigs out of business. Fight fire with fire. You wanna play fun little games? Bring it.

        Sheesh.

Everyone, I mean everyone, in charge is an unimaginative moron who shouldn’t even be there.

    • It is really, really hard to determine who is the greater evil these days: The Red Team who are putting party before country by letting a deranged madman destroy every relationship with all other countries except the malevolent genocidal Zionist state, or the Blue Team who will dispose of the Orange Douchebag but then proceed to impose their own form of tyranny.

I have come to the belief that the Executive Branch needs to be abolished all together. The “president” is no longer a check on congressional power but has become a dictator until himself. “Executive orders” should not exist. Congress is a bunch of clowns but I would much rather going back and forth between one team of clowns negating the actions of the other team of clowns and vice versa that rule by executive diktat we have now.

      It all needs to collapse.

      • I think the Red Team is the more evil of the two. And both are evil, period. At least with the Blue Team, you know what you are getting, as they make no bones about what their ultimate goal is. The Red Team will pretend they are our friends, and then stab us to death with the knife they have hidden (for many) behind their back.

        • Amen, Shadow –

I also consider the GOP the far worse of the two because the GOP co-opts what might otherwise be the opposition to authoritarianism. It also eggs on authoritarianism via its worshipful attitude toward anyone with a government badge or who is wearing cammo (officially). The GOP is much more cognitively dissonant than the Democrats, as you point out. The GOP – the party of “less government” – gave us the War on Drugs and the War on Terror. It undermines any moral argument it might have presented to fight authoritarianism by being authoritarian.

          • I think the ever-powerful theocrat wing has a great deal of responsibility for this. You can’t legislate morality (but it’s patriotic when we do it). Actually, come to think of it, it’s been freaking forever since I’ve heard anyone say that one (well, they only ever said the first part…the second part is implied.)

            • Morning, Publius!

I’m wary of anyone who insists they know “the truth” re the existential and metaphysical questions. Opinions vary. We’re all fallible. I regard only that which is objectively, demonstrably true – in accordance with inarguable facts – to be true. Everything else is a maybe until it has been proved to be true. I have no idea whether there is an intelligent designer, though I am open to facts that indicate there is. In the meanwhile I try to do the best I can and wish the best for others, which seems to me to be the essence of the Golden Rule and that’s a pretty sound basis for living one’s life, as I see it.

But what do I know? I’m just a guy who writes about cars and drives an orange Trans Am!

  11. Trump is not as novel as you might think. With the exception of the fawning over Israel, it’s all been done before by TR.

Roosevelt was an obnoxious rich guy from New York who always had to be the center of attention, and an opinionated loudmouth. He was characterized by one observer as being like a six-year old boy. He was an out-and-out warmonger who jumped at the opportunity for war with Cuba and thought Woodrow Wilson was a yellow-bellied chickenshit for not getting us into World War I sooner — yet he won the Nobel Peace Prize for mediating the Russo-Japanese war.

He declared the “Roosevelt Corollary” to the Monroe Doctrine, which held that the U.S. could intervene in the internal politics of Latin American countries. He basically stole Panama from Colombia by backing a revolutionary puppet government there that allowed him to throw the French out and let Americans build the canal and give us sovereignty over the Canal Zone.

Just as Trump is screwing over his former allies Massie and MTG, TR politically fucked over his protégé Taft by running against him in 1912, consequently splitting the Republican Party and allowing the Democrat Wilson to win by a plurality.

Like Trump, someone tried to assassinate him in the 1912 campaign. Despite having a .32 cal bullet lodged in his chest, he insisted on finishing his speech and used to event to add to his self-manufactured image (like Trump’s “Fight, fight, fight” in Pennsylvania) stating “You need a bigger gun than that to kill a bull moose” thus his self-centered Progressive Party became nicknamed the “Bull Moose Party.”

    • Ted Roosevelt won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1906 … and got his ugly mug carved on Mt Rushmore in the 1920s, in a tasteless and gratuitous act of environmental vandalism. Both of these facts intensely rankle the child-man Trump, who has attained neither.

One difference, though: during the TR presidency from 1901 to 1909, the US had no income tax and no central bank. With no welfare state, the US fedgov was small (~3 percent of GDP) and weak. It lacked the resources to menace the world, other than the even weaker Latin America.

In TR’s time, the US was still the same federation designed by the Founders: senators were selected by state governments, and could veto federal overreach. This check on federal power ended in the annus horribilis of 1913, which also brought the income tax and the Federal Reserve counterfeiting operation.

Our two 19th century legacy parties have rotted from within, and now writhe with maggots. Their disastrous succession of Dementia Joe and Demented Don shows that we must end them, promptly, or else they will end us. 🙁

    • TR dialed down the warmongering after his own son got killed in WWI, easy to send other people’s kids off to die but sucks when one of your own family is a victim. As they say, karma’s a bitch and TR got his good and hard.

      • Yeah, but his kid didn’t get killed until the end of 1918 when the war was basically over.

When Wilson declared war in 1917, TR begged Wilson (whom he had spent years insulting) to give him a command and send him to the front.

        Wilson wisely refused…

  12. The basis for all the manure being spread by Orange Julius Caesar was established in 1861 when Abe the Red decided that the Confederacy wasn’t going anywhere. It amped up when Woody Wilson thought the rest of the world was to be treated like Abe treated the Confederacy. After WWII Reconstruction for the Globe began.

It didn’t start with Trump. He’s the Pustule of Empire, not the disease.

  13. This a most shameful time in American history. It’s reading out like a shitty dime-store novel. It’s bewilderingly surreal and nauseating seeing the malevolent bozo squad at the helm of the country and those who are still cheering them on because they somehow feel “part of the team”.

    • Morning, BaDnOn!

Amen. I understand now what it must have felt like to sane Germans circa 1934, when the ranting Austrian became chancellor of the German Reich.

      • Despite the outcome, at least Hitler put the interests of Germany first…not some other country that tried to use Germany as their Bitch.

        • That’s true, Mark!

I sometimes wonder about Hitler – specifically, the decisions he made to (a) not force the surrender of the BEF at Dunkirk (supposedly, out of a naive but well-intended regard for the Brits as fellow Europeans) and (b) to declare war on the US (when Japan did next to nothing to aid the German war effort and (c) fail to use paratroops or similar to seize the French fleet and thereby create a German fleet equivalent to the British fleet and (d) pause his troops at Minsk for seven critical weeks, giving Stalin time to bring up Siberian troops, etc. to defend Moscow.

Hitler could have won the war – arguably – had he not made these obvious mistakes.

        • Good find X. The speech as well as the comments are epic. I give it a few days before Chew-tube shits itself and shuts it down.

        • I can only assume that the translation is correct, and not just more AI lies. Who knows? Uncertainty and the questioning of your own judgement is often the goal.

          • My uber liberal-tard cousin lives in Germany and speaks German fluently. I’d have him listen to it and decide, but he’d probably try to get the EU and the US to get me arrested for “hate speech”.

        • Same issue with Putin today. When Ukrain broke, I was skeptical about what our media was saying and went and read Putin;s own words. Way different than what we were told.
I’m not saying putin is bad or good, IDK. Just that his words/speeches to his people and the world were significantly different than what we got through our media.

    • the problem is bigger than the orange bozo clown conman

the problem is the pyramid of power, where the entire nation is ruled by one person

how completely insane is it to have just one person in charge

what if that one person is insane like Caligula or Orange Caligula

and what happens if the Senate is also controlled by the same people controlling Trump

Trump is so completely insane that the chances of him screwing up badly is very great – especially since there is no mechanism to restrain him

      • Hi Jack,

Excellent points. The country is ruled by perhaps a couple thousand people, encompassing the president and his paladins, Congress and the courts. 320 million are lorded over by this tiny minority – and we’re gaslit into considering ourselves “represented” because every now and then we are allowed to vote for these largely self-chosen people, who then have general proxy power over us all.
