As most of you already know, this site’s Donate button is tied to you-know-who. EPautos hasn’t been “fined” – or “cancelled” – yet. But I am anticipating the inevitability and working to come up with alternatives. For now, if you’re among those who help me keep the wheels turning and have been using you-know-who, please continue to do so until we can make alternative arrangements. The mail being one. But I am working on another.
I am also working on something else, which will hopefully be operational soon. If you look at the main page drop-down menu – Home, New Cars, Bikes, etc – You will see Tools and a pull-down menu from there. Soon – hopefully – the currently defunct Vbulletin Forum you used to be able to access from there will be replaced with an Open Forum button that isn’t defunct. 
The idea is to have a Free Speech Zone right here on EPautos where readers can initiate their own conversations about anything they’d like to discuss. It is something I have wanted to do for years and I think there is new urgency to get it done. So, stay tuned.
And – to everyone who helps me keep this thing going – thank you! I know I often get behind on sending out letters of thanks and stickers/buttons, etc. (A batch goes out today) but I want you to know how much your support is appreciated, especially given the tough times we are all dealing with.

I would encourage everyone who values freedom to close any PayPal account they may have, even if they don’t actively promote “misinformation.” We need to learn from history. This isn’t something new, except for the tech angle. It’s happened before. Pretty soon they won’t just target the speakers and writers of dissenting opinions, they will target those who listen to and read them as well. The Nazis made it a crime to listen to the BBC. The penalty was death.

I don’t know if it would work for you — I know little about it myself — but the people over at Gab have created a thing called GabPay that is a Pay-not-your-Pal alternative. I just saw the email like yesterday. I have a Gab account but I don’t think I’ve ever posted anything. I’m don’t trust any social media to not be used against me. Hence the nom de plume here.
Anyway, I am in the process of closing my Pay-not-your-Pal account. Turns out that I have an existing reservation on AirBnB for this coming week that is using it. They don’t let you change payment methods until the deal is done. I have already deleted all method of payment sources from it so it’s just a formality. When I get back next week, I’m closing the account.
We’re going to visit our friends that moved from our area to yours (Eric). They live about 45 minutes south of you over in Willis. They have chickens and goats and a couple donkeys now. They bought an old farm out there. I can’t wait to see it.

I am looking into various options and will check this out. One possibility I am leaning toward, if it can be done in a way that presents no obnoxious hassles to people wanting to support the site, is to create an EPautos account at a bank and rig a direct deposit button. I am not hip to any of this but am in the process of doing so…
