What sort of person announces that he is an “extraordinarily brilliant person”? Probably someone who thinks he is. This is one of Trump’s big problems. Or – rather – it is our big problem. Because it is a problem when a person so addled by grand mal egomania – perhaps let loose by early-stage dementia – can order nuclear weapons to be used, among other things.
Trump also said – in the same social media post – that “A RIGGED ELECTION TOOK PLACE LAST NIGHT IN THE GREAT COMMONWEALTH OF VIRGINIA!” – in reference to the voters’ approval of a measure that will allow the Democrats to gerrymander political territories in VA to their advantage. Is it possible this vote – it was not an election – was “rigged”? Of course. Almost anything is possible except a violation of the law of identity (which says that a thing is what it is and cannot at the same time be something that isn’t the same thing as what it is).
Trump produces no evidence (as opposed to assertions) in support of his claims and – more important, arguably – doesn’t see the result of the vote in VA as an early warning, a sign that the voters – not all, of course, but a lot of them – are tired of his thug-like mafia don pronouncements, his serial lying and most of all, his war.
Of course not.
He is no loser. He is an “extraordinarily brilliant person” and it is everyone else that is – his words – “low IQ” and “stupid.”
Well, was it smart to start a war that didn’t need to be started – at least not in terms of anything having to do with the interests of Americans? (Trump’s attempt to sell them on the lie that it was necessary, in order to keep the Iranians from having a nuclear deterrent, like the Israelis have, hasn’t sold any better than his lie that the Epstein Stuff was in fact all just a “Democrat hoax.”)
Was it smart to dismiss the cost of gas as “worth it”? To trump the stock market – i.e., the gains made by speculators in the know – while denying the affordability problem regarding everyday necessities his rank-and-file supporters are having to deal with? Is he not at least smart enough to see how such things are perceived by ordinary Americans and that these perceptions are not benefitting him and the MAGA movement?
His are not the actions of an “extraordinarily brilliant person.” At least not if taken at face value; i.e. if the underlying assumption is that Trump actually wants to make America great again. Perhaps he doesn’t. Perhaps the underlying assumption is wrong. What if his purpose is not to make America great again but to put the final nail in the coffin of what was America?
As mortifying as that sounds – as crazy as that sounds – it fits the facts. Occam’s Razor. Sherlock Holmes. Any good detective would agree. The fails all fall one way, don’t they?
It makes sense when viewed in this light. Everything he’s been doing. It’s all part of a plan. The actual plan – not the one his bedraggled supporters were urged to trust, the facts be damned. Pieces of evidence float around in the background. Does anyone remember that press conference Trump held shortly after his inauguration with the three Tech Bros, including Sam Altman and Larry Ellison? A strange event, to say the least – as Tech Bro billionaires pushing data centers and an AI panopticon are not exactly “MAGA.” It felt wrong, like noticing your spouse came home late and looking a little ruffled, but you put it out of your mind . . .
Then came the wheeling around on the Epstein Stuff, which cold-cocked even his most ardent supporters, leaving them stupefied and then smarting. Then fighting among themselves, disordering what had been a potent because cohesive political movement. Now this war, which is certainly evil but may not be so stupid – from a certain point-of-view.
The point of view that wants a new “COVID” only this time it will be resource scarcity rather than the cases! the cases! that is the pretext for locking us down. The entirely predictable closing of the Strait of Hormuz isn’t just causing the entirely predictable increase in gas prices an “extraordinarily brilliant person” had to have foreseen. It will cause an even more dramatic increase in food prices when the effects of fertilizer shortages are felt in a few months from now at the grocery store. It could lead to Weimar-style hyperinflation if the world economy decides to ditch the dollar – and this is also something an “extraordinarily brilliant person” would have understood could happen and probably would happen as a consequence of attacking Iran.
It would explain the otherwise inexplicable, suicidal stupidity of the man’s recent actions and utterances. Does he really not comprehend? How could he not see that – as things are shaping up – his party will not be merely decimated (a word Trump uses but apparently does not understand the meaning of) but destroyed as a viable opposition party? That he himself could face worse than the kabuki show that is impeachment? Can he possibly by that stupid? That disconnected from reality? Maybe. He is elderly and the elderly are like that, sometimes. They know what they know and no one else is going to tell them otherwise. Especially when – as in his case – anyone who might do that has already been removed from his orbit, replaced by graduates of the Wilhelm Keitel School of Advanced Sycophancy.
On the other hand, maybe he is an “extraordinarily brilliant person” – and we were stupid enough not to see that.

With the onset of the Iranian War, crude oil supplies to all refineries in Asia were cut off. This forced Asian countries to cut back the crude oil rates to all of their refineries. As their crude oil charge rates were cut, their production of gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel also declined. Approximately four weeks ago, their production rates dropped so low that they were forced to discontinue all shipments of fuel to California.
Currently, we only have two to three more weeks of fuel ships still in transit across the Pacific. After three weeks, once they are offloaded, we have nothing backing them up. 42% of our gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel supplies will be gone.
What Does this mean for us?
Inventory Lows: Gasoline inventories in our state are currently at a 10-year low.
Price Surges: Once the fuel ships stop arriving, prices will likely surge to historic levels as the state’s fuel reserves are exhausted.
Widespread Shortages: We can expect unprecedented shortages in California, Phoenix, Reno, and Las Vegas.
Supply Chain Collapse: Due to diesel shortages, we can expect the price of all goods to increase, along with the real possibility of commodity and food supply issues.
Aviation: Jet fuel prices have already doubled. Once these shortages hit, we should expect massive flight cancellations.

Whether it’s formally taught in school or just learned by context, titles and honorifics are bestowed by others, not oneself. But Nigerian 409 scammers introduce themselves this way in phishing emails, in what they imagine is the dignified manner of a fussy bank officer.
Likewise, a world-renowned icon does not need a label stating the obvious. You will not find a ten-foot-tall, gold-lettered plaque reading ‘The Eiffel Tower’ on the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Everyone knows its name. Yet Donnie has installed a sign in golden script letters outside his office door, reading ‘The Oval Office.’ It’s so cringe it makes me blush. It will, I confidently predict, be removed on the afternoon of January 20, 2029.
Contrary to what Donnie imagines, his ‘The Oval Office’ sign announces that he’s an incorrigible vulgarian — a person upon whom billions in the bank can never confer good taste. No matter how many greasy dollars Donnie amases, he will always be a scruffy little kid from Queens, peering in through the window and envying the discreet charm of the multi-generational rich — those who understand that real wealth and taste are always understated.

Before you throw Trump under the stupid bus, he might just be on the verge of a brilliant plan to fix (or at least monkey wrench) Virginia’s left-wing re-districting take over.
In 1790 our new country needed a more central hub for government closer to the South. An area was selected between Maryland and Virginia to become Washington DC. Each of these States signed on to an agreement to cede state territory to create this federal district. Well back 1847, Virginians saw the writing on the wall regarding slavery was going to be outlawed and wanted to protect the slave trade in their area and rescinded the agreement and took back the territory they had given. The area is Arlington County and including the city of Alexandria. This has never been litigated and several Presidents over the last century and half had argued that this area should go back and become Washington DC. Today is especially apropos since Virginia took this area in the benefit of *slavery* and reparations are the argument du jour of the Marxist-Democrats.
Trump is aware of this and is contemplating signing an executive order directing the DOJ to redraw the boundary of WDC to include Arlington County and the City of Alexandria. This county is very populous, works in WDC, votes 80-90% Leftwing in Virginia politics and no doubt where ballot anomalies just happen to occur. This would return Virginia to Virginians and disenfranchise the carpetbaggers working for the federal government.
I can hear the stuff Marxist-Democrat pigs squealing all the way from my leftwing state on the left coast. It would be litigated of course, but this argument deserves it day in the Supreme court in 2-4 years from now and in the meantime the caterwauling would be schadenfreude-fun to watch.

The question, though, is whether such a thing will actually occur. I am deeply pessimistic about Trump’s intentions and competence. I expect he’ll say some things; but then nothing will come of it.
The VA redistricting is wrong as it was a political move and disenfranchises the state’s rural voters. Trump only is against it because it is the other team doing it, he was all on board when TX started the whole mess with the same stunt.
I am beyond giving the Orange Douche credit for ANYTHING, any time he spurts something that might be truthful it is likely an accident.

There is substantial evidence that it’s all Kabuki theater for the masses anyway, as the elections have been selections for a long time and both wings of the Uniparty agree to divide up their “turf”, for example the Blue Team gets California and the Red Team gets Texas (there are rumors this actually happened). I would not be surprised if the Blue Team got Virginia in exchange for the Red Team getting Ohio possibly.

In a little good news, a A Virginia judge ruled on Wednesday that the state’s redistricting referendum approved by voters a day earlier was invalid, nullifying the election results.
Hopefully this is not overturned as those who live in urban hives should not be voting in the same district as people living in the rural parts do as the issues they face are radically different and an individual running for office could just ignore the concerns of rural voters if he got the preponderance of urban votes.
