It is clear and dry here in SW VW today – but it might rain tomorrow. The Clovers are driving accordingly. The weather report acts on their Fear Muscle much the same as reports about the latest “variant” – which triggers some people to “mask up,” because you can never be too safe!
This Clover was driving 15-20 MPH below the speed limit, Because Curves (which can be taken using one’s knees to steer at those speeds). An interesting aspect of this scene – and many others I have seen – is that the Clover was driving the high performance version of the For Explorer, which has a “sport” suspension, larger (grippier) tires and so on. Plus an array of safety net assistance technology. Yet he drove as if he were driving one of the original, tipsy Explorers – and even so, still couldn’t keep it in between the yellow and white lines.
What was it Spicoli said all those years ago, in Fast Times at Ridgemont High? Dudes on ‘ludes should not drive!

I got Conti ExtremeContacts DSW06+’s on my GR86, I drive her like its a normal day out unless its white out conditions, flooding or a blizzard
I don’t get Clovers who get awds and drive like they got Grandma in the back with baked goods heading to church on sunday
And, you seem to be catching the Super-Clover in the white vehicle that’s ahead of the Clover-in-Question.
I will admit to “breaking the line” on such roads but, only to take a more correct race line…
Even worse, and what really cracks me up, Eric, is that never mind this Clover going 15-20 under the speed limit. That is bad enough. But they are also applying the brakes every time they crest around a curve, and pretty much every time they go faster than 35 or so.
They act like its still the ole days of yore where SUVs were too top heavy and could tip over at a moments notice, even though the curve is gentle like how they treat the gas pedal until you pass them up
‘Dudes on ‘ludes should not drive.’ — eric
Nor should they even walk — they trip on door thresholds, furniture, their own shoelaces.
Taking Quaaludes is like having a blood alcohol concentration of 0.40, but not passing out: one is lucky to remain upright for more than few seconds … with a functional IQ of about 15.
This is why I favor administering ‘ludes to all 535 Congress Clowns … then distributing full-auto weapons, 500 rounds apiece, locking the doors, and urging them to settle their differences ‘the American way.’ Fire, aim, ready! 🙂
Sounds expensive. Better set up a pay per view, ammo isnt getting any cheaper!
