A “drug war” demo gone wrong:

  1. Dear David,

It is too easy to assail democrats, republicans, neo-cons, progressives, and all the other easily debunked foils. I often attack Christians, women, America, tradition, western philosophy, minorities, sex, drugs, culture, propriety, decorum, hygiene, civility, and other less obvious targets just to see what they’re really made of.

It’s the things you take for granted unthinkingly that may be your undoing. Where did the shirt, shoes, car, home, computer, language, skills, and other things you possess come from?

More important than Jesus and Christian fellowship is: air, water, sleep, food, protection, energy, gravity, and electro-magnetism. You can’t extrapolate everything from the Good Book and sermons. It’s ridiculous to claim otherwise.

There was a world and universe before there was a savior. There continues to be a world and universe after there is a savior. You will have to learn to integrate and commune with all kinds of people and things you do not like. That is life.

You must never fail to pronounce moral judgment.

Nothing can corrupt and disintegrate a culture or a man’s character as thoroughly as does the precept of moral agnosticism, the idea that you must never pass moral judgment on others, that you must be morally tolerant of anything, that the good consists of never distinguishing good from evil.

It is obvious who profits and who loses by such a precept. It is not justice or equal treatment that you grant to men when you abstain equally from praising men’s virtues and from condemning men’s vices.

When your impartial attitude declares, in effect, that neither the good nor the evil may expect anything from you—whom do you betray and whom do you encourage?

But to pronounce moral judgment is an enormous responsibility. To be a judge, you must possess an unimpeachable character; you need not be omniscient or infallible, and it is not an issue of errors of knowledge. You need an unbreached integrity, that is, the absence of any indulgence in conscious, willful evil.

Just as a judge in a court of law may err, when the evidence is inconclusive, but may not evade the evidence available, nor accept bribes, nor allow any personal feeling, emotion, desire or fear to obstruct his mind’s judgment of the facts of reality—so every rational person must maintain an equally strict and solemn integrity in the courtroom within his own mind.

Within your sacred mind, your responsibility is more awesome than in any public tribunal. You, serving as your own judge, are the only one to know when you have been impeached.

If people did not indulge in such abject evasions as the claim that some contemptible liar “means well”—that a mooching bum “can’t help it”—that a juvenile delinquent “needs love”—that a criminal “doesn’t know any better”—that a power-seeking politician is moved by patriotic concern for “the public good”—that communists are merely “agrarian reformers”—the history of the past few decades, or centuries, would have far more encouraging.

The precept: “Judge not, that ye be not judged” . . . is an abdication of moral responsibility: it is a moral blank check you give to others in exchange for a moral blank check you expect for oneself.

There is no escape from the fact that men have to make choices; so long as men have to make choices, there is no escape from moral values; so long as moral values are at stake, no moral neutrality is possible. To abstain from condemning a torturer, is to become an accessory to the torture and murder of his victims.

The moral principle to adopt in this issue, is: “Judge, and be prepared to be judged.”

The opposite of moral neutrality is not a blind, arbitrary, self-righteous condemnation of any idea, action or person that does not fit your mood, your memorized slogans or your snap judgment of the moment.

Indiscriminate tolerance and indiscriminate condemnation are not two opposites: they are two variants of the same evasion. To declare that “everybody is white” or “everybody is black” or “everybody is neither white nor black, but gray,” is not a moral judgment, but an escape from the responsibility of moral judgment.

To judge means: to evaluate a given concrete by reference to an abstract principle or standard. It is not an easy task; it is not a task that can be performed automatically by your feelings, “instincts” or hunches.

It is a task that requires the most precise, the most exacting, the most ruthlessly objective and rational process of thought. It is fairly easy to grasp abstract moral principles; it can be very difficult to apply them to a given situation, particularly when it involves the moral character of another person.

When you pronounce moral judgment, whether in praise or in blame, you must be prepared to answer “Why?” and to prove your case—to yourself and to any rational inquirer.

The man who refuses to judge, who neither agrees nor disagrees, who declares that there are no absolutes and believes that he escapes responsibility, is the man responsible for all the blood that is now spilled in the world. Reality is an absolute, existence is an absolute, a speck of dust is an absolute and so is a human life.

There are two sides to every issue: one side is right and the other is wrong, but the middle is always evil. The man who is wrong still retains some respect for truth, if only by accepting the responsibility of choice. But the man in the middle is the knave who blanks out the truth in order to pretend that no choice or values exist.

Morality is the province of philosophical judgment, not of psychological diagnosis. Moral judgment must be objective, i.e., based on perceivable, demonstrable facts. A man’s moral character must be judged on the basis of his actions, his statements and his conscious convictions—not on the basis of inferences (usually, spurious) about his subconscious.

A man is not to be condemned or excused on the grounds of the state of his subconscious. His psychological problems are his private concern which is not to be paraded in public and not to be made a burden on innocent victims or a hunting ground for poaching psychologizers. Morality demands that one treat and judge men as responsible adults.

This means that one grants a man the respect of assuming that he is conscious of what he says and does, and one judges his statements and actions philosophically, i.e., as what they are—not psychologically, i.e., as leads or clues to some secret, hidden, unconscious meaning. One neither speaks nor listens to people in code.

It is not man’s subconscious, but his conscious mind that is subject to his direct control—and to moral judgment. It is a specific individual’s conscious mind that one judges (on the basis of objective evidence) in order to judge his moral character.

The alternative is not: rash, indiscriminate moralizing or cowardly, evasive moral neutrality—i.e., condemnation without knowledge or the refusal to know, in order not to condemn. These are two interchangeable variants of the same motive: escape from the responsibility of cognition and of moral judgment.

The capacity and exercise of moral judgment is an indispensable component of your survival on planet Earth.

  2. India continues to show the world how to stand up to the American Police State.

US Indian ambassador hero forced to cancel Nepal trip. India patiently demonstrates yet again how it is now the producer/leader of the English-speaking free-world and not the US or UK puppet-masters.

  3. Two most likely reasons this site has run afoul of googul

    1 Offensive content

    “Proof”
encyclopediadramatica.es is much more popular than this site, yet has a zero page rank.

    Alexa Traffic Rank 22,404
Alexa Traffic Rank in United States 5,853
    Compete Traffic Rank 13,651
    Quantcast Traffic Rank 15,308

    2 Dual Url problem

“proof”(as best I can explain what I think is happening)
epautos has a pagerank of 4
but no site content is linked to this url

ericpetersautos has a pagerank of 0
all the site content is linked to this url

googul counts your pageviews and content stats under the url epautos, and gives it a pagerank 4, but they offer no compensation. Assume that for compensation purposes, they’re looking at your other, dormant url.

googul counts your search engine hits and indexes your content under the url ericpetersautos, yet gives it a pagerank 0, because all your pageviews and stats are kept by them on the other url.

    Attempt at real world analogy

imagine I had the same employee entered twice in my company payroll software

database employee eric1 has all eric’s info and correct pay rate. I’m a crook so no hours are recorded here.

database employee eric2 has a note flagged: “see eric1 for additional data.” This instance has eric being paid 1% of his correct pay rate. this is where I record all eric’s hours and can give the appearance of paying him what he’s worth. (Mathematically he’ll be paid his full rate for all his work)

In the overall summary report, both eric1 and eric2 are aggregated for reporting, and everything seems to add up.

eric2’s pay rate of 80 cents an hour ties with the 80 hours he worked. eric1’s info is listed in the report, and it’ll appear like eric is correctly entered into the software to the casual observer.

Only the one who kept payroll for the company would know the specifics of this scheme. Anyone else would suspect he’s being paid too little, but they wouldn’t be able to prove anything specific.

    • Morning, Tor!

Anything (literally) is possible. But, of course, unknowable. That was one of the exasperating problems: They would not tell us, exactly, what their problem with us was. It was impossible to communicate with a real person, either by phone or e-mail (or Pony Express). They just sent us form letters (via-email) and so on. Dom tried everything he could think of to placate them, but nothing he did could be determined (either way) as an answer (or not) to their problem with the site. We were left to guess – and because the potential issues(s) could be any one (or more) of thousands of things – and because there’s no way to determine whether any given corrective action would be “it” – we were placed in an impossible position.

Google is an arrogant monolith that will not even deign to communicate with those it “does business” with. You simply accept whatever Google dictates (even if you can’t figure out what, exactly, it is they’re demanding) or you quit them. We quit them.

Now, the upside is the site is not in any way beholden to Google – and it’s not cluttered up with obnoxious (and of little or no interest to most people here) ads. The handful of ads we do have are for products that I believe many here are interested in. We’re working to get more such. The goal being to establish relationships with a relative handful of advertisers whose products or services we personally believe in. That plus support from the readers ought to do the trick.

  4. The evasive language they use to describe the incident is of the kind that makes me physically ill.

“…the male began moving his legs which I believed prompted Max’s action to bite the male juvenile.”

In this instance, Max is portrayed as just a poor doggie doing what doggies do when they’re scared. Don’t forget that if the boy had tried to fend off the attack, he would have been arrested and charged for at the very least assault and battery on the animal who would have magically transformed into “Officer Max”, carrying all the protections of a human police officer but with none of the liability.

Moving on, allow me to translate so as to straighten this shit out:

“A child who, fearing for his safety, backed away from the 80-plus pound attack dog, was left screaming in terror and bleeding on the floor, the victim of a vicious unprovoked assault by an animal trained to do only two things – kill and detect drugs and money.”

    Also as a bonus:

“Police chief McQueen did not make himself available for an on-camera interview.”

Translation: “Chief McQueen, fully aware of the legal shitstorm headed his way, chose to barricade himself in his office with the guilty parties in order to get their stories straight. In fact, if you look closely behind me, you may be able to see him peering through the curtains of one of the second floor windows.”

BTW, nice touch with the colored lights at the top!

    Happy Horrid-Days!

  5. What conclusion do you come to after viewing all these Maggot Hero videos? I conclude the day has come to stand up.

    When Resistance Becomes Duty

You know that something is horribly wrong. In this country and all over the world. And if you’re paying any attention at all, you know it’s getting worse. The privacy and freedoms you once took for granted have been taken from you. Without your permission.

And in return you’ve been given the false promise of safety. But safety from what? And from whom? The only real threat is coming from the people in power. Those who pretend that they’re protecting you. More and more frequently, peaceful citizens are being beaten, tasered, and shot by police for the most trivial of offenses.

And we stand by and watch. Soon enough it’s forgotten about and rarely is there any kind of punishment or retribution of any kind against the uniformed attackers. Some are even hailed as heroes for attacking these innocents.

So it happens again and again until it becomes normal for you to fear going a couple of miles over the speed limit for fear of being brutalized. Why should this surprise you? This is nothing new. As has happened over and over again throughout history. Our society is becoming desensitized to being oppressed. And that means a terrifying future for our children. And their children.

It’s not okay to see injustice and let it go. But people do it every day because they think it doesn’t affect them. It does. Like a schoolyard bully who is allowed to terrorize and assault the other children. If that behavior is not addressed, and immediately corrected, it will continue. So how do we correct it?

First, we speak out when we see injustice happening. Call attention to it. Once the first person speaks up others tend to follow suit. Be that first-person. Make it clear that you will use whatever means necessary to protect the innocent. It’s okay to push back. It’s okay to be angry. And it’s okay to be aggressive in defending not only your own rights. But the rights of others.

Don’t fool yourself into thinking that keeping quiet and doing as you’re told. Passively allowing the rights of others, the livelihood of others, and the of future humanity to be destroyed in this way will keep trouble from landing on your doorstep. And it isn’t much better to sit on the sidelines crying for change instead of taking it on yourself to make that change happen.

People have to pick their battles, the goal here is not martyrdom. But if you will never resist. If you are never willing to forcibly defend yourself for your fellow man. If you’ll never draw a line and say this I will not allow. Then you have already lost. You are already a defeated and conquered slave.

Look at the societies where everyone minded his own business. Tried not to make waves and didn’t resist. How did that turn out for them? This country is headed down the same destructive path. If that’s okay with you, then just remain silent. Just go with the flow and do as you’re told. If that’s not okay with you, then disobey and resist.

If someone was threatening the safety of your own child, or someone else dear to you. Wouldn’t you aggressively defend them? Some say you gotta look out for number one, and that’s true to a point. However it has been the courage of the selfless. those willing to put themselves in harm’s way to defend others, who have pushed humanity forward. The world has already had enough examples of quiet cowards. Passively looking on as their fellow human beings were oppressed, tortured, brutalized, and murdered.

The defenseless need to be defended. Mothers who endure the pain and sacrifice of bringing a child into the world and putting the child’s happiness and survival above their own is the only reason the human race exists. If you’re one of those who intend to make a difference in the world. If you consider yourself an activist. Then it’s your job to act as the mother of humanity. So protect your children against predators by any means necessary.

A mother bear doesn’t ask a predator not to eat her baby. She stops it from doing so using defensive force. Often the mere threat of force is enough to stop an attacker in his tracks. To understand this is vital. This means it is possible to lead a non-violent resistance simply by letting it be known that we will not stand by and let another person be harmed.

In the wild the predators pick out the weak of the herd because it’s safe. The human predators treat the human herd the same way. Targeting one person at a time as the rest of the flock stands idly by watching. It’s high time the good people stop allowing the weak and helpless to be picked off one at a time by parasites and predators, including the parasites and predators who wear badges and uniforms.

If tomorrow you are the target of the power-happy thugs of the world, you will want more than anything for others to stand up with you. To protect you. And defend you. But tomorrow you will not deserve to have anyone stand up for you. If you do not stand up now for those whom the predators are victimizing today. It’s time we dig our heels in and let it be known that we will not be beaten down. We will not stand by and watch. We will resist. And we will not give up.
