The Spanbergering

As you no doubt know, Virginia has a new – very Left – governor and the very Left now controls the entirety of Virginia’s state government. This is interesting because the Left is mostly confined to the urban hive surrounding the federal capital and a few diaspora hives such as Richmond. It is interesting because if you look at one of those red-blue maps that depicts the political lay of the land, the state as a whole is overwhelmingly red – meaning not Left.

Yet the Left controls the state – which means it controls, basically, everything going on in the state.

This is interesting because – among other things – the Left’s main talking point is that “democracy” is the supreme value.  Leftists esteem “democracy” to the same extent they esteem “free speech” – i.e., to the extent it is advantageous to pretend to esteem them. Once they have power – which they esteem above all – Leftists discard their pretensions about “free speech” and “democracy.”

Leftists especially dislike those who are not of their tribe – in particular, those who are not part of their apparat – having weapons of any kind but especially firearms. Those are for the praetorians who guard Leftists – and impose Leftism. That is why the Left, in Virginia, is in the process of illegalizing firearms in Virginia – but only as regards the not-Left that is to be (so it is hoped) rendered disarmed and so helpless against the Left.

I live in a rural SW Virginia county where most people own more firearms than they do cars. Yet there is almost no “gun” crime to speak of. People still leave their homes unlocked – because it is safe for them to do so. Could that safety have anything to do with the fact that anyone contemplating a home invasion understands that he will likely not be dealing with disarmed and so defenseless homeowners? Spanberger is similarly protected. But she intends to assure everyone not of her class isn’t. To put a finer point on it, she and the other Leftists who now have total power in the state of Virginia intend to make it a crime for those not of her class even to possess the means of protecting themselves and a far more serious crime to actually protect themselves, when the necessity arises.

It goes without saying the necessity is more likely to arise when it is known that people are easy targets. Spanberger and people of her class will be perfectly safe, of course – as they will be protected by the weapons they intend to forbid those not of their class.

This sets up something that is likely to prove to be extremely interesting.

People – when faced with existential threats – tend to do what they must to preserve themselves, to say nothing of the people they are responsible for, such as their families. Will the folks who constitute the majority in most of Virginia outside the urban hives of Northern Virginia and Richmond tuck tail and accept being told they must give up owning guns or be considered “criminals”?

The dreary reality is that this has been accepted in other states already.

Virginia may depart from this pattern because much of the state is still rural and in those majority red parts of the state, the attitude is very different than it is in Fairfax and Loudoun counties.  But attitudes do not decide elections when population concentrations are decisive and “COVID” showed – God help us – how compliant most people are, even in red parts of the state. But – perhaps – “COVID” has caused enough people to finally understand that compliance is costly.

Maybe – just maybe – enough people in the rest of the state will make the state ungovernable by those who control the state’s urban hives. This is the Mason Dixon line of our times. It is not as geographically convenient as the actual Mason Dixon line, which neatly defined the North and the South as distinctly separate regions. But it is nonetheless a line of demarcation just as divided.

As then, one side neither understands nor likes the other side and would prefer to avoid dealing with them at all. As then, also, one side does not seek to impose itself on the other side but merely wishes to be let alone, while the other side is determined to not let the other side alone.

How it is going to play out in our time is of course the great unknown. It is a much more complicated situation but it is also as simple as a cat and a dog that do not like each other being made to live together.

Better for both for the cat to have his own house to live in – and the same for the dog.

  1. Seriously Eric, just a previso is all I’m asking for. Remind people that the populist beach-head is the republican party, and each next election is the most importaint as America is fighting for it’s life! Did you see them sit through the (shitshow of missed opportunity imo) SOTU? The Dem party (uniparty as in 100% dems/30% republicans) (it could be 30/70 but if the frontrunner has the Trump effect – it makes all republican candidates emulate him, and it’s up to us to figure out which ones to vote for.)

It’s a 2 party in name and effect system, with the R’s being the taken over and now squandering beach-head of freedom. The Democrats are openly the OPEN party of Satan and Pedophilia. One is trying to kill us, and the other has middle of the road few and a sizeable chunk of populists and most importantly is our voting block for the agenda of the next populist candidate.

Let 2024-2026 serve as a lesson on what agencies are beholden to the chief executive and which ones the President only gets to pick a talking head for – who must be certified by the congress.

Shitting on Trump will get you a lot of clicks, but remember it’s supposed to be sad, and on a lot of fronts he’s still doing good. The Paris Climate Accord was going to kill 2 billion people worldwide according to lord Monkton which we got out of day 1.

On some fronts criticising Trump/admin has gotten him to course correct which is how it’s supposed to work. So always make sure its fair!

Side note because you have EDS – Elon … (look a rich guy wants to make money on electric cars which we hate and a number of other things. It doesn’t mean he nessicarily wants to ruin the future for all of us like other globalist scum!) you wrote off D.O.G.E. which was poised to actually change things, except boomer Trump decided to cover up the Epstein files to protect his wife and so called friends due to misinfo and his narcasism. The coverup comes from him! No doubt because left leaning trators convinced this overworked 79yo man that the fake dirt slipped into the files is worth covering up, and the deep state agencies that he has no real control over led him to this conclusion and have double crossed him.

What has been released is total satanic jerkey and pizza and drugs and guns CIA trafficking and is going to force Trump’s hand, with the Dems being the real guilty party, with the high ground because Trump is covering it up!

I don’t honestly think Trump is on par with the RINO republicans who hate his guts and pretend to be his friend. We’ve got to constructively criticise where possible to let it be known what the populist base wants, and remember above all the moment the tables are turned to the DEM side that we’re ALL FUCKED! There won’t even be riding it out until a less BOOMER candidate can be voted in by us! Even if we have to do it via massive landslide again to overcome the rigged voting machines!

Vote like it’s the most importaint ever. Remind people what 4 years of hell, undoing Trump 1 and pre-loading the coffers of rent-a-mobs with govt fraud is like.

It’s the Republican party vs the end of America, and it’s our job to get this boomer on his way out across the finish line without doing us and our chances of continuing to reform the R party as POPULIST – doing us in.

    Please Eric, more like this!!!!

I know it’s fun shitting on Trump but remember that he actually means well vs the Bushes. And it’s our job to take that momentum and next time do an even better job of seperating the RINOs from the Populists.

Dems retake power there won’t be another election. THEY HAVE THEIR PERMANENT UNDERCLASS OF ILLEGALS AND MANY NEW HOUSE SEATS!

JUST REMIND US AT EVERY TURN WHAT HAPPENS IF THEY WIN THE MID-TERMS = THE COMPLETE END OF AMERICA!!!! Now Trump isn’t even that bad / even if you think by comparison. It’s DO OR DIE and that distinction is WORTH NOTING. Don’t act like controlled opposition please, there’s enough Anti-Trump for the sake of Anti-Trump! Be a damn journalist and Tell Them!

    • There are also many Democrat voters who are STILL mad at those who refused to wear face diapers everywhere AND take an experimental COVID jab just a few years ago (despite the refusers being proved 100% RIGHT overtime) and would undoubtedly LOVE to take revenge against such people in addition to anyone who ever voted for Trump and/ or supported RFK Jr as President Trump’s HHS Secretary. Astounding how they’re mad NOT at those who LIED about COVID, face diapers, and mRNA jabs, they’re mad at those who questioned the Tony Faucis of the world and “Did their own research”.

      • Hi John,

The CIA has been involved in all kinds of nefarious activities. They have a long history of researching use of mind control technologies, including use of “vaccines”.
They have no ethics, no moral sense, no humanity, and a complete lack of concern for human life. It’s no coincidence that, after the defeat of the Nazis, various Nazis were recruited into what eventually became the CIA.

    • Hi Steve,

I am not “shitting on Trump.” This implies I am being untruthful or unfair. Is it “shitting” on Epstein to mention what he was doing? You write: “Dems retake power there won’t be another election.” Yes. Exactly. And why is that becoming more likely? It is because Trump is actually shitting on us – those of us who voted for him because we wanted the wars to stop. The creeps to be brought to justice. For sanity to be restored. Instead, we get a reboot of The Chimp with a spray tan, who psost pictures of the Obamas as apes and constantly lets loose with gratuitously stupid comments that cause people to despise him. The same guy who says the drugs he helped to push were “beautiful” and “saved millions of lives.” Who praises Albert Bourla. Who has done nothing to bring Fauci or any other “COVID” creeps to justice.

No, I am not forgetting that, either.

You’re right about the Democrats. But I think I am right about Trump – much as I wish I weren’t.

  2. Now I see the article. Yes this is the Dems which I believe are worth mentioning at every turn. The Scum of the Scum of the Scum! This is what’s waiting in the wings if you don’t point out that the republican party is the party taken over by populists, and scum RINOs are the ones who need primaried, even if Trump is at every turn trying to bolster the RINOs.

Richmond is a hell-hole. Trust me.

10-1 Dem representation is her idea of a new voting map!

    • Indeed, Steve –

But why did Spanberger win by a landslide? I think because to a great extent the Left came out in force to vote and because lots of independents/moderates are appalled by Trump and either stayed home or voted for Spanberger. Remember that a Republican won before Spanberger. Something has changed. VA is a bellwhether and it does not portend well for MAGA. There is nothing wrong with MAGA, by the way. Nationalism and populism are popular. The problem is Trump’s no longer popular – because his is (to use your term) shitting all over populism and nationalism. He is betraying us and delegitimizing populism and nationalism. I believe he was installed for just this reason. I believe the “assassination” attempt involved ketchup packs and Kabuki. The whole thing is political WWF wrestling. I am no longer cheering because I am no longer fooled.

If he takes us to war with Iran for Israel, then fuck him. We might as well just accept that we are owned and occupied and take whatever measure are necessary to preserve ourselves against these monsters, both blue and red.

      • I don’t think you’re right. No ketchup packets and the Chimp was globalist scum which jis policies are destroying. Sadly on the other hand in his age he is becoming more and more like the chimp.

I think the ketchup packet angle is complete BS. But if that’s what you believe it re-inforces my belief that you are predispositioned to not give him a fair shake!

That said he’s definitely letting us down.

  3. I’ve suspected Spanberger was a Deep State plant all along and things are being rigged to favor her. She even admits she had been a CIA employee. And remember the mystery flash drive with all the votes near Richmond that put her over the top for her second term in Congress during the 2020 election?

Now, I suspect the New York Times is incorrect about saying she’ll be the running mate for Newsom (or anyone else). The Dems don’t want another White male as the Presidential candidate. No, Spanberger is going to be the top contender for the 2028 Dem nomination for President. And she won’t even have to finish her gubernatiorial term to run then.

    You saw it here first.

  4. One reason the Commie Party, er the Democrats, control VA is because the GOP blows off races. I’ve dug into this before; I took a look at the 2017 VA election, the one the brought Ralph Northam to power. The GOP blew off over 20 House of Delegates races and like three State Senate races that year. In addition to controlling the governor’s mansion down there, he Dems had narrow majorities in both houses of the VA Legislature; IIRC, they held a 52-48 majority in the House of Delegates, and they held a one or two seat majority in the State Senate. If the GOP had fielded candidates in all the races and won even 1/4 of those, they would’ve controlled the VA Legislature; that means they could’ve stopped much of Ralph Northam’s agenda, such as universal background checks on gun purchases.

If a party wants to win a political race, then they-gasp-have to be IN the race! As the old lottery commercial says, you have to be in it to win it. Even so, the GOP blew off a bunch of races in 2017, so the Dem candidate often won by default because they had someone to vote for.

I swear, the VA GOP is in cahoots with the Democrats down there. At best, they’re useless. Back in the 2013 VA governor’s race, they had a good candidate running: Ken Cuccinelli. He’s solidly conservative; he offered a real alternative to Terry McAuliffe. Guess what? The VA GOP gave Cucinelli NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER! They gave him no financial support; they gave him no logistical support; they didn’t lift a finger to help him. Hence, Terry McAuliffe won.

    • Indeed, Mark –

That’s why I am done wasting my time on it. I understand there’s fatalism in that. But isn’t that just acknowledging reality? Why bother getting agitated or spending time on the stupid clown show when it’s a certainty that nothing is going to change until the whole rotten thing comes crashing down? I think amoral awakening is what’s worth working on. Getting people to wake up and recognize that politics is just legalized thuggery. That the solution is for us each to be responsible for ourselves and those who depend on us and to leave others be. Until that happens, we’ll just be bickering among ourselves and using the ballot box to legitimize our own enserfment.

      • Eric,

You’re not being fatalistic, just realistic; you’re acknowledging the reality staring you and all freedom minded Virginians in the face. I’ve pretty much adopted a similar mindset here in PA, because our GOP is useless too. There’s no voting our way out of this. Perhaps TPTB are, in a sneaky way, not permitting us to vote? Mark Twain once said that, if voting mattered, they wouldn’t let us do it….

      • Umm, you arent waking anybody up.

I am not bickering, you are bickering. Huge difference.

We are tired of the Whoopi Goldberg style of outrage reporting. You are just as outraged as a liberal Karan.

I am at the point of wondering who prescribed you estrogen.

          • Even better! A jock response! Are you going to start writing sports articles now? I cannot wait to see whose jock you sniff first.

9mm for the hood, 10mm for the woods.

What u packing? Oh wait, you are about to turn your shit in because there is no better place to go.

Did you know it is women who have a hard time packing up and leaving? They are too attached.

            • Well, J –

You’re the jerk who brought up estrogen – so I am calling you out on it. Let’s see who’s estrogenated. But I doubt you’ll rise to the challenge. You’re not even man enough to use your real name. Sniffing jocks has nothing to do with it. More ad hominem. I responded with a challenge; one you’re afraid to accept.

Your “solution” to the problem – of tyranny in VA – is to “pack up and leave.” To go where? I have asked you multiple times to give me even one example of a state within the United States that is meaningfully better as opposed to better in this or that way (but also worse in other ways). No answer. Just “estrogen” and “jock sniffing.”

You know who “packs up and leaves”? Fraidy cats is who. I prefer to stand my ground.

              I’ve actually done it, too.

              • I am using my real name. You have my email, it identifies me, I am not anonymous. J is the first lettet of my name.

Seems you get offended easily. Getting offended easily is usually referred to as being “thin skinned”

Estrogen increases the thickness of the dermis and shrinks the epidermis. Vice versa, men have thick epidermises due to testosterone. Your skin seems thin to me, the only way for that to happen is to be on estrogen. That combined with the emotuonally driven political articles you have written lately, how am I to know you arent a female except that you are doing a tranny installation that is not woke in any sense of that word.

You can bench all you want, in fact, prisoners find it helpful to workout and be as strong as possible. I do not think there is any wonder why that is.

                • Actually, J, I don’t get offended easily – as is attested to by the fact that I am being polite and responding to you with challenges (to what you’ve said) and facts rather than petty insults about “estrogen” and “jock sniffing.”

You do not use your real name, because a first letter – J – is not your name. I doubt “Midnight” is your last name, either.

I am Eric Peters. I do not hide who I am. Nor even where I live. Why do you? And why are you unwilling to answer the question I have asked you repeatedly regarding which states are so much better than VA such as to make it worth upending the life i have built in Va to start over in some other place?

I’d really like for you to answer that rather than accuse me of being an “estrogenated jock sniffer.”

              • I have told you where I went. You are just another horse led to water that refuses to even see the water.

Do your own homework. Where I went may not be for you. Stand your ground Ben Dover! By all means, never accept that you decided the “this is fine” meme fits you perfectly.

                • There you go – again.

“Ben Dover.” So clever. You have not told us – on these boards – where you went. Why not? I would like to know so I can address your claims as by comparing this state you won’t mention with VA.

A state is one or two words. They can be typed in ten seconds or less.

                  • Dude, I have said it before, Shadow went off on me for it. You apparently did not notice. The last freaking frontier. It aint perfect. Its cold, but it isnt Virginia, by a long shot.

When you make anonymous use their real name, I will mine as well. Why do I need to say my name? You wanna dox me or some shit?

                  • Yet I tell you again and you ghost me.

Next time I speak you will say I never told you where I am at, yet again.

                    I have EP Fatigue.

I do not think you realize how much of a broken record you have become.

    • As their last (((S)))election has hopefully showed even the ignorantly asleep citizens….

      It doesn’t matter who votes…
It only matters (((who))) counts the votes!!!

Over 109 countries can’t be all wrong for kicking out the tribe… let’s make the US 110 or so….

      YMMV…..

  5. Reading the comments, I’m sensing that some of you are considering reneging on your vows to swear off the utterly futile endeavor of voting in the upcoming elections. May I remind you that in spite of a putatively Republican White House, Congress and Senate, the tyranny continues apace — including the latest gun ban developments in Virginia. Have any of these supposed “conservatives” made any attempt at stopping this clear 2A violation — or even of bringing it to the attention of the public? (Indeed, I confess my own ignorance of these developments prior to reading Eric’s article.)

The Republicans aren’t even talking about the latest gun ban attempt, so you can dispense with the idea that they’re somehow going to save you from future gun bans. Trump has done nothing but enable the gun grabbing Democrats and has publicly stated his detestation of guns on more than one occasion.

Voting Republican (which is the right wing of the Communist party) will not save you. Just saying “No!” is what is needed to protect your unalienable, God-given rights, not outsourcing that duty to a trashbag politician.

  6. I’m with X on this topic. I had a now former friend from VA back in the McCauliffe era of the late teens plan to stow his potentially non-legal firearms with me in NC had the things they were threatening then come to pass. They didn’t then and the doofy-19 scam took over in 2020. When it got bad in the Spring, I half jokingly asked VA gun guy if it was “go time.” His unqualified rejection of even the thought of such thing was accompanied by actual fear of a novel virus, him wearing a mask, masking his 3 children, following every distancing and lockdown rule, and eventually taking every “vaccine” and bootsah that came along. He crowed that his matrix-y insurance job was deemed “essential” and that his career long goal of working from home in his jammies had finally been realized. And he still has his 30 round mags or whatever.

    • It *was* “go time”…only it wasn’t.

“Go time” only works if you have a LOT of friends.

To borrow some terminology from the BAS. I think it got pretty close to midnight, the clock was ticking down pretty fast, but never quite made it all the way down.

I’m not sure where the hands are now, but I’m not anxious to find out either. I’m pretty sure they’re a lot closer than they were in 2019, and I’m pretty sure they are not as close as they would have been under a Harris presidency.

When you arrive at the “peasant uprising” stage, everyone loses but the key is, which side does the army take? And if you think they won’t shoot at you, think again. There may be some individuals who won’t…they will be dealt with.

      • Hi Publius,
I think we got a preview of that when the ICE Gestapo murdered Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. The entire Govco response was basically “how dare he have a gun”. My 12 gauge is no match for a SWAT team but I hope to take out the first one that breaks down my door.

        • Maura Healy knows that, which is why the SWAT team has ARs with 30-round mags but you need a permit to have that 12-gauge.

Most of your fellow Bostonians applauded when the militarized cops did warrantless searches of private property after the marathon bombing.

“Cradle of liberty” my ass. It’s one of the few places that can make California and New York look almost “free” by comparison. It’s as if Gen. Gage is still in charge except now he’s a lesbian…

          • Have to agree X, hard to believe that the Revolution started here; these pussies even voted against a referendum that would have ended saaaaafety inspections. I’m at the stage of life where I no longer give a sh*t, so my comment above stands. That’s a hill I’m willing to die on.

            • Nobody voted for shit Mike. It is nothing but an utterly corrupt exercise in maintaining power. Which periodically favors one side of the coin over the other. Even in your state, if strict criteria were applied to all aspects of the vote, without the influence of the MSM/matrix thumbing the scales, the results would probably surprise everyone.

        • Don’t be so sure about that match up, Mike! When the lead man’s brains are splattered back upon the other goons that will take the vinegar out of most of those “heroes”. Blasting another one will most likely send them scurrying away to call for backup.

In close quarters, a 12 gauge loaded with #4 or #1 buckshot is the most brutal weapon one can have.

          • Indeed, and a slug is an awesome hammer which impact will make a tremendous impression on any recipient.

There is an even better item though, for a last ditch defense, a flamethrower. Fire will not respect body armor, and will put abject terror into an aggressive attacker.

            • Not only that, flamethrowers are completely unregulated under USA firearms laws.
Flamethrowers are not considered to be firearms…and are available complete from various sources.
Yes, you can get one shipped to you with no restrictions.

  7. The real solution to the DC statehood issue would be to go ahead and give it to them, but only on the condition that Northern Virginia and Southern Maryland be incorporated into it as well. It could be named “Fedlandia” or “Swamplandia” and its toxic inhabitants would be free to torture themselves with the most insane legislation imaginable. Both the rest of Virginia and Maryland would become less insane overnight, yes you would still have Richmond and Baltimore but they would be more evenly balanced by the rest of the state in both.

Note this does not mean that by electing Red Team critters is going to make things much better, how about the newly gained freedom from the Fed swamp dwellers be an opportunity to end the legacy party duopoly and start choosing candidates based on their individual merits.

    One can dream, no?

    • Note this does not mean that by electing Red Team critters is going to make things much better…

I don’t know. If you look at the votes in the Virginia senate, they are almost party line in every case. 21-19. There’s only one here or there where some squish jumped sides, like on their expansion of red flag laws, which came out 22-18. If they had managed just 2 more Rs…

Yes, I’m kind of obsessive about Virginia. It’s on the way out, and you can bet the controllers are taking notes. R is not a permanent answer, no, but it buys time until hopefully enough people get fed up with being mulcted, folded, spindled and mutilated.

      • The “Red Team” needs to stop fellating Israel and stand up against the Orange Douchebag’s idiocies such as his tariffs, empowering ICE goons and his abuse of “Executive Orders” (which shouldn’t even exist) before I can in any way the “lesser evil”.

There are probably some principled Republicans on the county/local levels of government but both legacy parties really need to be destroyed by fire.

        • National politics is almost a complete waste of time. I say almost because had Trump not outperformed the steal, the J6 persecutions would still be happening. We would have another 5, 10, 15 million illegals suckling at the teat.

But local is a different matter. As I pointed out on a different post, somewhere around 2.7 million VA voters are gun owners. Spanberger got 1.9 million. VA is getting what they are because too few bothered to defend their interests. Or maybe thought Rs are no worse than Ds.

VA is the poster child for how to lose whatever rights still remain.

  8. According to the Constitution of the united States of America, every stat is to be guaranteed “a republican form of government”.
The Supreme Court of the united States of America has ruled against a truly honest form of government—the canton system.
If states were truly allowed to form and operate “a republican form of government”, for state officers, the federal system would be mirrored.
Today’s state government are “winner take all” arrangements in which the areas (large cities and counties) with largest population figures determine not only the choice of candidates, but also the outcome of the election.
This process effectively shuts out representation from most of the rural areas due to lower population figures.
A fair way to reform the system would be for election results for each candidate to be determined on a county-by-county basis, mirroring the electoral college system as used for the president of the united States of America.
A state system of electors within each county would require them to declare the candidate with the most votes the winner within each individual county. This would provide true representation for the entire state, not just the major population centers.

  9. Virginians my advice is when faced with a set of untenable options…to go get more options. Ok, many at this website feel voting is waste of time, perhaps that is true considering mail-in voting promotes fraud.

Here is a story of success from a similar state…Wisconsin where the state is run by a couple of Marxist counties. Ron Johnson was running for re-election in a tight race against a Marxist-democrat. A firm called Omega for America used their fractal analysis on the voter rolls and found where the fraud was of ballots being manufactured via sent to commercial buildings where no one lives, homeless shelters where there were only 20 beds and 200 ballots sent, apartment complexes where people had moved but more ballots sent that residences. Omega runs the voter rolls in comparison to county assessor property tax data. They went to the Register of Voters with lawyers and threaten a suit to the attorney general. Reluctantly these counties were forced to clean up their voter rolls and guess who won in a tight election: Ron Johnson.

You guys can try that… otherwise stock up.

  10. I still think each state needs an electoral college type system for statewide offices and issues so that the urban leftist hellholes couldn’t control the whole state. Say, each county counts as one vote.

      • Eight hacks in black:

‘The superficial resemblance between one of the [overruled] Alabama apportionment plans and the legislative representation scheme of the Federal Congress affords no proper basis for sustaining that plan, since the historical circumstances which gave rise to the Congressional system of representation, arising out of compromise among sovereign States, are unique and without relevance to the allocation of seats in state legislatures.’

        https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/377/533/

‘Without relevance’ — because we say so! — as they implicitly condemned the very structure of Congress.

Mentioning ‘sovereign States,’ as they further stripped them of sovereignty, was a gratuitous mockery.

The opinion was written by the notorious Commiefornicator, Earl Warren, who also whitewashed JFK’s assassination. And he was a Repugniclown, naturlich.

      • Thanks for bringing this up, I’ve beat this drum before. Looking at the Virginia map in Eric’s article, if your State gov had one State senator per county the lib steamroller would end. Crazy State reps would get shut down by a majority sane State senate. These senators could also be the Electoral College for your state elected officials.

Here in WA it’s the same story, due to that US Supreme Court ruling my conservative rural county has 1 State (R) senator and neighboring King County encompasses 8, all (D). These districts are by approximately 160k population so they do spill over county boundries but the result is left wing urban population centers rule both house rep count and the senate count. No more republican form of State government under that g. damn ruling.

Virginia your pain is just beginning. Next up will be the screwing of your elected sheriffs as is happening here in WA. The establishment of an unelected “sheriff review board” run by the State is about a done deal.

  11. Oregon is also overwhelmingly red, with a few DEEP BLUE hive minds such as Portlandia. However, it has a Democrat governor and Democrat supermajority legislature, and it appears that every time the legislature is in session, these authoritarian wannabe Democrat legislators want to SHOVE all sorts of crap down the throats of Oregonians who aren’t crazed lunatics. Bills from eliminating exemptions to vaccine mandates to bills aimed at disarming gun owners to bills shoving even more taxes down our throats. The Republican minority has ONE tool to stop the worst bills via denying quorum by walking out, but they refuse to do so given that Oregonians stupidly passed a ballot measure a few years ago that says legislators who walk out of session and have 10 “unexcused absences” can’t run for re-election.

    • Did you see where Oregon wants to outlaw hunting? All they need now to be a true California is to legalize (or decriminalize) pedophilia. Hell…NAMBLA has been wanting to lower the age of consent to three….the sick bastards.

      • Yes I did Shadow. This petition sounds like it was written by WEF sociopaths who want the masses eating bugs and frankenfood made in a lab, though it’s framed as “Ending animal cruelty”.

    • Tiny even tried to jack up the already ridiculous gasoline tax without bothering those pesky voters who reliably vote to increase taxes anyway.

  12. Virginia is one of a slew of states with just a few blue counties in an ocean of red ones.

The blue counties have the population centers, and thus, via *democracy*, rule the entire state.

I think it’d be nice if more state constitutions mimicked the US Constitution (pre 17th Amendment):
    • one or two state senators per county, appointed by the County (in whatever manner County residents saw fit, by way of County ordinance);
    • an Electoral College for electing the state Governor.

Could this prevent city dwellers in a state from trampling the rights of “normies” in the rest of the state?

  13. The Spanbergering begins:

‘Gavin Newsom, widely seen as the early front-runner, will next week release his new memoir, Young Man in a Hurry: A Memoir of Discovery, a book The New York Times called one of its “most anticipated” of the year.

‘In the lead-up to the book launch, Newsom and his family were featured in a Vogue spread, where they were photographed by Annie Leibovitz.

‘In the book, the California governor details his undiagnosed dyslexia and writes about the dichotomy of his parents’ divorce and how he shuffled between life with his mom — who worked three jobs to support her children — and life with his father, who moved in the Getty family’s social circle and was surrounded by wealth.

‘Newsom — whose aides have been planning the book launch for months — is expected to saturate the media ecosystem with interviews and campaign-style stops in places he’ll need to win to gain his party’s nomination, including South Carolina and New Hampshire. He is expected to launch his book in Nashville, Tenn., a red state, and will also travel to Atlanta.’

    https://thehill.com/homenews/campaign/5740771-2028-democratic-primary-candidates/

Yeah, right! Annie Leibovitz shot my portrait just last week. But I didn’t like the way my hair looked, so I made her trash the negatives … and she moved on to Gavin.

    • NYT is spreading CIA/Zion psyop Spinberger–she’ll be Newsom’s running mate. (Usually you can’t access but this article is not under paywall.)

“She liked the adventure, she said, but “I definitely did different things where I’m like, ‘I don’t really want my kids to grow up and pursue this line of work.’” Or, “Glad my mom doesn’t know about this.” (or the voters either/her morals are epstein’s) …Ms. Spanberger, who eked out an upset victory in 2018 (blue Hilary wave) against the Republican incumbent Dave Brat, a Tea Party member, formed a tight bond with the group of women with national security backgrounds elected to the House that same year. Among them were Mikie Sherrill, now the governor of New Jersey, and Elissa Slotkin, now a U.S. senator from Michigan.

Ms. Spanberger and Ms. Sherrill were roommates in a house on Capitol Hill, but all the women got together regularly in Washington for drinks and dinners. “We had a very active — still do, actually — group text on Signal,” said Ms. Slotkin, a former C.I.A. analyst who served multiple tours in Iraq. “Many, many things have been discussed over the past eight years.” ….“We both came to feel that in order TO TRULY STAND UP FOR PEOPLE, it was going to TAKE THE EXECUTIVE POWER found in the governor’s office,” said Ms. Sherrill, who still texts with Ms. Spanberger almost daily as both get used to working with state legislatures, picking cabinet members and handling snowstorms.

Ms. Spanberger said that one positive aspect of her new job was the authority to change things with a stroke of a pen, as she did with ICE.

“IT DOES SUIT MY PERSONALITY,” she said.”
      https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/16/us/politics/spanberger-virginia-governor.html

She is representative of most white women (and men) these days. If they will murder their own babies to get ahead, what won’t they do? 2nd generation ERA: won’t ever say she don’t stand by her man or bake cookies; most likely she will say the reverse and then like Noem and the men cheat. Divorce, contraception, abortion, porn. #JewishFamilyValues.

In terms of gun control, it seems as EP says mostly due to rural vs urban (like what happened to the wild west when women and children/city people moved in). But read that there are 2nd amendment sanctuary cities being declared. AI:In late 2019 and early 2020, over 120 towns, cities, and counties in Virginia declared themselves “Second Amendment sanctuaries” . These local resolutions, primarily in rural areas, aim to oppose the enforcement of gun control legislation passed by the state legislature. While widespread, these declarations are largely symbolic and do not legally prevent the enforcement of state laws.

      • Spanberger is pure CIA, there was not even the slightest attempt to hide it as was the case of both Bushes/Clinton/Obama. That is where the fake “conservative” mediasphere will delude its follows, they will keep squawking about the “radical left” as if she actual represents the screeching purple haired idiots and not who she TRULY represents, the “intelligence” agencies and their globalist/oligarch sponsors.

“Gun control” has become the big issue to the swamp monster as many people are waking up to what’s really up and who’s really in charge. And this is NOT limited to the “Blue Team” witness the “first take their guns away” and “he should not have been carrying a gun to a protest” rhetoric from the Orange Turd and his minions.

Do not trust ANY politician on the 2nd amendment issue these days.

  14. I surmise that this is where the rubber meets the road. When you find out who the men are from the boys, and the women from the girls. At some point those who want your guns WILL come for them one way or another. Will you fight or give in? These monsters are not going to care if you get shot, that just means one less gun owner to contend with. Life means nothing to these people, and certainly not gun owners who are willing to stand up. The ones that are willing to give up a little for peace do not deserve them. The problem is, American society in general has never really had to fight for anything. Now that day is here, and one is going to see just how tough (or spineless, puny) Americans really are. Everyone knew such a day was coming. Everyone knew the Demon-Rat, Commie loving Democrats were going to come for the guns, and now it is here. Not tomorrow, not ten years from now. You are also going to find out who your real friends are, and while some may surprise you, others who will stand with you may also surprise you in a good way. It sucks that such a day is here, but much like waiting for the torture session to arrive, let’s just get this done and over with. No one is going to enjoy what is here, except maybe for the sadists who love conflict, disarmament of citizens.

    • Nobody’s going to fight for anything. This is not 1775. There are no alternative institutions around which dissidents can coalesce to form a resistance. Everywhere in the West, White men have been co-opted by the Welfare State. Do you want your nice truck, your nice job with a pension, and your nice house with football and porn on the cable TV? Or do you want to empty your 401(k) to hire a defense lawyer, get convicted, cop a felony, lose your job, and go to prison because you have an 11-round magazine instead of a ten-round and your AR-15 was unregistered?

You will comply. There are hairy, tough White men everywhere in the West who love guns and love shooting, and everywhere they have been brought under the control of the feminized, post-industrial welfare state and submitted to gun control. Australia, Scotland, New Zealand, Canada, France, Germany, California, New York, etc., etc.

Do you have any idea how tough the Aussies are in the outback of Queensland? They get arrested for illegal guns. Do you have any idea how rugged and remote New Zealand is? Yet that horse-faced socialist cunt Ardern declared, in her obnoxious accent, “Nae-body needs a seeemi-automatic assault weepon” and that was that. Done.

The Lexington militia shooting at the Redcoats who tried to take their guns in 1775 was a completely sui generis, one-off event. No White men have gotten away with it anywhere since. The blacks and the Muslims will shoot at The Man because they are spontaneous and impulsive, and because many of them have nothing to lose. White guys won’t.

The last time White guys tried to mount an organized armed resistance in the West was 1861, when you had a cadre of trained and experienced officers and state militias and state governments supporting it.

      You know what happened.

During the 20th century the hairy White guys who loved to shoot and hunt and fight were co-opted by the politicians to go and fight the Nazis and the commies. “Hey, dude! Ya like guns? Join the Marines and we’ll give ya a really cool one to go shoot Nguyen with!! And if you survive we’ll give you a medal, a pension, and VA healthcare for the rest of your life! Deal?”

But those days are over now. Blue states are governed by Jews and Karens — Pritzker, Polis, Healey, Hochul, Spanberger (and the creep Newsom, who married a yenta girl that slept with Harvey Weinstein).

They fear nothing more than White guys with guns. Not black rapists and murderers, not illegal aliens, not Muslims.

      • So go ahead and bend over to your masters when you cannot even bother to fight. While trying to convince the rest of us submission is the only way to survive. Give up your guns because they outnumber you and you might actually die standing up for somethin…heaven forbid. If you are lucky your masters might use lube.

        • No, I’m refusing to get bent over in the prison shower.

Who’re you gonna fight, anyway? The cops? They’re paid mercenaries for State, they’ll kill you even if they think the laws are bullshit.

There was a guy maybe 8-10 years ago who lived near Elmira, literally five miles from the Pennsylvania border. He was a public school principal, making $90k a year with state pension and benefits. It was a rural area and he was a gun guy, and he thought the gun laws were bullshit so he never registered any of his shit. Then when he was in the process of an acrimonious divorce, his whore wife called the cops because she was “afraid” of him.

Well, when the cops show up for a “domestic” they automatically search the place for weapons. The guy had enough unregistered stuff to get 150 years (7 years for each magazine, if you have ten that’s 70 years right there).

The moment she made that call, his life was over. He was going to lose his job and pension get a boatload of felony charges for shit that was 100% legal five miles away, so he met the cops with a shotgun. He died and the cop died. Cuomo came up for the cop funeral and didn’t say a word, it was the only time ever he that kept his fucking big mouth shut.

Both the principal and the cop died for his gun law.

That’s the way it rolls, bro.

            • Didn’t work out that way for Carl Drega. Though maybe not the ideal poster child, how many are after the media get ahold of the story?

              • Nobody followed up. Carl Drega, Lavoy Finicum, Gordon Kahl, were all heroes, but were martyrs because nobody followed up.

Lexington and Concord would have been losses had the militia “rabble” not followed up.

      • Well said X. Over the years you hear about secession movements in different states and people act like it could actually happen. Just the other day there was something about the western edge of Virginia and Maryland splitting off to join West Virginia. Dream on.

People will continue to take it no matter how much they complain. Here in NJ we have the highest property takes in the country. Averaging just over $10,000 a year. Everyone constantly bitches about it, but when the next election comes, they vote for the same people or someone worse. You will need a lot more downside before people start to act.

      • “There are hairy, tough White men everywhere in the West who love guns and love shooting, and everywhere they have been brought under the control of the feminized, post-industrial welfare state.”

After reading several comments on this thread today I am pretty sure they are being brought down by their defeatist nature. I could not imagine standing by any man/woman that says, “Just give up, roll over, and kiss the boot.” What if we acted this way during the Plandemic? We don’t need a majority or even pitchforks and torches, but we do need to draw a line and stick to it. This is not about following their stupid and irrational laws, but self respect and dignity. Giving up has never made anyone’s life better. If it is the government or the elite one is rolling over for…they are going to kill you anyway. That has always been the outcome.

We keep thinking that the minority doesn’t matter. I disagree. The minority threw trans in our lives and setup DEI policies. We saw countries such as North Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan beat back militaries inundated with state of the art equipment as they used guerilla warfare to survive. A few million of us refused to wear masks, get our noses swabbed, and put a shot in our arm five years ago.

Going postal is absurd, but hundreds if not thousands, disobeying orders and refusing to comply is what keeps this country from turning into draconian nightmare. We are stuck. There is nowhere to run. Are we men or mice?

  15. One other wildcard to consider are the sheriffs in the rural counties and the 2-A movement that most of those rural counties voted to uphold several years ago. Gov. Pantsuit Peron and her band of revolutionaries may have dreams of a socialist state but I suspect a lot of the self sufficient, “leave us the hell alone” people will not buckle and give in to the overlords dictating out of Richmond. It may get ugly quickly if they push it.

  16. ‘Virginia has a new – very Left – governor.’ — eric

Mind the propaganda, though, in which hard-Left ideologues are cameoed by a fawning Lügenpresse as ‘centrist’ and ‘moderate.’ Yesterday’s NYT article about the Spanbergering uses both wildly inappropriate words, while citing her solemn pledge in 2020 that “we need to not ever use the word ‘socialist’ or ‘socialism’ ever again” — because why be frank and honest, when you can pose as ‘moderate’ until it’s time to start grabbing guns and slitting throats? NYT article, archived:

    https://archive.ph/lXzOh#selection-5183.13-5183.87

The pilot project went great in Virginia and New Jersey, so the whole country is up for Spanbergering this autumn.

Who would’ve thought that a Jersey girl carpetbagger with a Hebrew surname (acquired by marriage) would start grabbing guns as Job #1 once elected?? I sure didn’t see this coming!

  17. After witnessing the behavior of the left, I’m not surprised they want gun control. Kicking and screaming and acting like an ass might get you shot.

Just like good fences make good neighbors, unrestricted concealed carry help people keep in good behavior. I’m all for live and let live, but not if you’re violating my rights in the name of your twisted idea of justice.

    • Hi RK,

These people claim to be liberal and tolerant, but their behavior over the past several years, particularly toward those who refused to comply with nonsensical COVID diktats, proves they’re either heavily propagandized or little more than blood thirsty authoritarian wannabes. I’ve also noticed that they may have been critical of Big Pharma once upon a time, but after COVID, they’ve resorted to acting like Pharma’s biggest shills, as they even seem to think that multiple vaccines given to adults & children is somehow “Science”.

        • In that case Eric, if Spanberger is also all in with the cliiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiimate change nonsense, I’d be on the lookout for her to try to decree face diaper mandates disguised as “Stopping the spread of CO2”, as face diaper mandates were also framed as “Stopping the spread of COVID” despite NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that face diaper mandates had any basis in REAL SCIENCE. If she doesn’t do that, she and/ or the Democrat run State Legislature may try to shove carbon taxes down the throats of Virginians.

The Democrat run Oregon legislature wants to enact a so-called “Climate Superfund”, but I sense that that is little more than a ginormous scam for unelected bureaucrats, politicians, and NGOs to get wealthy at the expense of Oregonians who aren’t wealthy elitist snobs.

  18. I have a question. Let’s say this passes the Virginia Senate and Abigail signs it…then what? What is the enforcement? Will they be barging in our homes and taking inventory?

There are millions of rules on the books. We all break them. Why is this no different?

We lived through a psych op six years ago in this country. We should all be more resilient, critical, and suspicious for it. The only response to whatever stupid law they pass is “Screw you, I am not going to do what you tell me.”

    • “Will they be barging in our homes and taking inventory?”

No, they fer getting shot doing that so they will bust people incidentally on domestic violence calls, narcotics arrests, fire/medical, etc.

        • Hi X,

Most laws come with a loophole, right? What is the loophole in this one? They are stating everything prior to July 1, 2026 is grandfathered, correct? Even if they show up for the above incidents how do they know when the firearm was purchased?

This is all borderline fear. 3D printing makes the confiscation of guns near impossible. The Dems are in a losing battle on this one.

Look at it another way (and this is my own psych op when things start to feel overwhelming) what is the worst that happens?
One has a broken leg and the ambulance is called. For some odd reason the AR 15 is lying on the kitchen table or EMT feels the needs to verify the contents of your safe before they load you in an ambulance. Does the Sheriff’s Office now do a walk through of the home? Will they be loading you and your broken leg into a police car? Are you and your broken leg now spending the next 12 months in jail because some liberal judge has an axe to grind?

If we run every scenario in our mind from best to worst you will realize how many things have to fall in place to achieve it.

          • -Yes, grandfathering is a loophole to appease the “I got mine” crowd. They’re playing the long game knowing they can enforce it at the retail level on future generations.

-3D printing is not nearly as convenient or durable as the internet leads people to believe, you still need manufactured proof-steel barrels and stuff like that anyway. Blue states have already made printed guns a felony and California just banned the sale of barrels and parts.

-Any time the cops or EMTs are in your house whatever they see can be used as “probable cause” for a search or a warrant for one.

-Cops arrest injured people all the time, they go to the hospital in an ambulance and arrest them there, or the DA waits to file the charges until after they have been treated and released.

The Jewish billionaire oligarch Bloomberg spent $100 million to hire a bunch of top lawyers to figure out how to pass these laws and they’re succeeding in every Blue state.

            • Okay X, short of ignoring the laws, which is the only way I see around this, but are our options?

We don’t have $100 million to fight Bloomberg. Now what? Moving is not an option for me. I am not going to turn tail and run.

The majority of this board says, “don’t vote.” We didn’t. Now we are under attack. What are our choices? How do we fight it? I am truly asking for solutions.

              • “What are our choices? How do we fight it?”

You don’t have any and you can’t. The die was cast when the state voted for a one-party government. The courts are not going to be much help. You can move, or suck it up and deal with it, and/or just lay low and make damn sure you do not get arrested for anything.

As Thucydides wrote, “The strong do what they will, the weak do what they must.”

I live it every day. It sucks.

              • You fight this, RG, by non-compliance. If they ask you to surrender your firearms, simply ignore them. If they come knocking and claim they have knowledge of your ownership of them, tell them you lost it on a hunting trip years ago or whatever. Hide them if you’re worried about someone finding them in your home. Never comply, never surrender.

                • If you are hiding your guns, You’ve already lost the battle. If they come to take them you should assume your life on this planet is over and act accordingly.

Solzhenitsyn had the answer 60 years ago. Also, at the point where the Solzhenitsyn rule becomes a necessity, then going on offense should be directed action at every TV/MSM personality. Fuck those guys/gals and their continual pimping for the status quo.

            • “They are stating everything prior to July 1, 2026 is grandfathered, correct?”

Not all of them. The “ghost gun” legislation does not, and last I looked, neither does the expanded red flag.

    • IME, almost everyone has slipped up at least once. Bought ammo with a credit card is a biggie. Buying anything gun-related in a state that scans your D/L. Filling out a 4473, even one. Ordered gun stuff through the mail or over the internet. Heck, even ordering non-gun stuff from a company that also sells gun stuff.

Cops will just wait for the right moment to pick people off one at a time, without them having any idea they are next, or even that they are on a list.

Virginia is unique (so far, at least to my knowledge) in that their 3-D printer and 80% lower law has no grandfather. Already through the senate, the rest is a given. July 1, all people in possession of an 80%, even if it’s still an 80%, will be an insta-felon.

      • Having a sawed off shotgun in VA has been a felony for years…did the State go door to door to collect them all? Anyone advertising they have a ghost gun is a moron. Anyone buying anything gun related through the internet, on a credit card, or willfully supplying your driver’s license needs their head examined.

Steve, I am already in their database, because I have a CCW. If they are going to come and get me they are going to come and get me. The day must be slow if they have enough time to go track down a middle aged woman who is old enough to be called “Grandma”.

I am not living in perpetual fear because of a bunch of “what ifs”.

        • I don’t fear a general crackdown. They will pick their targets. The capability to prioritize the entire populace has been around for a decade or two. Palantir takes it to the next level.

My guess is the first batch will be those with a lot of misdemeanors. Then those who either bought a ghost gunner or who downloaded stuff from distributed defense. (You know darned well NSA maintains a list of all those who have ever accessed their website.) Then probably those who have ordered a large number of parts, particularly barrels.

By the time they work their way down to middle aged women, that description will no longer apply.

  19. Having lived through this, I can give you a fairly accurate picture of how it will unfold:

    1) They will enforce it in the urban areas against white guys and “make an example” out of them. Minority career criminals… meh, not so much. Prosecutors in places like Charlottesville and Richmond and Loudon will be playing to their left-wing voter base to get re-elected.

    2) They will soft-pedal it in the rural areas where there will be the most resistance. Rural prosecutors will be more likely to dismiss charges. Rural cops, who do not want to get shot on some mountain backroad trying to take people’s guns, will generally ignore it unless they have some other reason to make a bust: felon in possession, meth lab, domestic violence, etc.

    3) People in rural areas will bitch and talk big but most will comply. They will register their stuff or hide it. They will not be able to buy banned stuff at the retail level from dealers. Most of them have to work 40+ hours and only do a bit of shooting during hunting season, so as long as they have alternative weapons available that’s what they will shoot.

    4) There will be no real organized opposition because there are not alternative institutions of power not controlled by the State. Most people will bide their time and dream about leaving the state when they retire. Some will, some won’t. The younger generations will grow up having lived under the restrictive gun laws their entire lives, and will accept it.

    • “Rural cops…will generally ignore it unless they have some other reason to make a bust: felon in possession, meth lab, domestic violence, etc.” – X

The problem is that all it takes is for someone to say, “I saw Cletus makin’ meth” to bring in the SWAT goons. Accusations of “domestic violence” and “red flag laws” regarding mental acuity serve the same purpose.

Then you’ll have cops giving a press conference declaring they don’t know why the dead guy “resisted” their “lawful” actions. And this will apply double to those bootlickers cheering on ICE killings in MN.

      • Deporting illegal aliens is 100% lawful.

Banning any kind of weapon is 100% unlawful. It is also technically impossible, though economics tend to rear their ugly heads.

The second amendment is black letter law, anything to the contrary is null and void and of no force. Any attempt at enforcement must be met by the Solzenitsyn solution. You are here.

And just a final dig, wouldn’t it have been easier to at least try voting? Yes, they cheat massively, and yes They still have to be watched and disciplined after we elect them, but if you allow political predators to have power, this is what you get.
