On his own property!

A military veteran in Crawford County, Michigan has been arrested and charged with a felony assault with a deadly weapon after he called the cops when he found a man trespassing on his property.

The Blaze has reported that Thomas Donald was out hunting with his son on his own land when they came across the trespasser. Donald had an unloaded .410 shotgun while his son was using a crossbow.

When they came across the trespasser on a dirt bike, they escorted him back to the house and called the Department of Natural Resources. When the police showed up, everything went downhill fast. According to Heather Donald, when the cops showed up, Thomas Donald held up his open shotgun in one hand and held a shell in his other hand to show that he was not a threat.

But, the police did not get the hint and they soon had a pistol pointed at Donald as they put him in handcuffs and onto the ground. The following video shows what Heather was able to record before the police forced her to turn off the cell phone camera.

    • man, I gotta get out of this country fast. It’s no longer safe for even the most basic of human activity, such as.. walking down the street!?!

Now, to find a country that doesn’t have a police state, large inescapable tax burdens, and good gun laws (as in very few if any).

After searching, I think I’ll have to start my own. Maybe on one of those islands Greece is selling?

      • Land is cheap in Antractica. given the correct tools and methods, we could likely make a geothermal heaven under an ice dome.

It would last about 15 minutes before some A-hole in TPTB ordered an atomic test or something. 😛

Only option is to fight tyranny. RESIST. The old memes (and acts) still work – video isn’t yet everywhere, and there are ways to make it hard to trace you.

Better to not kill people, though I’m sure there are some who won’t hesitate. (Psychopaths have their uses, too.)

        • Jean – spot on.

Let’s say I became a billionaire of Gates-esque status. I bought a million acres of land. Offered parcels of land to like-minded people, so that we could form a non-Cloveritic community.

Do you suppose they’d leave us alone, even then? Even if we never left the acreage, never used (nor asked for) any government “services” but were entirely self-sufficient and self-supporting?

          Of course not.

They’ll never let us go. Ever.

          • that’s right. an argument against joining the infantry. or building one. small is beautiful. big is a drone target. d.c. de-coalesce. coalesce. we are the borg. reflex-resistance is useless. make some new memories for those muscles. etc.

          • They just wouldn’t not let us go, they would attack and not be satisfied until everyone living there was dead or in federal prison.

The only thing that might hold them off is that Gates-esque fortune if used to buy protection in the government. That’s the only thing they respect, the political power money may bring. Of course to use the fortune that way would violate the purpose. But I don’t see the government doing anything to the Rockefellers who have land on a large scale such that they have miles upon miles of their own private roads.

          • Dear Brent,

“… But I don’t see the government doing anything to the Rockefellers who have land on a large scale such that they have miles upon miles of their own private roads.”

            Quite right.

That’s because the Rockefellers, the Rothschilds, and other Bilderberg “elites” ARE “The Government.”

          • eric, if a person has never watched any of the Waco movies they need to simply keep their mouths shut. Anyone who wants to comment about that tragedy should at least be informed of what the thugs said, what they did, what they denied and what they were actually caught doing, such as firing into the house without warning and denying using automatic weapons when they were attacking with tanks, something they deny but which a FLIR video clearly shows. Of course there’s much more but just those basic points should be known by everyone. We’re so lucky in Tx. to have Sheriff Smith of Smith county protecting us since he was one of the offending felon attackers and now presents himself as some sort of people’s hero as a pro-gun activist, something he definitely isn’t. I’ll stop since I can barely contain myself on this subject.

  1. yea, huge mistake to ever involve the police in something like this. Not sure why they just didn’t run him off the property, seeing that they were a particularly good place to do so.

Anyway, anytime a pig sees someone else with a gun they immediately, due to various factors beyond the scope of this comment, must show they are the dominant one in the situation (regardless of the situation’s context) – which usually results in someone getting murdered at their hand. So, in the sick, upside-down, perverse set of norms that define our modern lives in this United State, the man in this story actually got off easy.

Funny how in retrospect the pig (“law-enforcer”) was much larger (in more ways than one after seeing his obtuse physique in the video!) threat than the trespasser (“law-breaker”). Even more ironic is that the pig was the invited one of the two.

Check out this hilarious tidbit on his website, especially the part about the “battered baby”:

    “I am the Officer”

I have been where you fear to be,
I have seen what you fear to see,
I have done what you fear to do –
All these things I have done for you.

I am the person you lean upon,
The one you cast your scorn upon,
The one you bring your troubles to –
All these people I’ve been for you.

The one you ask to stand apart,
The one you feel should have no heart,
The one you call “The Officer in Blue,”
But I’m just a person, just like you.

And through the years I’ve come to see,
    That I am not always what you ask of me;
So, take this badge…take this gun…
Will you take it…will anyone ?

And when you watch a person die
And hear a battered baby cry,
Then do you think that you can be
All these things you ask of me ?

LOL, YES AND YOU GET A FREE BIKE TOO

That piece of shit cop should be fired simply for being obese.

what a bunch of cunt cops

the police are acting more like soldiers in a foreign land than protecting the innocent in their own country,,,,,,,,,,,,,very sad

Thats what happens when you call the cops now in days. Fuck cops!!

Respect is earnt, not granted especially just with a uniform, police have lost the respect of the people as people cant trust the police to protect them, which is their duty. What an abortion this situation is

Who are these people and what are they trying to do to our beloved country? When is enough going to be enough?

rule #1 NEVER CALL THE COPS!!!!

Maybe it would have been better to shoot the guy and report a dead body ?

the cop didn’t want to be filmed (probably because he is ashamed at how ridiculous he looks in that uniform with the tire hidden under his shirt) and decides it’s now “evidence”?

  3. American Helots who think they can own property, and defend property, find out they *are* property?

Some people have to learn the hard way?

        Exactly right, and no wonder.

Philly Transit Police Chief Surprised Witnesses did not call 911 to Report Cop getting Beat up
        By Carlos Miller

        http://photographyisnotacrime.com/2013/09/26/philly-transit-police-chief-surprised-witnesses-call-911-report-cop-getting-beat/

Philadelphia transit police are upset that people witnessing an officer getting beat up by an alleged fare jumper inside the subway system just stood by and watched without calling 911, including one person who pulled out a phone to video record the altercation.

Perhaps this was just a result of apathetic people expecting somebody else to take charge or maybe a deeper issue of the growing divisiveness we’ve seen between police officers and citizens that has surfaced over the last few years because online videos.

It’s impossible to tell without interviewing the actual witnesses but it’s a little surprising to hear the outraged response from the police chief when cops in this country have done nothing but create an us vs them mentality between cops and citizens.

This is evident by reading many of the comments in The Blaze’s article:

Personally, unless I knew a cop personally and he happened to be a real upstanding guy; I’d let him get beat up for a while. It serves all of them right for violating their oaths of office and violating the people whom they are supposed to be the servants of. I was raised to think well of the police. They came to my school and seemed like “nice guys” who were there for my protection. However, it is blatantly obvious that that has all been a ruse and that the police are just another arm of the gov’t seeking to fleece the public and indoctrinate us into total control.

Answer me this. Why is it that a man who tries to defend himself from a trained canine that tries to bite his throat, and ends up killing the dog; is charged with assault of a police officer or murder? Yet, when a swat team breaks into your home in the middle of the night to issue a search warrant (for suspicious saran wrap in your car, yes, it can be that innocuous), it is their SOP to shoot and kill any and all dogs in the home to ensure the “safety” of the officers involved?

        ***

you reap what you sew and the police have brought this upon themselves by their abusive unconstitutional actions over the past few years. they have maced, tased, assaulted, beaten, shot and even MURDERED innocent, unarmed men/women and children.
the worm is turning! and you ignored our pleas to uphold your oaths of office..

        ***
Figure it out cops, this is the future that I have been waiting for. You have intimidated and harrassed us long enough, NO OE cares if you get the crap beat out of you

        ***

I was raised to respect cops, and until about 5 years ago I did…but this quote right here, “until they determin otherwise” from you is my biggest problem…the fact is, our founding fathers would be APPALLED at the police state we have allowed to form. Having ANY local police force AT ALL outside a lone sheriff is flat out unconstitutional. You don’t get to determine when force escalates, YOU don’t get to say, “they determined otherwise”…stop STEALING my tax money and go get a real job. EVERY act of aggression you commit against a citizen is an act of tyranny and oppression.

        ***

In the past I would have automatically helped the officer but after three officers stormed my business pointing guns at me only to find out they had the wrong address, I would definitely want to know the situation and if the punk was in uniform or if it was the other guy!

        ***

I have to go to the last week when a man at a school board meeting was(in my eyes) accosted by a “cop” not only was the whole thing way over the top the “cop” piled on felony charges that would have placed a man railing against the frustration of not being able to control the wishes of the liberal mind set. And even the arrest was not valid.
A true LEO would have left him do his thing as he was not violent and moved him out in a respectful manner and handled it outside by just having him leave.
That cop I would love to have been in this situation.
Problem is that perp, had I been there, would have had a weapon pointed at him – am not going to allow a human like him or not be beat.

        ***

GOODSTUFF, I don’t hate cops, I just don’t trust them anymore, even my own brother in law & cousin that are cops. The way they are being trained these days by the progressives, militarizing their forces, we freedom loving, constitution abiding, conservative, libertarian, returning veteran, hard working americans are their enemy.

The comments go on and on and reveal a serious distrust and disregard for police officers in general, mainly because of personal experiences or videos they have seen.

I admit I would be the one video recording, not necessarily because I wouldn’t want to help the cop, but because pulling out my camera and recording is very instinctive for me, while dialing 911 is anything but.

In fact, my instinct is to avoid calling 911 at all costs because I don’t trust police enough not to turn me into a suspect when they arrive, which we have seen happen numerous times in the past.

And judging by the comments in the Blaze’s article as well as My Fox Philly, which originally reported the story, I am not alone in that sentiment.

And it’s unfortunate we feel this way because most of us are law-abiding citizens who would not physically fight a police officer.

We just no longer assume they are the good guys when we see them physically fighting a citizen.

        • “Philadelphia transit police are upset that people witnessing an officer getting beat up by an alleged fare jumper inside the subway system just stood by and watched without calling 911, including one person who pulled out a phone to video record the altercation.”

Ahaha…. They didn’t even mention the two pretzel vendors and the popcorn guy who made their day’s sales from the crowd that gathered to watch.

The crowd was clapping and chanting:
          Hit’im(clap) Up(clap) Side the Head
I say Hit’im Up Side the Head (clap) (clap) (clap)

Hit’im (clap) Up(clap) Side the Head
I say Hit’im Up Side the Head (clap) (clap) (clap)

They worked themselves into a tumultuous uproar.

          • Dear Ed,

            Amen to that.

This comment was especially ascerbic, and dead on:

“you reap what you sew [sic] and the police have brought this upon themselves by their abusive unconstitutional actions over the past few years. they have maced, tased, assaulted, beaten, shot and even MURDERED innocent, unarmed men/women and children.
the worm is turning! and you ignored our pleas to uphold your oaths of office.. ”

As Larken Rose correctly noted, we outnumber them a gazillion to one. All that is necessary to end this disguised form of slavery, is for a critical mass of individuals in any given society to see through the Myth of Authority.

    • Dear DS,

“… find out they *are* property?”

      You nailed it.

That’s the very heart of the issue.

Slavery was never abolished, merely repackaged as “democracy.”

Serfdom and “tithes” were never abolished, merely disguised as “citizenship” and “taxes.”
